BRO! This tutorial was the only one I could follow and it WORKED! If your still here and need 5€ I'll PayPal you, seriously 😅 I searched Soo much, I watched so many videos and tried for many hours, maybe Iam stupid, but it finally fking worked thanks to you
thank you. But now, how to make the secondary router wired or wireless clients have an ip address given by the main router DHCP? It is clear that the secondary router will have an IP address in the same subnet as the main router, and have access to the main router interface.
Does anyone know of a WISP + OpenWRT configuration where the router will auto-connect to the strongest AP without having to scan and choose a SSID (& BSSID)? Essentially allowing you to roam around a hotel and cruise ship..
Even phones and laptops can't do that but there has been some recent developments around something called Fast roaming, also known as IEEE 802.11r which is designed to do this so you could see if OpenWRT will add it or maybe certain Wi-Fi chips are needed. At the moment current devices only roam when they completely lose signal from an AP which is not ideal because there can be another AP with really strong signal and it will still not switch to it.
There is a option in Join network settings page during setup - Replace wifi settings..If this unchecked wifi will not be off. But I recommend this should be checked bcoz it problem in master wifi while ap client setup in many devices.

There is this github.com/jordi-pujol/wwanHotspot
but instead of connecting to the strongest ap, it just chooses randomly one of the available ap's
@@adil9432 thanks for that.
