That photo with the cigar head and the tommy gun made him look completely deranged. Pretty amazing. The jacket is off, as is the bill. Both should be darker but he looks really fun regardless.
Loved this guy as a kid... I deeply regret customizing mine into a StarTrek Borg... stuck electronic parts all over his body... including hollowing out one eye socket with a soldering iron and shoving a capacitor inside for a borg eye... and then spray painted him black.
I just received Ace Duck in the mail yesterday. Thanks to Entertainment Earth! For having him marked down at a very low price… and yeah! I have to agree, the biggest gripes are the light brown color palette and the wings🪽 but overall. He looks amazing! Maybe SUPER 7 will correct this issue? And reissue another Ace Duck with more accurate colors from the vintage line?
Looks so much better and interesting than it’s vintage counterpart. Love all the design choices they made. It also would have been cool to see a cigar head with vintage hat style.
I remember the toy and went back to the cartoon to watch for ace duck. He was only on one episode where the turtles were flipping channels, and they briefly showed ace duck's face. 😆
He was a good guy based on the TV show he was on, he wasn't a bad guy for that reason. And good guys use guns.. Bond, Ironman/War machine, punisher... star lord
@WoodCraft Kits Yes, I'm glad they did that. -_- I'm sure if they continued with more time for the original cartoon style, they would have crammed Ace Duck, Fugitoid, etc. in the cartoon... just like they crammed everything else in there. 😆 I do see anthropomorphic characters able to make a comeback. Or some really well done fan episodes of these third party creations would be fun
I remember this figure was hard to get back in the day when it came out, it was so popular and found one eventually at Toys R Us and later got another one to leave inside the box which I still have; Ace Duck was an awesome figure to have and now as an Ultimate even better.
In the world of TMNT, Ace has always been my guy. The vintage figure is easily my favorite of that line. I’ve been looking forward to this figure for over a year. The washed out colors, the wing pegs, the shrunken size, $55? Sadly those were enough for me to cancel my BBTS pre-order of this figure. With all their hits, this was a big miss for S7 TMNT Ultimates line.
My vintage ace duck has a lighter jacket. I found all my turtles figures in storage the other day! Ace is missing his hat, but somehow I still have all four egg bombs.
It's like they moved all of the colors on him closer together on the spectrum. The yellow has more orange, the brown is less saturated, and even the orange bill is softer so it all starts to blend together. It's really baffling, but I guess whoever oversees this line felt that was the right look. At the same time, one of my criticisms of this line is there hasn't always been enough paint to give it that premium feel, and now I'm not liking these more painted figures. Other than the colors, he does look like a fun release and a good update to the old figure.
This spectacular character of Ace Duck from Super Seven, looks impressive, what beautiful details and luxury sculpting, the only thing that seems very strange to me, for what are those plane wheels 🛩 will be that with the purchase of other characters or a pack special will come the rest of his plane would be spectacular, very good review broh 👏🏻🇦🇷
The pegs for my wings are molded to thick for the holes they are suppose to go into. And I dont wanna force them in in fear the legs would snap making the wings kinda useless. But I do love the alt head with the cigar.
This guy is sitting in my Pile of Loot at BBTS, but I'm waiting on Ray to hit before I ship. I'm really pumped to get him though; I've only ever had a loose, incomplete Vintage Ace, and he's always struck me as one of the coolest (if rather stripped down respective to some of the other TMNT characters).
I'm just going to echo the growing sentiments of what seem to be more and more collectors here- for the price point, there is just no excuse for the poor quality control and paint apps across many of Super 7's lines these days- they are hit and miss to the point of almost bait and switch, as with Tygra and Ace and the Silverhawks "pearlized grey paint". I used to be a fan, they currently have the rights for almost all of my favorite IPs these days, but I'm selling the early figures I purchased and I'm moving on.
Wtf Happened with the colours? Did they not QA the initial test samples at all? They're completely wrong and just seem to blur in a big orange blob. Slash was way off too and much darker then the test images and original. They've really messed this one up badly.
Yesterday he reviewed Scratch and said he had good hips and praised that they fixed them finally so I guess this is the 2nd with good hips but 2 in a row is still a streak :)
I like that Dan, always talks about the issues, no matter who sent him the sample.
He reviews the figure and states both the good and the bad and everything in between.
But doesn't address it to Brian when he interviews him !
@@ultramag0343 I'm sure Brian sees the reviews. Don't need to say it in interviews when they are talking about upcoming products

I think this figure is my favorite just because they added stuff that wasn't included in the vintage that makes it even more worth it
Thank you so much for comparing this Super 7 Ace Duck with the Neca one. Im so shocked the Super 7 is shorter.
I’ve canceled all my Super7 TMNT preorders and I’m not sad about it. Thank god you guys have gotten these before the preorders hit! 😂

Pixel Dan! We need a collection tour!! It’s been years since we’ve seen how your toy room looks!

Just shy of 6 inches tall is really big. Some would say that’s the average size but I think it’s really big. Huge action figure 💯

Even the green on the Turtles logo no longer pops. You're right, it all feels so washed out. WTF happened?
Ace Duck is one of my favorite characters in ninja turtles although I don’t like the alternate head
Nice review! Great sculpt, but completely agree about the colors. Instead of brown, it’s a camel color. Jeans are Too light too IMO.
the orange bill on the vintage with 2 tones of brown really add something. Not sure why they'd make him sooo muted.

There is absolutely no way he could get that God damn jacket on with those wings and arms
Great Looking Figure 💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

Wing peg can be shaved around the peg to fit better and deeper.

I always saw him as guerilla gorilla's sky brother-in-arms
I have though about buying this, I had the vintage toy , but I really think this could fit into the TMNT movie line with a little paint wash
Bonita pieza. Ese pato me gusta mucho, lo tuve de pequeño y hace un par de años conseguí el vintage nuevamente!!
This Ace wins on the Accessories part But I really like Neca one an looks Way better!
The Neca is the winner. The Neca is the best😛
Nice toy

So cool
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🦆
I could have sworn the colors were more accurate in the promo pics..

I dont know why only scratch has that torso cut that is normal now in these days with action figures
I wish I had that toy a stuck for my collection
Only buy for the cigar head fantastic
super 7 has just been missing the mark on these recently. so sad.
Ima paint the jacket n hat
Is this the first super7 tmnt with good hips?
Yesterday he reviewed Scratch and said he had good hips and praised that they fixed them finally so I guess this is the 2nd with good hips but 2 in a row is still a streak :)

4 people don't like giant duck feet.
he's a total washout from flight school
... because the colors are washed out. except the feathers, which are too dark.
S7🤦🏾♂️
Worst QC in the line so far. Very cheap brittle plastic.
