Hello! If I'm buying tickets at the ticket office and I show my Singapore Tourist Pass, do the ticket officers minus the price down on the spot, or that's only available for online tickets? Also, I'm travelling with 2 other people, do I give all 3 passes to minus 5SGD for each ticket or what? Thanks!
Yes, it will reverts to a normal ez-link adult card. Hope you like it. Below is the link for further reading: On FAQs 12 - thesingaporetouristpass.com.sg/faq/sg-tourist-pass/
@@simplifytravellet’s say I return the Sg tourist pass after 6 days, will i get the refund? Or should we have return it immediately after end of the validity?
No, for after 6 days. You can only get a refund deposit within 5 days from the day of purchase. Don't worry, you don't need to refund at the Changi Airport, there are lots of ticket office around the city center. Here's the list for your reference: www.transitlink.com.sg/simplygo-ticket-offices/?ty=art&Id=107
Hi. I got a 'Tourist Pass Plus' when I visited Singapore in 2018. I'll be in Singapore again in a few weeks - will I still be able to top it up and use it again? I guess that I can use a foreign (UK) credit card to do this, but and will I get a surcharge fee for this?
You can check the from the top-up machine in any MRT station. You can refer to this video on the "step 4", where it will show you the validity of the card. - th-cam.com/video/5HgnrJ-U5O0/w-d-xo.html Each EZ-Link card has a lifespan of 5 years from the date of encoding. But do check from the top-up machine again. And Yes, foreign credit card can be use to tap in and out in any public transportation in Singapore, but remember that they are subject to administration fee, you can check with your bank on the fee.
Hello, if you think you are going to travel a lots using the train or bus and making use of the pass "PERKS & DISCOUNTS" (thesingaporetouristpass.com.sg/perks-discounts/), i would recommend the tourist pass. Clear as much attractions with the pass on the first 3 days (3 days pass). Then you can retain the pass and top it up with cash and use it as a normal cash card. (For the Singapore Tourist Pass, if you decide to retain the card, you can't refund your deposit.) But if you just mainly use it for public transport, i think the normal EZLink card is good enough.
Hi, if i arrived in SG 24 okt at 11.00 am and I leave SG 26 okt 08.00 am, how many days for Singapore tourist pass i need to purchase? 2 days or 3 days? Is the card start activated at 00.00 at the beginning of the day or the pass active at the time we purchase?
I think 2 days should be enough as your last day is very early, it will be a waste to use it. The card is activated on first use, not when you bought it. But remember you can also use your credit card to enter both the MRT and local bus services in Singapore. You don't have to get the tourist pass if you think you won't use it often. You can use it during your last day. (just that there will be administrative charge for your credit card)
Thanks for this info.. im traveling to SG next month. May i ask the last trip from Changi airport towards clark quay? Or its better to take a grab from the airport going to the hotel since its already evening time?
The last time from changi airport is around 2318. But depends on how late is your arrival time, taking the train will save u more $, although u need to transfer the stations. Grab is the only choice if u miss the last train.
Hi, I want to ask. I want to buy a Singapore Tourist Pass for 1 Day Pass, but I intend to use it the next day because I'll be arriving in Singapore at night. Is it possible? I read that the pass will be activated at the first usage of the pass of the day and not at the time of purchase, but I'm not sure. Thank you
Hi, sorry for the late reply, because i wait for another day to experiment your query. I bought the pass and wait for another full day, (use on the 3rd day) before i use the 1 Day Pass, and the answer is, it still work! That means, you can buy it at night and use it on the next day. But please remember that, you will only be able to get a refund of the rental deposit within five days from the day of purchase. Not from the activation date of your pass.
@simplifytravel Hi. Thank you so much for your effort. I did read an article saying that it will work so I didn't worry that much. It's better to know that it does work for real with evidence. Thank you and have a good day!
All the passes have only max, 3 days duration, so it couldn't cover your 8 days durations. In case if you want to get the pass, the Singapore tourist Pass might be the one as you can get back your deposit of $10.
Does 1 day pass period starts from the time we purchase ? If i purchase on suppose 10th May at 2pm so it will be valid till next day 2pm for 24 hours period?
This is based from the website, "The duration and validity of the pass is based on the operating hours of the basic public transport system, 1-day coverage of the pass begins from your 1st usage of the pass to the end of the public transport service for that day." So if start using on 10th May, it will end on 10th May of that day until end of the transport service for that day.
If you consider buying the pass, 2 pass for you and your wife. And if your kid is below 0.9m in height, then it is free for your kid to travel any public transport in Singapore. (MRT & Buses) But if your kid is above 0.9m in height, then your kid need a pass too. Hope it help.
As a frequent “tourist”, I’ve been coming here every year for 20 years already, I rely on EZ-link card, NETS Flaspay card a NETS Prepaid card. They work great together. My European MasterCard works fine for travel to but it’s not accepted in the top-up machines at the stations, so need to top up with cash.
