- The next leg of our Wales Tour takes us to one of the most terrifying ridge walks in the UK - Grib Goch. BUT it was so worth it, the experience and the views were something to remember for a lifetime. Then we had the hike down with the sun setting over the Irish Sea. This is stuff dreams are made of!

Stunning and now I appreciate why my son lives and works in snowdonia leading outdoor pursuits, he has his priorities right in life👍
Definitely has the right priorities George, what a life 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Couldn’t agree more and keep the blogs coming plse, great photography and commentary👍
wow, wow, wow!! that was awesome. Well done guys.
Well done guys Crib Goch its an amazing route and a great sense of achievement and relief when you have done it, next time set off earlier and do the Horseshoe, took me and a friend about 8 hrs, oops sorry Michelle 🤭 forget I said that 😃 fabulous vlog and amazing view, certainly makes you feel alive when you are walking along that knifes edge 🏔🏔🏔🏔🚶🏻🚶♀️👍
You are right Geoff, the next challenge has to be the horseshoe, a good excuse to get back up there on Crib Goch! 🥾Definitely gives you the feeling of being alive! 😀👍 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
What a beautiful part of the world that is! Stunning video Andy & Michelle, gorgeous scenery and away from everything! Love places like that, really inspirational. Thanks for a great video, see you both soon xxx
That was a very special experience for us, one to treasure forever😀 see you soon 😉 x
Great video. I love this walk and it's awesome to see it with the drone footage. Thankyou for showing this.
Thanks Hedley, it is an amazing feeling being up there isn’t it😀cheers…Andy&Michelle
Amazing job Michelle; doing that ridge with a feat of heights is one superb effort. Good on ya. You did ok too Andy 🤣
Thanks Robert, it was definitely one to max out on the fear of heights!😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle
Good effort guys, I did that route many years ago and it’s not for the faint hearted, and like you Michelle, it was the first and last time!
Thanks Peter, he who dares wins! It's a good one to have in the memory bank!! Cheers...Andy&Michelle
😳 There is no way that we will be going up Snowdon that way even though Mark and our friend definitely want too! Oh my goodness that’s just too dangerous, too scary and I just kept thinking please don’t fall!! Well done Michelle so glad you got to tick that off your list, amazing achievement and what a beautiful sunset to finish it off with. Another fab video guys!
Thanks 😊 hope we gave you some sense of what it was like to do it, the experience was really special on the way up and on the way down 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
I hate heights! But could not stop watching you completing this! Absolutely well done, but the Pyg track was enough of an experience for our trip up Snowdon. Fantastic video 😍
It was an amazing experience, bit of a balancing act between holding on an filming though🤣 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Well done tackling Crib Goch! Beautiful views and a fine video
Thanks Paul, Crib Goch was an amazing experience for us 😀cheers…Andy&Michelle
Absolute brilliant video, done Crib Goch many times, didn't have a drone or a selfie stick but I have the memories, your video brings it all back 👍
Thanks David and glad it brought back some memories for you , the drone and selfie stick help but i'm sure you'll agree that nothing can describe the feeling of actually being up there😀 Cheers...Andy&Michlle
My old stomping ground before I moved onto Anglesey....nice to see! Still spend many hours on the road bike around Snowdonia, beautiful place to ride.
Both places really lovely Richard, you live in a beautiful part of the country 😀 cheers.. Andy&Michelle
Sooner you than me! Great achievement guys. 👍
Thanks Cheryl 😀 Andy&Michelle
stunning scenery
It sure is, we love it 😀 cheers.. Andy&Michelle
What an amazing Vlog. We watch your videos and have absolutely no idea why Warner Brothers have not made a film about you. Random fact - the cafe at the top of Snowden is the most challenging place that Lucozade have ever installed a vending machine. Great stuff and an amazing watch. We love you guys 😍 xx
Thanks both 😊 got to love a random fact, and thats a good one. Vending Machines aren't exactly the right size to put on the train up there, how did they do it? Take it to bits and rebuild on site? ( I've not seen it so I'm sure they didn't helicopter it there but what a great publicity stunt that would have been!!) Cheers...Andy&Michelle ❤️
Made a film about them? You serious?
Great video, wondered about the drone given the wind. Not for me, have had enough being terrified on mountains 😂 we can’t wait to follow your current holiday and route guys. Great quality vlog as ever !
Thanks Ian, yes we were really lucky to meet the guy ar.belhaj with a drone on the mountain. The route we are on has been fantastic so far, just one week in, five to go 😀 cheers…Andy&Michelle
Cracking one again 👍💙❤️
Thanks 😊❤️ Andy&Michelle
Good stuff, looks like you had lovely clear weather for it 👍
Yes the weather was ideal, we’d had a fantastic sunset the day before which is why we decided to hike it late in the day… Cheers.. Andy&Michelle
Great Vlog as always 👏
Thanks 😀 Andy&Michelle
Well done. I did that route in my teens but I must say I won’t be doing it again! Xx
Michelle said it was the first and last time too! I think I'll give it another go at some point though 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle x
I absolutely love your adventures and videos. I am glad you upgraded to the Hero 10. I remember all that handling noise with the 7, it drove me around the twist.
Great work guys, love the 360 stuff, I am a bit lazy with mine
Thanks😊 yes the GoPro 10 was a big leap forward in a lot of ways😀 desperately wanting a new GoPro Max to come out but not looking likely according to social media, cheers…Andy&Michelle
The Max is still very good
Nutters🤣🤣. Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it John😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
You’ve got bigger cahonnies than me Michelle! You wouldn’t have got me scrambling along that ridge 😳😃 Awesome vlog as always guys 👍🏻
They definitely were big on this ridge walk!, an amazing achievement for her 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Absolutely brilliant video but must say you are both radio rental. Well done. Take care and stay safe
Ha ha, never been called that before! Glad you enjoyed the video...Andy&Michelle
Well done Michelle. Its very exposed up there but not too technically difficult. Got benighted once on Lliwedd (big rock face on your left) trying to do an old Mallory route and ran out of light. Spent a very cold night up there shivering with my feet inside the rucksack
Benighted! That sounds like an interesting story to listen over a campfire and a beer! Cheers…Andy&Michelle
Great vlog both, thanks, need to do that route, looks great.
Thanks😀 it is a great route, an all time favourite now, need the right weather for it though, cheers…Andy&Michelle
kudos to both amazing hike across the ridge stunning views . I went up llanberis last july on our bikes and came down the rangers path that was bad enough in a thunder storm... fantastic video of your adventure
Kudos to you for doing it on a bike, we've done the rangers before on foot and you are on the edge for a while near the top! Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Just fab! 👌🌞 Lesley Waddell
Thanks Lesley 😀
A really really great video. 👍
Thanks😊, its now one of our favourites 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Well done Michelle as usual a walk in the park for Andy
Michelle did so well on this one, the 360 exposure was off the scale for over an hour, it wasn't completely a walk in the park for me either, it was the first time we'd done it so didn't know what to expect, cheers...Andy&Michelle
Well done. Epic footage and scenery. Have you tried the striding edge on Helvelyn in the Lakes. That has sheer drops both side and I had a few melt downs walking across, but felt amazing what I’d mentally achieved as I’m not too good with heights. Well done to both of you x
Thanks Jeanette, we've done Helvelyn but not on the striding edge route, its very high up on our list to do😀⛰ well done for your conquer of striding edge, we know very well that amazing feeling afterwards! Cheers...Andy&Michelle
That was a great video, well done both of you, special shout out to you Michelle it's not easy. I'd forgotten just how acute the ridge on Crib Goch, literally a knife edge. Amazing.
Thanks Chris and thanks for the shout out to Michelle, it was a massive achievement for her. Its a special place that ridge, Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Well done you pair of nutters, I fancy it but my brain is saying no lol, great job on your vids keep then coming slowly getting through them lol
Diolch mark and the hughesys 🏴
We've (well I - Andy) have wanted to do it for a long time, so glad we have now and I'm definitely going to go back and do it again. Good weather is key though and starting late afternoon after everyone had gone worked out well. Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Not in a million yrs would I walk that route 😳😱but great to watch 👍👍
Thanks, glad you enjoyed watching, it was a great experience for us up there 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
We did Snowdon when Eve was about 10. The ground was thick with frost, so we stuck to the main paths and NOT Crib Goch.
Wise choice we went up the Pyg on New Year’s Day once and it was treacherous, can’t imagine what Crib Goch would be like in the ice! Cheers…Andy&Michelle
Wow.
You could do that! Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Never a good idea to set off too late, in case either of you had a problem or got crag-fast on Crib Goch, in which case you would soon be in darkness up there. Well done on conquering scary Crib Goch though.
Good point Nicholas, we felt ok with our route down Llanberis but yes, if we'd had a problem up there on Crib Goch it would have got serious with temperature and loosing light, Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Great footage really enjoyed it. What drone & model did you use may i ask??
Hi Mike, the drone footage was from a guy we met on the mountain, (credited in the video) I think it was the DJI Air 2 from memory, we use the DJI mini 2 , tbh all DJI models are excellent 😀cheers.. Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures awesome!! Thank you for the reply & information. Subbed!! Look forward to more of your adventures... especially in North wales 👍😁
Crib gock? Its crib (creeb ) goch (ch as in loch ness) 😂 great video though👍 coch = red 👍 " red ridge"
We've just learnt a lot in that one sentence! 😀 We are thinking red ridge through the sun because it faces West? Glad you enjoyed it and sorry for the poor pronunciation! Cheers...Andy&Michelle
👍
Cheers Mike
Goch is not pronounced “Gock” but the “och” is the same as the Scottish “loch”
Thanks Nicholas 😀 - pronuncition not one of our strong points and this was a simpler one than most! Cheers...Andy&Michelle
NOPE!!
Ha Ha! next time we see you we'll go for a hike ⛰, sleep well Cheers...Andy&Michelle
