‘It uses air!’ More specifically, vacuum. It seems like the moving mechanism is just a cylinder rod, the exhaust port is what you are blocking. I've been binge watching these videos for the entire day and now I have developed an unhealthy obsession to get my hands on puzzles like these! Awesome videos, they keep me glued for literal hours! Now to go scour the web for some puzzles myself :P
Amazing. This could be my new fave. There's pumps that involve twisting the tip to open or close, allowing air pressure to build or release while you pump it manually. This worked that way but kind of backwards at the end. I'll never afford this but I'll never forget it. Thanks, Chris!
Watching this while stuck at home cause of this virus, thanks bro your videos are always welcome. Hope you're staying safe at this time stay bless from the uk

Hey Chris Just found your channel the other day and have been binging on your videos. This is by far the most awesome and ingenious puzzle I've seen so far. And man you've shown us some pretty crazy stuff.
"This is the LockPickingLawyer and what I have for you today is a fairly easy lock puzzle using a technique that is commonly used in the channel with a little twist..."
That is effing awesome! That is one of the most ingenious puzzles you've ever solved! Thanks so much for this one! See ya soon I hope, going nuts in isolation! Not sick and wanna stay that way! Keep healthy we all need you!

This was a good one, Chris. I actually felt an involuntary smile on my face while watching how the solution worked. VERY rare for me. Thanks - and stay safe. (from a guy quarantined in the Philippines).
Honestly when you were talking about the grease part of it I thought no that’s definitely a pump and I thought you needed pressure to unlock it but it ended up being vacuum which I called pretty early as well. what a great puzzle.
As a Mechanical Engineer I am so pleased when puzzle people like Rainer think well outside the box. Chris, if it was not so fortunate that you 'sealed' the answer partially by accident, but you said at the start about the air pump, so I'm sure you would have got there eventually, well done.
I was screaming the opposite i was hoping Chris would block then cause a pressure by resetting it to the beginning position and then the lock popping open magically.

"Am I supposed to open this lock in space?" was ironically the correct way to the solution!
So true !
But all you need is a pressure vacuum to open it :)
Tyler McGrath then there’s still gravity in a pressure vacuum
Grbović Andrej it’s not about gravity, it’s about lack of air
@Grbović Andrej Right but you can mimic 0 gravity with free fall I'm pretty sure.
May I mention how adorable and cute the little explosion effects are in each video? One of the small details I'd never want to disappear
Unfortunately I haven't seen it anymore in he more recent videos and I miss it lol.

technically if he is blocking a port to create a vacuum by pulling a plunger then he is blocking the intake, not the exhaust. if he was pushing the plunger to create pressure then the hole he would block would be the exhaust... ;-)
"Gravity is not a thing. Forcing, banging... SPINNING????"
I read your comment before that part of the video so I was really confused and when he said that I was laughing so hard. Thank you.
This part made me laugh so much
Its centrifugal force. But it is related to gravity
@@astonsuperreal centrifugal force is inertia, it can happen irrespective of gravity
No gravity, do not let it fall from a plane to see what inside
