You should play a round with both the expansions!
We don't usually do more than one full playthrough for a game, but when we do play with the new factions, we'll be sure to tweet and post pictures of the battle.

Best playthroughs of boardgames on TH-cam, bar none! Would love to see you play again with the orcs and skeletons (I'm gonna be maining orcs myself, but buying everything either way :p), and maybe get into some light deckbuilding with those :)

Great series! Hoping you play a game with the expansion sets, just to show off how they play.
Glad you enjoyed it! We don't usually do more than one full playthrough for a game, so there are currently not plans to do another. Lots of people have asked about the expansions though, so we're likely going to play it off screen when I get back from Essen, and we'll be sure to post pictures.

Hey guys, loved the video. Quick question: when Targor drove Obryn back, doesn't it have to be directly backwards? And considering Obryn couldn't go back, he would be considered trapped and thus the attack would be counted as a success?
Thanks Major! The movement doesn't have to be directly backwards. Since the game has a hex grid, any of the 3 backwards facing directions are options when being pushed.

Great channel, and awesome video! I have one concern, maybe you could help me with that. Is this game repetitive? I mean, just by quickly looking at it it does seem lacking some depth, move X spaces throw dices until one of the two sides is dead. Won't this become quickly boring?
I'm not trying to troll, i'd love a skirmish game with these awesome miniatures in a fantasy setting, and if it's good i'll buy it in no time...
+Tommaso Jacchia Hey Tommaso, thanks for the question. I avoid any kind of reviews or recommendations on this channel. What one person will find repetitive and boring, someone else will find thoroughly engaging. I find it hard to guess what different people will find fun, so I just stick to teaching and playing the games, and hope that it can help the viewer see if the game would align with their personal tastes.

Cool game. Not sure if it is for me, as I find it a little too random for my taste. I wish there was a hand management aspect to it which would allow you to use cards to manipulate the dice (at least more than these cards do). I like that the winning condition is objective based because the blue guys seem significantly stronger than the red. At least the game is short which means you can play a best-out-of-three game.

My playgroup has been playing every week since it came out and with the expansion cards and repeated familiarity with our decks the variance hasn't completely disappeared but it has shrunk considerably. :)
He took the expansion and run away... He won twice!!!

When Rodney dispatched Gorebeard with Obryn, shouldn’t he have placed an attack token next to Obryn? Making the subsequent charge illegal? I might have missed something though 😅 anyways it was a glorious move.
+Daniel Termin Attacking doesn't add any tokens. You add a token when you move, or when you charge. Hope that helps!

my 1st game: I used Imperials the other guy used the khornetes --- I defeated him with very much ease... With 12 or more Glory PTS more than him... Second match: another guy from my local store joined and he wanted to use at all costs the the Imperials... And he defeated me really badly, more or less something like 20 (Ouch !!!) Glory PTS vs 2 Glory PTS (my score) more or less (we used the "king of the hill" token mode / rules called "Katophranes Artifact" that you can see at the end of the rulebook...). So...After those 2 very unbalanced matches (in terms of ratios in scores) I started to think that the base set 's Chaos Band do really suck and has too few life points and powerful base attacks, in general, in order to hope to win just by beating the 3 Imperials to death as they are supposed to do in order to be "lore wise coherent" in terms of "way of battling against enemies". If you got what I mean... And the starter set Chaos bands is obliged then to act in a contrary way compared to the way they prefer which is "kamikaze like attack and chopping heads off the enemies"... With no keeping numbered "hot spots" at all... They are then obliged to create a deck of cards related to and linked to capturing objective points and avoid attacks instead of the opposite way, such as "attack and attack again with no remorse... Do not even think about taking / keeping objectives and avoid with agility or just ignore the damages you suffer.... And similar "lore linked" stuff.
So, what do you think about that ? Don't you share with me the idea that the core set of the game do introduce a chaotic band that is quite unplayable - at least for "newbies" - and that the 3 imperials are too much overpowered if compared to the 5 chaotic thugs ? How can the chaotic band be played the way that the lore suggests instead by using the opposite strategies and tactics that a chaos warband would normally use ??? I tried to play a series of matches "by my own" or "single player" just in order to try some of the ideas I have about this issue and the ways that a khornite team should play and make attacks or strategical retreats... And I've seen no victory for that team... Usually wins the Imperial side... Expecially if the objective "Kataphrane Artifact" is activated by setup... Since the chaos warband members have not the insane life points the imperials have so they do die quite easily, like mosquitos, and they are not oriented towards "top level defence and skills in keeping the designated objective"... As instead the imperials are... What sort of deck do you then suggest me to use in order to see the chaotic team kill at least one or two members of the other squad and, not necessary to mention, try to win at least once ? How and what cards do you use and setup for the above mentioned band in order to see it landing some average blow and not the low level damages they do from the start... Keep in mind that they have not a good "exalted" side too... Since they gain only movement and few more things instead of gaining more life and or defence or attack chances or chances to survive attacks... !!! As it is, the chaos band seen in the core box of the game has hardly a chance to beat the skeletal team or the skaven, and only if they manage somehow to go "close and personal" with those miniatures... Which is kinda difficult or unlikely to happen... Don't you agree with my ideas =) ?
Although we teach “how to play” on this channel, we avoid getting into “how to play well” :) That we leave up to the viewers to explore! I might be a bit late to the party, but a fluffy reason why the Stormcast get inspired is because they are liberators. Liberators are the stormcast's defensive units and are inspired when they hold the line.
It's a shame I couldn't hold the line better!
