It was nice to see Peter go from Iron Boy Jr. To the Spider-Man from the comics we all know and love, especially that comic accurate suit he stitched together in his new apartment
What makes this movie better is in recent interviews the actors playing Spider-Man saved this movie. Tom demanded the original ending be switched and Tobey and Andrew wanted the writers to make Tom to have the best moments and not have their Spider-Men overshadow Tom.
Lessons Pete learned in the MCU movies: Homecoming: Being a Hero isn't based on how "professional" you are, it's about your deeds and actions. Far From Home: Trust in yourself and trust the faith your friends have in you. No Way Home: With great power, there must also come great responsibility.
Funny, I dint think Spiderman's MCU appearances where because he had to learn a lesson? Hulks lessons learned? Ironmans lessons learned?? Dr. Strage lessons learned??? Regardless no way home was a good movie, but if the movie is based on only one single character then he better of learned a lesson, only makes him more human.
@@mindandbodymuscle5345 I don't think you know how movies work, and all of those characters definitely have character arcs/learn lessons because, they have to?
@@mindandbodymuscle5345 While admittedly Hulk's character arc is shaky, especially in his only solo outing in the MCU, the same can't be said of Iron Man and Strange. They both literally learn lessons throughout their movies. From Tony becoming less selfish, less destructive, and less dependant on his armor throughout just his solo movies. To Strange learning to give up control and not see everything as revolving around himself. Virtually every character in the MCU learns a lesson about themselves and others in their solo and group outings. The same is true of Spidey. If you missed all the lessons they learned maybe you should rewatch things with fresh eyes.
It's just occurred to me. Maybe now we can see Peter talking to himself like he does in the comics. Now that he doesn't have Ned or MJ or an AI to talk to, maybe he'll start doing this in the films.
I also liked how they made MJ's wound the "turning point" where Peter realizes that, even though they won't admit it, MJ and Ned will always be in danger as long as he is in their life. He went to the coffee shop with full intent to make them remember, but hearing that MJ got really hurt from the fight and she kept it from him back then made him realize this. Such a nice detail that makes the audience realize why Peter choose to stay away from them.
Still doesn’t make what he did nothing less than a monumental betrayal of their trust in him and a completely immoral decision he had no right to make for them
That final swing of no way home is basically one of the most tragic, yet uplifting endings I have ever seen. There's nobody to remember who he is, he has no friends, literally no loved ones. Yet....he swings out, in a suit he made with his resources-no super high tech armours anymore. But this time, we can feel the weight of his swing. It feels like a both gift and a curse. This....is spider-man.
The ONE piece of tech they should keep is the technology eyes. Say he upgraded them between movies; I just think it works to help him emote with the mask.
It's so sad to see Peter Parker trying to save and rehabilitate these "strangers" or people he has no connection to, only to have him go on a journey where he loses his Aunt, and the entire world at the end (The spell) because of his sense of responsibility. That's peak Spider-Man right there. One of the best Spider-Man films ever made too!
Same, this was one of the most admirable things about the movie for me, it baffles me how some people I saw on here and twitter say that peter trying to save the villains made them walk out of the theater in frustration when that same aspect is what they’ve been begging for mcu spidey to have, this home trilogy is making me more hype for the next 3 movies and I hope we get to see tom holland in avengers secret invasion too💯
@@Pheelleep It's a silly plothole. If they got beamed in the moment before they died. When they go back it will be before the moment they died again. No matter if he cures them, they can't live a life again because it'll be right back to the moment they died.
Honestly, a lot of fiction fanbases in a nutshell, especially of all of Brandon Sanderson books where it's literally a meme that all of his characters are depressed or have major mental issues.
@@jellymatsuryuka6853 It’s more about having a Spider-Man film with some actually emotional or physical consequences, no way home is the only one that really had any. Or have a Peter that isn’t so connected to Iron man for emotional arcs or villains (I didn’t mind it) but I see the criticism

Not just the fact that they adapted One More Day to not be awful. They took Spider-Man's greatest weakness in cinema, the meme that he's been rebooted so much and managed to make one of the very best Spider-Man movies ever.
They did not adapt One More Day. They adapted One Moment In Time. This is not a fix because there wasn't anything wrong with Spiderman. It was a perfect amalgamation of Ultimate Spiderman and Spiderman pre - Big Time. I just don't think there's anything wrong with spider man in the previous mcu films, it's different, and I LOVE it. 10:01 There is an interview back in 2017, when homecoming came out. The interviewer asked Jon Watts about why they made this version so young, and Jon Watts went deeper on the answer. He said that the weight and responsibility of being Spider-Man is an important Part of the character, which is why he didn't want to use it that early in the story, and he wanted to start from a place of enthusiasm where things are easier for peter. So yeah, the reason why homecoming and FFH lack the emotional weight is because Jon Watts chose to save the power and responsibility theme for the third movie. It's true that most of the things in NWH were not planned from the beginning, but that doesn't mean that they didn't understand the character throughout the previous movies.
Exactly. Even if the film had been a kraven story or something it would still have been possible to make it the serious film about him learning how the costs of being spiderman really effect things.

The most refreshing thing is that the film didn't cut down both Tobey and Andrew Spider-Man just to elevate Tom Holland like what we seen for the past few years with all the other beloved heroes. Instead the film portrayed the two who helped elevate the other to endure, grow and become better than he was before.
They also had their arcs completed from their own respective movies. I swear to god, I was squeling everytime I see them feel complete after they achieve what they couldn't before.
This film built on the themes of the first two MCU Spider-Man films while also paving way for a fresh take that felt believable. They introduced classic Spider-Man themes while also staying true to their overall take on the MCU iteration. It really positions the Home trilogy as an extended origin for Holland’s Spider-Man, and I am very interested to see where he goes. I loved that the ending shows Peter still eagerly willing to be a hero even after losing everything. That’s the essence of Spider-Man: be a hero even when times are hard not just when they’re easy. I have so much anticipation for the next trilogy.

Best thing about NWH is how much it made me care about Tom’s Spidey more than before in a movie where all elements that should have taken all my attention away from him exist. You got the OGs coming back and everything and yet, I came out feeling Tom was one of the highlights as he should, it’s HIS movie after all. It was a great achievement suffice to say and I look forward to more of him in the future
I think THE most important thing that goes very underplayed, is when He finds out the other Peter's don't have an avengers. Its just them being spiderman protecting new york. I like to think that this is what inspires him to go it alone. Its no coincidence that his new suit, with no stark tech included, is directly inspired by their suits (andrews bright colors and Tobey's style spider logo) while still being himself with that unique MCU spider mask. He's not using the saftey net of other heroes anymore. He's being the one and the only Spider-Man
@@davidakin3840 Why? The only "Stark tech" he has in his final NWH suit are the moving eye lenses. Which are fine. But the AI, the web wings, the web-shooters with 576 combinations, the 3D suit printing machine... it's best to leave those behind.
@loganbigmo bro Peter with tech is goateed and ur mixing them up tom doesn’t have a 3d printer in his web shooters that’s insomniac and I actually agree how the hell does insomniac have 3d printers in his web shooters Spider-Man is not Lego man that was a trash idea. But otherwise toms gadgets are Spider-Man through and through bro web wings are really cool to watch and can make swinging scenes so goood he kept his nwh suit so all he needs to do is see some new fabric on it. Also he still has the same web shooters so he should stull have web bombs and different types of webs because tbh it didn’t make sense how Andrew controlled which web type he is useing tobey made sense because it was actullly like controlling it with ur mind since it’s part of him. Also I agree he should get rid of any talking ai but he should still have analyzers and stuff in the suit
The ending is literal perfection. I love the shitty apartment, the knitting of the new suit, the remembrance of Aunt May, the coffee house scene, the final swing. It was a melancholic punctuation to Tom Holland's Home trilogy and I am so glad that the appearances of Tobey and Andrew didn't overshadow that banger of an ending.
I am so glad Tom decided to intervene and fight to change the ending because the original ending they had in plan would've hace actually ruined everything about this movie. Hope Tom would keep being involved on the creative process in his next trilogy.

The suit in the end represents everything NWH did perfectly to fix MCU Spider-Man imo. By embracing all what came before from the different iterations; comics, movies, shows etc... they finally gave us the classic Spider-Man we know and love who values responsibility, wears a cloth non- fancy suit and leads a shitty life where he worries about rent.
I'm glad people are a little less divided on this Peter, but thinking about recently: I kind of want a Peter that isn't financially struggling. Maybe we get Parker industries like some of the comics do, that would certainly work well in the films since he was set up as the tony stark successor anyways.
@@parkerboy795 Yeah, I would like it if his current state isn't the new constant situation he lives in, but a new problem that he has to overcome in his next trilogy. Although if they do make this the new status quo, I wouldn't mind it as long as they do it well and not too intrusively.
The movie had that little magic that’s been missing from most if not all Marvel movies. That sense of hopelessness, yet hopeful of the future. That small message of “it’s okay to fall down, as long as you get back up and keep at it”. I loved this movie. I’ve been critical of this version of spiderman since the first movie he appeared in, but this, bringing him back to this responsible kid trying his best in a world that doesn’t give a shit about him except when it’s convenient was just amazing. I’m really happy, and sad, about the film. I hope more MCU films take a more artistic approach from now, take more risks. Because this was just frankly beautiful.
I don't think that message works for all marvel character so I don't think all the movies need it. That said it is a very spiderman message so glad it's present in a spiderman movie.
I think whatever happened to Ben before he gets contacted by Tony Stark, pushed Tom's Peter to use his powers not because what happened to Ben was his fault, but because he hesitated to use this power because he was scared to use it. I think this theory fits because of what Peter told Tony in his Civil War recruitment.
I think they were trying to convey the "great power great responsibility" lesson to MCU Spidey in two different contexts or levels. The first ( hypothetically from Ben) being the thing about his responsibility of using his power to make his neighborhood better which sets him off to start his hero journey... and the second (from May) talking about the deeper level of responsibility that actually comes with being a hero, thus making him realize that his responsibility is not only about using his power to help others, but also making tough choices and sacrifices especially when he makes a mistake. That being said, if they go this route, it's very likely that the Freshman Year animated series will feature Ben's lecture to Peter about power and responsibility.
"No Way Home could've actually worked without the Spider-Men" is a quote that perfectly describes why I love this movie so much. For the hour or so before they even show up, I was still so invested in the story being told and all the characters that it wouldn't have even mattered if they weren't in it after all. Their appearance added so much though that was also just so incredible, but didn't overdo it or overshadow Tom in any way. It was the most difficult balancing act in recent film, but Watts and co pulled it off amazingly! I can't wait to see where MCU Spidey goes next. I was already on-board but now I'm completely unable to get off.
As someone who always been critical (for better and worst) of this iteration of Spider-Man, but i have to say introducing the multiverse and seeing that Tobey and Andrew exist in this multiverse allowed me to gain a better (not understanding) appreciation for what they were trying to do with this spiderman. I no longer have to see him in the light of being spider prime, i can look at him as an else world story
@@Soniman001 ??? Cope for what? Things that I really didnt like previously, that wouldn't usually occur in spiderman related things, can now be explained due to the fact that there is an established multiverse. I no longer have to compare him or examine the strange and different routes this Spiderman takes, because there is an infinite number of them now, that can all have drastic differences from what we are used to with spiderman. Its literally the same with the comics.
@@garywebb2432 Aside from the vampire people, spider totems, and thread of destiny. How is it not the same? We now have a multiverse of spider people, all the main characters of their own stories, and all possibly drastically different from what is prime peter parker spiderman. And we can excuse those differences because they are from the multiverse, same with here. So what's the problem?
One (or two, really) major thing that I noticed about No Way Home is that its moral message is an amalgamation of both Aunt May's speech to Peter in SM2 and Gwen's graduation speech in TASM2. "I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride. Even though sometimes we have to be steady and give up the things we want the most, even our dreams" "There will be days where you feel all alone. And that's when hope is needed most. No matter how buried it gets, or how lost you feel, you must promise me, that you will hold on to hope. Keep it alive. We have to be greater than what we suffered"
My favorite thing about NWH, is how its made me really like Tom Holland, Alfred Melina, Willem Dafoe, and Zendaya more as actors. After a mix of quality in marvel movies having that level of acting was really satisfying, and has me wanting to look at their other projects

I always knew Tom was a massive fan, but I didn't know he pushed for this ending. That makes me so happy. He gets it, and I'm glad they listened to him. As the certified only person that's liked MCU Spider-Man all the way through, this movie elevates the others and makes the trilogy as a whole feel like a natural progression for Peter's journey into becoming *our* friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
You're not alone, I liked all of this version's Spider-Man's movies too! How do you feel about Peter reaching out to Strange at some point, not to reverse the spell or anything but just to let him know what happened between the two? I would really like to see that in the future, maybe after a couple solo movies
@@OnchiBon I mean, it makes sense considering that Strange is the only real candidate of the surviving avengers to be some sort of leader. Oh shit people agree with me that's crazy. This is normally when I get death threats and get called a "fake fan" or whatever. Wait maybe I'm just thinking of Star Wars fans.
It's nice to see Spiderman vulnerable, being surrounded by the sinister six and not being able to protect Aunt May while facing the most powerful villians which Peter can't handle them physically.

What’s cool is that the next trilogy is rumored to be “less involved with the MCU” so that would mean there would be less Team-ups in his films and having the movie all to himself and the movie only being about Spider-man.
Honestly I wont ever get the dislike for the team-ups..that's half the fun of the MCU! We already had a trilogy and a duology of Spider-Man on his own, let's just have fun with this while it lasts because with Sony in the way..it wont last forever
@@buzzy4682 it's better that Spiderman stays as far as possible from the mcu, I'm not sure where they are going but the mediocre and OK movies won't do good for Spiderman, because these are the standards of the mcu which isn't something bad by the way.

People like to call this a three-part origin. I still maintain that Uncle Ben _definitely_ happened. This movie was just THIS Peter's version of The Night Gwen Stacy Died, where Peter had to learn a much more nuanced version of "With great power, there must also come great responsibility". I said this before, people will say what they will. I just know that I've seen the bad version of this movie. It's called Crisis on Infinite Earths. Tobey and Andrew actually have arcs and affect the plot. But the story is still focused on one thing: Making Peter into the Peter many wanted him to be. So yeah. I felt happy seeing all three Spider-Men on screen together like I was a kid, again. Sue me. One of the best Spider-Men movies.
While it definitely wasn't the literal plan from the beginning, I think Jon Watts had always planned the shift in tone. While Spider-Man's best stories are heavy and emotional, his early high school years in the 60s were very simple and sitcom-esque like these films are. I love the way Jon Watts took inspiration from John Hughes to make the Home trilogy reminiscent of the fun of those early comics while teaching Peter the lessons he needs to learn for when he no longer has the "training wheels" of the tech. And after NWH, Watts has clearly pulled off the tonal transition from those fun high school years to the raw emotional Peter Parker stories (just like how those 60s comics changed) featuring the quintessential Spider-Man who uses those lessons to be the best independent hero he can be.
i like the movies, but idk i disagree a bit. I feel like the point of Ditko and Lee making such a young, independent superhero at a time where all teenage fictional characters were sidekicks at best was to enhance the story of growing up. i feel like the high school setting in the MCU movies were very weak and superficial, as if 30 year olds wrote what high school is like (they sucked in the other spiderman movies too but high school and youth wasnt that much of a focus in the other movies). Like there was not that much growing up if that makes sense. Spectacular Spider-Man did every element that home trilogy tried to do in the first 2 movies but way better Spiderman has never been a story about a boy becoming into a superhero, it was always a story about a boy growing into a man while he was also a superhero.
@@aryan7767 What parts of the highschool life felt off/not accurate? Most people I've seen has praised the Home trilogy for being pretty relatable and close to how teenagers feel in their highschool days
@@aryan7767 "Spider-Man has never been a story about a boy becoming into a superhero" is very close-minded. If we follow that guideline, we'd never have an "Into the Spiderverse" because the storyline is literally about a boy becoming into a superhero.
Tom Holland's Spider-Man started out to be the kid who had everything given to him, only to be the man who loses everything at the end. So excited to see the next MCU Spider-Man trilogy with a set of new writers, and a new director!
To me, it feels that in this current iteration of spider-man, instead of being a wrestler initially, he becomes a superhero because that's what is cool and popular nowadays, while back in the days of early spider-man wrstlers were cool and popular and rich, but in the MCU, it's the Tony Stark and the Avengers. It's after chasing the fame and excitment of being a superhero, that he loses a loved one (in the MCU, May, and it's then when he understands that with great power there must also come great responsibility.)
honestly? despite the fact that both of their Spider-Men had a cut sequel, I think this is a perfect ending for both of them, helping the new Spider-Man learn what it means to become Spider-Man
I agree with all of this... to a point. I'm not so sure I'm on board with the idea of keeping him on his own. I don't think he should be part of big teams like the Avengers outside of events like Infinity War and Endgame since the entire point of Parker is that he's down there on the ground most of the time, but a LOT of what defined classic Spidey as he got older was that he knew everyone. And I do mean EVERYONE. He knew the X-Men, he knew the Avengers, he knew the Fantastic Four, crossed paths with the likes of the Punisher, had regular team ups with Daredevil - at some point, if you lived in the Marvel universe and you were a hero or a villain you crossed paths with him to the point where bars that villains frequented had running pools on how long new guys would last against Spidey - in the famous words of one, "they never win". I don't think such team ups should be permanent, "they work together on every problem" type deals. But to isolate him entirely is a bad call in my book, especially now that he's learned these lessons and after another movie or two as he gets older, especially with the animated Freshman series. As he grew more experienced Parker started becoming something of a regular mentor to younger heroes, and while he's not there yet that's something I don't want to see lost. Steve Rogers might've been the soul of the Marvel universe, but Peter Parker has always been its heart - and to leave him so isolated and so disconnected from everyone else somewhat defeats the point of that as time goes on.
MCU spiderman was never broken if anything it proved my theory on his narrative being in the prestages of him making a transition into Spider-Man. Ever since homecoming people alot of people never really understood what this spiderman was about it made sense because he was a kid learning to be a hero with no responsibility until he had to learn responsibility. That was the point of his introduction ever since homecoming the "no way home" movie fully proved my theory that his immaturity was clearly intentional and that is what makes this spiderman a little bit better than the other two imo. We never really got to see Peter grow into Spider-Man unlike the other films this kid has the actual potential to be the best cinematic spiderman depending on how they handle him going forward imo.
I guess the only problem for others was that Peter was too childishand suddenly high pitched from Civil War, which in that movie Holland's voice was just right and he proved himself capable and strong despite not having any combat experience.
@@fatezero8662 I don't understand those people's logic at all childish? he's literally implied to be a teen in highschool no sh!t he's childish lol and people expected for this dude to know about responsibility and being spiderman right off the jump he was scared of heights in homecoming he was obviously pre spiderman he isn't ultimate Spider-Man he's MCU spiderman lol 😭
@@NMbones98 I think with hindsight it’s easy to see that, but without this movie people just saw Toms Spider-Man as way too dependent on others (looking at you, Stark). In my opinion this movie makes me appreciate the others in this trilogy, not because they were “broken” or “bad” or anything but because we now know it was really just an extended origin story. And now that peters on his own, his character will no longer rely on other characters wealth or power nearly as much. (Looking at you again, Stark)
Honestly, I don't really see this movie as the fixing of a broken character, but instead a long story of character development and maturity finally coming full circle.

As not a hardcore comic fan, I enjoyed Tony Stark being a mentor to Peter. I thought it was an interesting dynamic with him fanboying a lot, but now he carries on with both the knowledge his mentor gave him and the wisdom aunt may gave him, which I really like. We now have both a storyline with him kinda in the avengers and with tony stark as his mentor and are now getting the freelancer Spider-Man who hopefully shows up to save the day in some team up movie down the line while still remaining solo
The biggest ask I had for the movie, was that we'd finally see a Spidey who stands on his own two feet with confidence. Instead of being Iron Man's student, instead of being one of the avengers in training, instead of trying to do what his friends or aunt or avengers or Nick Fury or Tony would want him to do, but actually finding his own footing. The way he chose to start from square one, made his own suit for the first time at the end and went to carry on was that moment and I couldn't have been happier. Also the confidence that he had when telling Happy that whatever May did will carry on was exactly the type of confidence I was hoping for him to find. After all, all throughout this trilogy he always seemed to have a lot of hesitation. Hell, him going directly against Strange and doing HIS thing was a fantastic part of that too. Really loved the movie way more than I thought I even possibly could. So happily surprised!
I do hope he builds his own tech and suits as I said before without the resources of Stark Industries. The reason is because Peter has always been self-taught and independent to create his own gadgets and equipment with whatever he has to make sure he becomes a better Spider-Man. It would make sense going into his College trilogy and him wanting his profession to be in science is a perfect direction for him to take. Yes I do want his life to be a mess, I do want him depressed but I do hope one day he does rejoin the Avengers and reconnect with MJ and Ned one day, not because he wants to but because he feels obligated to do so for the greater good. I want him to be an Avenger if it’s his decision and it’s to the right thing while also fighting his own battles. MJ also had this look on her face when Peter leaves the coffee shop and it’s a clear indication that she will figure out who he is again and I like that. There’s also talk of Peter in his adult years will make his own company called "Parker Industries" like in the comics.I know that sounds a lot like him following in Tony’s footsteps but it would be perfect for him to leave behind a legacy as "Peter" instead of just what he leaves as Spider-Man. (This would be perfect if he they’re were to set up his death BTW.)
eeh, im not a fan of parker industries or stuff like that, its cool design wise but i felt like the stories were never that good but thats my opinion lookin forward to see how he reconnects with Ned and Mj
@@thisbubblygoodness7611 I think it could be good as a way of ending his run in the MCU. Sort of takes things full circle. Shouldn't be a thing until his last movie though imo.
Not really a fan of Parker industries, Peter for me is good is he build a family and work in something he like but just creating Parker industries make him not retable for the people and the stories didn't were the same when you can related with a guy with a "normal" life(I mean for some reason they didn't continue with this in the comics) but still I agree with the other points
Yeah I see all your points, but as a way to show Peter has grown and made something of his life instead of him just being Spider-Man. Plus it would be an interesting take to make him have a whole lot more responsibilities as Peter just as much, if not more then as Spider-Man. He wouldn’t be Tony Stark obviously but someone who doesn’t know what to do or how to run a company, especially when his life as Spider-Man and his personal life as Peter Parker comes into conflict.
@@daanyaalmohammed4300 a fair opinion! i suppose it all comes down to if the writers can actually pull off a good story with Parker Industries, anything is possible. i guess im just scared of them turning MCU spider-man into Disneyplus Marvel's Spider-man, you know that TV show? where Peter goes to this really fancy tech-school and everyone there is basically teenage super heroes and villains, or turning spider-man into sort of a mascot for a corporation rather then a friendly neighbourhood hero. but i have hope for MCU spider-man, there's so much they can do with him now
This video reminds me why I love Spider-Man as a character. Because he's relatable, he's loving, and even throughout all of the battles he's done along the way, he still makes the right choice most of the time. He's learnt from his past mistakes, to become the true Spider-Man. He pushed through his person problems and helps everyone in need. Peter Parker always reminds me to be a better person. To fight through my struggles, and still be able to help others. He helps everyone, due to the job he has committed to. Because with great power comes great responsibility. Thank you, Brown Table for making this magnum opus of a video.
I honestly think that was always more or less the plan, the first MCU movies on spiderman are a pretty faithful adaptations of the tone from the start of the comics, which doesn't really reflect how the character is most of the time, in the comics peter spent only about a year in high school, and during the beginning, his stories were kinda like a romcom, the bigger focus on responsibility only started when he entered adult life in college (and it was there that most of the iconic cast like Gwen, Harry, and MJ get introduced), people just forget about that since most adaptations fuse his more iconic traits and plots with his origin and high school, now that I see that my theory about them adapting the more romcom-like tone of the beginning of the comics before transitioning to the more down on his luck and responsible petter was actually right I can appreciate the initial take on peter by the MCU a lot more
“Whenever Peter Parker is sad, I am happy”, yes on paper, yes for movies (AKA the actual subject of the video), but it is such a problem in the comics and the idea of Spider-Man as a whole, because the character in the last decade or so is just him being kicked in the balls as soon as he gets back up, and have something taken from him each time. Especially bad since he's the old guard to characters like Miles and Gwen, but apparently still can't even retain his diplomas, let alone jobs and relationships! The "The True Spider-Man MUST be a dirt poor student, pining for a girl out of his reach" idea was spread by the movies, because they were basing themselves of Spider-Man's starting point, not his status quo. When Raimi's movie first came out, Peter had graduated from college for 30 years and had been married for 15 years of the character's 40 years existence! You made great points about Tobey's Peter bringing wisdom, but my favorite part with him isn't with the MCU Peter. It's him kindly telling Andrew Garfield's version that yes, he is in a relationship, that it's been difficult, but worth it in the end. Their responsibility isn't martyrdom, they are people and their life doesn't always take away, it can also give. The Peter Parker from Raimiverse even seems to have achieved the status quo his Classic counterpart had in the 2000's. Peter having his life torn appart do make for great one-off stories, as this movie masterfully demonstrate. I would also point to the PS4 game as an example. But those are, by design and contraint of their medium, forced to tell THE most dramatic moment of this character's life. Spider-Man is much more than his strength in adversity when his whole life is on fire. In fact, I'd even argue those are only the second best kind of stories Spider-Man has to offer. The truly best ones are about how he makes a difference in the life of ordinary peoples, the stories about the people who would be gone without him stopping petty crimes, and how humane his life mission is. In fact, I'd even say that while the "fixing" of Spider-Man in No Way Home was perfect to bring us to a familiar version of Spider-Man, Far From Home had a much better solution to fix the character OVERALL, not just in the movies. It solve the discrepancy of Peter being a peer to the genius of Reed Richards and Tony Stark, yet his only notable inventions are... a pair of bracers and sticky goo? Of having the respect of Captain America, being a brother to the Fantastic Four, but also being considered a creep who can only afford to repair his costume by hand? The story made a great point of Peter not ready to be "the next Iron Man" or even a next gen Avenger, but the idea of him being eligible was more coherent than the current mainstream status quo. "Sad Peter = Happy Readers" work for isolated stories like the movie, but it's such a reductive way to see Spider-Man. The #1 Most Popular character in Marvel's History (yes, really!) has more depth than that, and so much more to offer than just "let's make him miserable."
Personally, I think Jon Watt's trilogy has been the most faithful to the Lee-Ditko run for three main reasons: 1) Ben Parker wasn't a central figure for Spiderman's birth, rather his death was a catalyst for Spiderman to learn responsibility. He never said the "With Great Power.." line, it was a faceless yellow box. So it has nothing to do with who Ben was as a character, it could have been anyone else close to Peter and would have had the same effect on him. Hell, in the first annual Peter says he feels "partially responsible sometimes" for Uncle Ben's death. 2) The initial tone for the Lee-Ditko run was a carefree, comedic world throught out the high school years for Peter, it doesn't get serious and sad till "If This Be My Destiny" right as he enters college and ushers in the Lee-Romita run which syncs up perfectly with the college trilogy in the works for Tom Holland. 3) Actually Peter DID look up to a famous celebrity superhero growing up, Human Torch. He quoted him, was inspired by him just like Stark in the MCU. Until they became frenemies of course.
As a huge fan of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man who even had Homecoming as his favorite Marvel movie at one point, I agree that these changes needed to happen.

I’d say that my biggest fear going forward is that they’ll find a way to backtrack and ruin everything that Spider-Man has accomplished to be The O.G. Spider-Man from the comics, and all of this will kinda feel like the DCEU something that had great potential but was ruined by “interpretations” and ego, and poor planning. The dceu was always supposed to be a multiverse earth though, that's the difference, this is marvels long term universe. Snyder said multiple times the original plan was to reboot it after a few films. WB panicked and turned it into the dceu, he shouldn't have made his universe in the first place cause fans were desperate for a long term universe but it was always a multiverse earth. Also yeah I'm a bit worried cause all its going to take is for the MCU Spider-Man to be shoved into crossovers for the money which is what ruined his character in the first place.

The fact they treat themselves like brothers is awesome because once again in the comics remember when peter meets the other spiders they are all happy because he isn't alone anymore in this struggle between persona and person. He knows he ain't alone no more and well how many of us feel safe when we find people that understand us? Such a sweet ending.
I do hope that his solo films feel like solo films going forward but I also hope that the connected element of the MCU isn’t lost. I do hope he still gets involved with the avengers and still has cameos from relevant characters in his movies etc but obviously these shouldn’t overshadow the whole character. I think things like having him bring the symbiote to Reed Richards for help figuring out what it is or meeting up with daredevil briefly etc are fairly important aspects of keeping his MCU films connected but are also ways of still making them Peter stories.
@Alexander Capanov see in my opinion if things aren’t going to connect and team ups aren’t going to happen then there is no point in the character being in the MCU. The whole point of the MCU is that in a way it mirrors the comics where you would frequently have small cross overs and connective tissue in solo stories and then larger team up events. Obviously in comics it stems from a desire to get you to buy other comics which isn’t as important in the MCU though. I think NWH showed that a solo Spider-Man film can still have small cameos without hurting his solo story. I can totally see where people maybe thought the links were too much in homecoming and far from home but no way home balances it really well imo. I also sort of disagree with your point about the best MCU bits being more contained. Ironman 1 is good sure but 1. There wasn’t really much to link it too. 2. It wasn’t good because it was contained it was good because it was a well made film. A small cameo from Bruce Banner or something wouldn’t have ruined the film. Daredevil is a weird one because again it’s just well made content but it’s not really comparable to the rest of the MCU and for the longest time was more MCU adjacent than actual MCU. I would actually argue that some of the best parts of the MCU are the connected bits. Avengers 1, winter soldier, the whole infinity saga plot line etc. In fact I think the infinity saga plot line is a decent example of the connectivity being done very well with how the stones were spread out across all 3 phases of the MCU. I don’t think every Spider-Man movie needs to have him having a massive team up with loads of characters but I think having small moments or cameos that keep it connected are important. Things like having him swing past the Baxter building, name drop the hulk, ask the fantastic 4 for help analysing the Symbiote etc are ways that the MCU can play a small role in solo Spider-Man stories while ensuring they are still his stories.
@Alexander Capanov Consequences in Spider-Man: Homecoming Spider-Man losing the Stark internship due to putting everyone's life in danger on the ferry. Parker learning that he needs to take down Vulture because what he's doing is dangerous to the people of New York and not because he wants to impress or join the superhero's he looks up to. He also ruins his relationship with Liz after making the hard choice to do what's right over what's easy. Consequences in Spider-Man: Far From Home Parker giving up the power bestowed on him by hero's who came before due to feeling like a poor replacement for said hero's before realising the truth that being Spider-Man is enough. Mysterio, a man who can manipulate the truth (truth being the main theme Spider-Man: Far From Home), is literally a consequence for Peter's insecurities and it takes the ENTIRE MOVIE for him to overcome said consequences. If you think there are no consequences try watching them again and paying attention. Also Tony Stark has less than 10 minutes of screen time in the entire trilogy.

I disagree respectfully I don’t think he was broken but he had little problems such as the stark tech and many mentors or people around him such as happy, Tony, fury. As well as aunt may In ffh really wasn’t bothered with her nephew risking her life and being Spider-Man and many people really didn’t bond with her character despite her being in multiple mcu films. Look I understand it’s the mcu so of course people like Tony and other figures are going to interact with Peter. But the thing people had a problem with is the amount of stark tech as well as not creating something of his own with Tony being there. The vulture and mysterio all had problems with Tony or the avengers not really Peter, and only saw him as an obstacle in their way. The drones that mysterio used was all Tony stark technology. Look toms peter was good but he always had people around him and for many others including me he didn’t feel like the SPIDER-MAN we know he can be which therefore comes the complaints about the iteration and the movies. It’s cool if you think that him becoming Spider-Man was planned from the start but they took SPECIFICALLY what many fans had problems with from toms Spider-Man and fixed it greatly and him becoming the Spider-Man we know he can be.
@@slashbash6486 1. I don’t understand the criticism about Stark’s involvement with various MCU stories considering he’s literally the focal point of the MCU. He’s the first “superhero” of that universe (Cap doesn’t count since he was part of the military and was frozen for the most of the time). Almost every big Avengers’ villain has something to do with Tony or knows of him. The star of the MCU is Ironman. 2.) Almost none of Spider-Man’s villains in the movies were personal to him. In Spider-Man 1, Green Goblin wanted to take revenge on the Oscorp directors for firing him and the rival companies for taking his contracts. Spider-Man got in his way at the festival and they became enemies from there. In Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man becomes Doc Ock’s enemy after he shut down the fusion machine against Doc’s wishes. Spider-Man 3 Sandman was just trying to get money for his daughter and Spider-Man kept stopping him. The only villain who had a personal problem with Peter was Eddie/Venom. In the TASM series Dr. Connors didn’t have personal beef with Peter. And in TASM 2, Electro and Green Goblin had personal beefs with Peter. 3. Peter literally creates his webshooters and the goggles that allow him to focus his senses by himself. Again, Tony Stark was a prominent figure in that universe so why wouldn’t someone close to him be using his tech? It’s kinda like complaining about Arkham Asylum using WayneTech-Bruce Wayne’s the biggest tech manufacturer in the city, of course they’d use his stuff. But as for the mentors, I’m pretty sure they drew inspiration from the Ultimate comics where Peter interacts with a bunch of other big time heroes who serve as mentor figures. Who Spider-Man interacts with and in what capacity doesn’t determine how “Spider-Man” he is.
@@kenny6643 I understand your point about Tony since he’s the main figure within the mcu, and many of avengers problems stems with Tony, like civil war and age of ultron. What many people don’t like or understand is why Tony has to revolve around what is suppose to be SPIDER-MANs villains, examples such as mysterio and vulture, and why even though in homecoming he shows he doesn’t need stark tech or he’s “nothing without the suit” still uses stark tech as well as things Tony gave him like Edith for example before he gave it to mysterio . What many people want is a Spider-Man which doesn’t have stark tech or Tony revolving around him in some way shape or form since it’s a Spider-Man movie. Personally I don’t necessarily hate his involvement but for Spider-Man it’s about becoming his own hero in which he does in homecoming but it’s the thing such as stark tech, or being in Tony’s shadow as the next iron man are the main issues people have with this iteration in which they specifically fixed in nwh
@@kenny6643 there’s no problem with Spider-Man having mentors, but it’s a bit too much with all the stark tech suits he gets every movie is one of the little problems people have with toms Spider-Man. I’m not saying he’s bad but he’s not perfect
@@slashbash6486 but Stark’s involvement is irrelevant to who Spider-Man is as a character in the movies. Sure he wants to be a big hero like Tony, but Tony isn’t what inspired him to become a hero. The same goes with the villains-it really doesn’t matter if their motivations are related to Stark because now they’re Spider-Man’s problem since Peter decided to try and stop them just like with other versions of the character. In Spectacular Spider-Man, many of the villains were going after other targets until Spider-Man interfered and stop them. The first episode has Vulture going after Norman for stealing his tech and Spider-Man stopping him. And that’s ultimately my point, why be so hung up about the villains’ motivations and how they became Spider-Man’s rogues when iterations like Spectacular (who’s been praises for its depictions of the villains) don’t get hate?
I really love the movie, like I knew in some part everyone would forget he was spider-man but not that everyone would forget everything about Peter parker , like he literally has no family, no friends, they didn't even give him a diploma. @@Cpk86 Bro its only my opinion if you don't like it its okay. 1-Is good fanservice even if they show the other spider-man this was to develop the Tom spider-man to. Make the ultimate sacriface. 2-Bro spider-man is one of the smart people in marvel and they didn't even want to kill each other, but its 9kat if you didn't like this. 3-Its not about getting to MIT because in the end is just to cure the villains, the MIT part fucked up in the end because Peter is gonna have go to other college. 4- The pacimg of this movie I didn't like it in the beggining, after the Bridge the movie goes good to me. 5-They point of curing the villains was 2: 1-the message spider-man is one of the heroes that put others before himself(it was actually pretty much cool to instead of seeing all the villains of Tobey dying like in his trilogy except for sand man ) , and 2- we don't actually see if they gonna die they pretty much created a other time lines. And my final point obviously the movie isn not perfect at all there are plot holes and things they never answer: When the lizard ask if he die they don't answer that, Electro didn't even knew Peter was spider-man but he teleported anyway, we never see dying sand Man and lizard(They even show sand man helping spider-man in the beggining), in the end is you just go by logic the movies are not perfect and that is okay for me, If doctor strange caused a festival to be erased with the spell , it could also make thanos forget his purpose or erase events that harm the world. In the end I like NWH for the Ultimate sacrifice that represent all the good about spider-man they put others before himself, even the spider-man of Tobey and andrew even fail to there villains(except lizard and sand man), NWH is about second chances for me, Tom prove he really is spider-man after making the ultimate sacriface, Andrew save MJ when he could not save Gwen, Tobey finally help in cure one of his villains bro in his trilogy all his villains die except sand man, The Aunt May of Tom that didn't do much in the movies before finally did help in this movie even if she die she always believe she did the right thing if you don't like the movies I respect your opinion, but I still like the movie I know is not perfect but still I liked for what it represent "Spider-man is a Heroe that put others before himself" thar represent spider-man . And don't try to find logic in everything let me explain with that logic in spider-man 2(one of the best if not the best of spider-man) Otto should not last against spider-man because he was a normal human he just have the arms but with one punch of spider-man he should be KO. But like I say I still like the movie but I respect your opinion if you didn't like it because its not perfect

For me personally it was never an option to complain about the MCU Peter not having big stakes in his solo movies. The focus was strongly on him being just a kid and not knowing what to do in a world filled with superheroes. To me it was always clear that we're watching him grow up over the course of more than just one origin movie and I didn't have any doubt that we'd get a satisfying "start" to his real journey as a full Spider-Man (and this was even confirmed by John Watts back in 2017). I never expected No way home to be the way it is though and I absolutely love it. I'm honestly still in shock. I don't think it was planned right from the beginning but it worked out beautifully. Can't wait to see more of this Spider-Man now!
John watts never said that, and the focus doesn't matter if it isn't what Spider-Man or Peter Parker is supposed to be. Please stop shilling for the mcu and see the flaws
What I love about the ending is that he has become the PS4-PS5 Spider-Man he’s broke makes life changing sacrifices and learns from them and now he’s become somewhat of a leader and maybe like the ps Spider-Man he will mentor Miles when he comes.
First thing I said when I went into the theater was “I need to see Toms Peter get absolutely pissed off” and thankfully they went that route and handled it well. Peter’s anger is a bit part of his character ironically. As good of a guy he is he constantly struggled with his anger in the comics
Overall, I do think they planned that the home trilogy was ment to be his origin, even if a lot of the stuff in it wasn't, like him having everyone forgetting him for example

This is exactly what Spiderman does. Reading the Astonishing comics, he was always trying to help/save or rescue his villains. Being Spiderman was the highlight of his mundane Peter Parker days. Which is why he spends So much time as Spiderman. I'm just glad that we'll get 3 more grounded Spiderman movies with Tom growing up and not surrounded by superheroes.. sure, he'd swing by Dr Strange or holla at The Human Torch, but essentially, Spiderman is a lone wolf and I for one can't wait to see another Actual version of the Shocker and an introduction to Miles Morales by the 5th movie.
MCU Spider-Man didn't need to be fixed. Not every Peter Parker has to have the same cookie cutter story, and even then, it still was basically the same story just with a few minor tweaks to make it fit into the MCU and Tony Stark's story better.
I usually don't comment on YT videos or like them, but I did both on this one. Honestly, I don't like using or hearing/seeing the term "fixed" for MCU's Spidey. That being said, I honestly think you put into words what I could not. I agree with you on pretty much every single point. You didn't use the term "fixed" in the same way that everyone else does with this movie. I LOVED the ending to this movie for the EXACT reasons you stated here! This is a GREAT video and I cannot wait to see what happens next with MCU Spidey!
Homecoming: Finding his *IDENTITY* as Spider-Man and not as Tony's protegé Far From Home: Taking *RESPONSIBILITY* for his actions and resolving it on his own without his idols No Way Home: Learns that in being Spider-Man, he can't save everyone and *SACRIFICES* must be made Sacrifice and Responsibility make up the Identity of Spider-Man.
I’m hoping that the eyes of the suit going forward retain the expressive camera shutter inspired lens. Have it be like the PS4 game where it’s implied that most of his money is being spent on stuff to upgrade his suit and have all the suit’s functions work off a smartphone app he made.
@Toad Is Forgotten yes it was lol. Clearly you don’t know the phrase character development. Plus John Watts said multiple times he wanted to start off with a light-hearted movie then bring in all the responsibility
I like that as if he was Spider-Man off the bat in the first movie, he would be to perfect in my eyes. This Spider-Man feels much more like the comics where grown into becoming the hero we know and love
I also got the impression that some inspiration was drawn from the PS4 game in which Peter has to make a gut wrenching choice, though in this case it wasn't as a result of his choice that Aunt May died. Another possible reference to the game is her signature line "When You Help Someone, You Help Everyone" appearing on the headstone.
As someone who's been very critical of the MCU version of Spider-Man it is so heartwarming to know that they address everyone's complaint about this interpretation but also gave us a fun little spider verse movie. I can die happy knowing I got the Spider-Man movie I always wanted.
They didn’t address anything this was always the plan the home trilogy was a origin story. Now Peter is officially a man no longer a kid, he will most likely mentor miles morales in the 2nd movie of the trilogy
@@zavthe1371 like I said in my video,if this was the plan it was poorly executed so they made a course correction just like marvel has done in some of their movies (Thor Ragnarok and shangshi comes to mind) Just accept that marvel sometimes makes mistakes.
@@MrDegenerate28 Nah it was definitely planned, every end of Spidey MCU's film showed tidbits of how he relies on his own and No Way Home was the main course. The way how optimismic was Homecoming and how Far From Home was fun but gave Spidey psychological attack made it obvious how heavy the 3rd will be. I have no idea what's wrong with you Spidey fans, but Home Coming and Far From Home were really good films it did a different direction where it felt fresh and still remain faithful to Spiderman. You impatient fans just keep yapping about how he's not poor enough, how he has little problems and how he relies on Stark and have Stark's enemies against him, when in reality it's consistent with the arc he was introduced in Civil War. I love how right at the end of the movie where he goes to the coffee shop as spiderman but leaves as peter parker, the framing changes from superhero widescreen to the dynamic black bars that remove about 20% of the screen and it makes the movie look like a korean drama which just fit the coffee shop so perfectly
I wouldn’t say it ‘fixed’ him as is don’t think it was broken in the first place, but it more delves into the core of Spider-Man and what it means to be a hero. Peter always had support from the people around him when he was Spider-Man, he had 2 mentors that he could talk to and looked out for him. I think in this movie it showed what happens to peter when all his mentors are stripped away and it’s his fault. Like he lost his first mentor in endgame, but it wasn’t his fault. In this movie it is his fault and he has to deal with it. I like that now he has to stand in his own the whole time, but we got to see that the guy lessons he learned and the love he received from his mentors have shaped him and allowed him to be the man he is at the end. Not gonna pretend like this was the plan. It wasn’t but I’m happy the went this route
What movie 🎥 Ever really goes as planned. You have Covid and test audience, but Marvel Usually have it mapped out and goes accordingly with minor Tweaks
It fixed him. They were good movies, but the mcu did a number on Peter Parker and Spider-Man. If you think it wasn't broken, then you don't know the first thing about being Spider-Man
Jon watts has actually said multiple times that this is the vision he had for the character waaaay back when homecoming 1st released. Obviously not this exact vision (as in tobey andrew and the old villians), but when homecoming released, he claimed he wanted this trilogy to be a coming of age story for peter parker. I can't remember the exact video, but there is a YT vid called "Jon watts understands spider man" that includes it
Except that's been done before and this wasn't it. He clearly learned from his mistakes and fixed all of the issues he created, it's obvious considering Tom holland had to get them to make it end this way.
I teared up when watching this movie. So many emotions. This video made me tear up again. It’s a beautiful but melancholy ending. I think I’m my life rn I’m going through melancholy emotions and this movie really resonates with me. Thanks for the upload.
really felt like the older spidermen guided him and shown him the way. tom spidey had to give up a lot to protect the ones he loved. true classic spiderman
I never felt there was anything that needed fixing. The character was always developing and learning. And in my opinion he always felt more like a real person as opposed to a comic book character like the previous 2 did. And before anybody starts yelling at me for that bit, I love Tobie McGuire as Spider-Man. But both previous versions of Spider-Man felt more like a movie of a comic book character instead of that character living their life as a story unfolds if that makes any sense. Holland just felt more real when he showed panic, fear, grief, rage, or even joy, excitement, and and happiness. But that's just me. Everyone can their own opinion and like a different version of the character.
I feel like Tom’s Spiderman story will be more interesting than the previous 2, I mean considering that he’s all alone now and has no one, the previous 2 didn’t go through that, having everyone basically not remember who you are.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm glad to hear there is a part of the fanbase this is really serving. To me, personally, I left the theatre literally depressed. They took everything bad about the Sony movies and brought it into this film, essentially corrupting the light, colorful, fun, exciting, "Avengers-y" as you put it, new version of the property, and then by the end erasing all those light, innocent, fun, colorful MCU aspects out of it. Felt to me like, basically, Sony was rewriting Spider-man to undo all the positive changes the MCU had made, so that Spider-man could be their unsettlingly, needlessly dark, gritty, brooding, traumatized, broken character they wanted him to be. I loved the nanotech suit. I loved him calling Dr. Strange "sir" and then calling him "Stephen" and it feeling weird - that awkward relationship remaining awkward but remaining a relationship between two very different heroes. I loved his weird relationship with Happy Hogan. I loved his yellow school jacket and MJ's funky style. I loved the dynamic between Peter, MJ, and Ned. But, hey. We all have different tastes. I'm looking forward to whatever Marvel has cooked up for us next, and looking forward to continuing to ignore all the Sony films which, time and time again, have not worked the magic that the MCU has. A shame we won't be seeing Spider-man in the MCU films anymore, if I'm understanding correctly...
Preachin’ literally hate the ending to NWH took away everything I liked about this version of the character, both Far From Home (My favourite of his trilogy) and Homecoming felt fresh and original taking him in a new direction whereas I now feel like his stuck in a stale rut, it’s the same in the comics whenever the character starts to learn or grow up even a little executive fiat forces him to regress usually with crappy nonsense like the Clone Saga or One More Day. I wanted to see him as a public Spider Man navigating MIT with Ned and MJ, while still around for the big stuff. My favourite of his suits is the Iron Spider, I which we’d gotten more screen time with him and Stark and that ending just leaves me completely unenthused for the stale old ground they’re treading. Given Holland’s comments then the second trilogy may be his last and his own desire to work with Zendaya and Jacob makes me hopeful they’ll be back hopefully at the end of the next one after someone calls him out for betraying them at the end.
One of the greatest scenes in the series is when the McGuire Spiderman stops the train. His costume is shredded and his face is clearly visible. And the passengers gently pull him into the car, and someone says, in awe, "He's just a kid!" Touching, effective and, somehow, real.
I'm going to be honest. I always liked MCU Spider-Man from the beginning. I love Spider-Man Homecoming and I like Far From Home. And No Way Home is arguably the best live action Spidey film. Hopefully moving forward the Spidey Fandom can unite and not be toxic anymore. It really sucks to see the fandom be so toxic but honestly this film really addressed all the issues and criticism people had on the MCU version. Hopefully people can see that all 3 Spider-Men are all great and at its core represent what it means to be Peter Parker/Spider-Man. By the way really great video. I really enjoyed the video.
I've always related to Peter on a deep level, all the way to the characters Jewish roots in comics and how that's influenced his personality, but No Way Home's ending hit on a new level. Having moved around a lot, constantly resetting and going to place where nobody knows who I am, but all my baggage and trauma slumbers on my shoulders yet you still gotta put on that mask and try to be a good person, the best one you can be despite all the shit the world tries to throw at you. Thats Spiderman to me. The always picking yourself back up, not giving into the rage and evil the world so desperately attacks you with, and even after making the biggest sacrifice again and again he keeps on swinging
Peter must be depressed, thereby making him relatable, also thereby making him a true Spider-Man that embodies the everyman caricature in fiction as envisioned by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko
I love how the original goal was the keep his loved ones knowing of his identity while every one else doesn’t, yet the movie ended with him not even having his loved ones in his life
With all the rumours that was coming out, I predicted that no way home would be a movie about how Tom Spiderman was going to be put in a very bad spot and in the end becomes his own Spiderman (since so far, Tom Spiderman has been a wannabe ironman in all seriousness. He looked up to and wanted to be like Tony) and that the other Peter Parker's would show him what the true meaning of Spiderman is. I wasn't far off. I would never have thought aunt may would have died or that Tom Peter Parker would have been erased from existence and I got to say, I loved it
The fact that this whole trilogy was an ongoing origin story impressed me a lot.I love this movie because Peter finally felt and saw the ramifications of his decisions regardless of his friends backing him up and learned from alternate versions of himself on how to become the better person.Him sacrificing his happiness for the safety of others he cared showed the level of self sacrifice I was looking for in this trilogy.

Lessons Pete learned in the MCU movies:
Homecoming: Being a Hero isn't based on how "professional" you are, it's about your deeds and actions.
Far From Home: Trust in yourself and trust the faith your friends have in you.
No Way Home: With great power, there must also come great responsibility.

He went to the coffee shop with full intent to make them remember, but hearing that MJ got really hurt from the fight and she kept it from him back then made him realize this. It's so sad to see Peter Parker trying to save and rehabilitate these "strangers" or people he has no connection to, only to have him go on a journey where he loses his Aunt, and the entire world at the end (The spell) because of his sense of responsibility.

@loganbigmo oops yeah he shouldn’t have a 3d suit printing machine
The ending is literal perfection. I love the shitty apartment, the knitting of the new suit, the remembrance of Aunt May, the coffee house scene, the final swing. It was a melancholic punctuation to Tom Holland's Home trilogy and I am so glad that the appearances of Tobey and Andrew didn't overshadow that banger of an ending.
I am so glad Tom decided to intervene and fight to change the ending because the original ending they had in plan would've hace actually ruined everything about this movie. Hope Tom would keep being involved on the creative process in his next trilogy.

Even though sometimes we have to be steady and give up the things we want the most, even our dreams"
"There will be days where you feel all alone. And that's when hope is needed most. No matter how buried it gets, or how lost you feel, you must promise me, that you will hold on to hope. Keep it alive. We have to be greater than what we suffered"

Spectacular Spider-Man did every element that home trilogy tried to do in the first 2 movies but way better

It didn’t feel real seeing Tobey, Andrew, and Tom all together. I hope Andrew and Tobey get another of their own spider man movie.

despite the fact that both of their Spider-Men had a cut sequel, I think this is a perfect ending for both of them, helping the new Spider-Man learn what it means to become Spider-Man
I have to watch it again man, I felt overwhelmed too much that I wasn't able to process what I watched. It was too good
I agree with all of this...
Don't worry I'm sure they wont isolate him,,he'll for sure pop up in other movies... Disney/Marvel would be dumb to not do that
MCU spiderman was never broken if anything it proved my theory on his narrative being in the prestages of him making a transition into Spider-Man.

And now that peters on his own, his character will no longer rely on other characters wealth or power nearly as much. (Looking at you again, Stark)

I honestly think that was always more or less the plan, the first MCU movies on spiderman are a pretty faithful adaptations of the tone from the start of the comics, which doesn't really reflect how the character is most of the time, in the comics peter spent only about a year in high school, and during the beginning, his stories were kinda like a romcom, the bigger focus on responsibility only started when he entered adult life in college (and it was there that most of the iconic cast like Gwen, Harry, and MJ get introduced),
people just forget about that since most adaptations fuse his more iconic traits and plots with his origin and high school, now that I see that my theory about them adapting the more romcom-like tone of the beginning of the comics before transitioning to the more down on his luck and responsible petter was actually right I can appreciate the initial take on peter by the MCU a lot more
spider man fans logic “suffering and sadness=good spider man”
“Whenever Peter Parker is sad, I am happy”, yes on paper, yes for movies (AKA the actual subject of the video), but it is such a problem in the comics and the idea of Spider-Man as a whole, because the character in the last decade or so is just him being kicked in the balls as soon as he gets back up, and have something taken from him each time.
Personally, I think Jon Watt's trilogy has been the most faithful to the Lee-Ditko run for three main reasons:
1) Ben Parker wasn't a central figure for Spiderman's birth, rather his death was a catalyst for Spiderman to learn responsibility.

I will say that for the first time since Tom has been Spider-Man, I’m actually excited about his next film as the character. Let’s hope they keep it up.
@Alexander Capanov I mean at the beggining at least make sense everyone before civil war and HC Dream to see spider-man with other heroes and when we did had that it was cool but they compromise a lottt the character of stark like example in FFH Mysterio end up being a guy that start his crusade as villain for stark like the movie didn't even was going for that part and they did it and that was not necesary Mysterio was a good villain without having to had the connection
@@luke8290 I mean the DCEU even is is suppose to be a multiverse, still have fail in make one main universe of stories in my opinion or maintain good stories like look the first suicide squad, birth of pray, the first justice league, Wonder woman 84. Like I understand what you are saying but I mean the multiverse part we haven't see it yet(Well if joker and the batman count) all I say it could have being better. And about the Marvel part spider-man is one of the heroes that make more team ups in marvel like is okay that he is alone from time to time but also is cool seeing him with other heroes(Still I prefer seeing Spider-man more alone)

@@Cpk86 funny....because you act like a troll
The fact they treat themselves like brothers is awesome because once again in the comics remember when peter meets the other spiders they are all happy because he isn't alone anymore in this struggle between persona and person.
He knows he ain't alone no more and well how many of us feel safe when we find people that understand us?
Such a sweet ending.
I think Spider-Man should be on his own for his movies and possibly turn up for the big team ups. I wouldn’t mind a proper Daredevil team up though.
@Alexander Capanov Consequences in Spider-Man: Homecoming
Spider-Man losing the Stark internship due to putting everyone's life in danger on the ferry. Parker learning that he needs to take down Vulture because what he's doing is dangerous to the people of New York and not because he wants to impress or join the superhero's he looks up to. He also ruins his relationship with Liz after making the hard choice to do what's right over what's easy.
Consequences in Spider-Man: Far From Home
Parker giving up the power bestowed on him by hero's who came before due to feeling like a poor replacement for said hero's before realising the truth that being Spider-Man is enough.
Also Tony Stark has less than 10 minutes of screen time in the entire trilogy.

that perfect tone switch when peter's spider sense is going buckwild in happy's apartment is pure cinema
He was never broken. The experiences he’s had were building up to his arch’s finale; he just need time and space to grow.
Next Tony Stark? Nope. Just your friendly neighborhood Spider Man.

He didn’t need fixing. This was the story they were telling all along.

Not every Peter Parker has to have the same cookie cutter story, and even then, it still was basically the same story just with a few minor tweaks to make it fit into the MCU and Tony Stark's story better.
uhhh they kinda do... every Spider-Man has to face heavy losses to become who they need to...
Homecoming: Finding his *IDENTITY* as Spider-Man and not as Tony's protegé
Far From Home: Taking *RESPONSIBILITY* for his actions and resolving it on his own without his idols
No Way Home: Learns that in being Spider-Man, he can't save everyone and *SACRIFICES* must be made
Sacrifice and Responsibility make up the Identity of Spider-Man.
I’m hoping that the eyes of the suit going forward retain the expressive camera shutter inspired lens. Have it be like the PS4 game where it’s implied that most of his money is being spent on stuff to upgrade his suit and have all the suit’s functions work off a smartphone app he made.
Title should’ve been: “HOW THE SPIDER-MAN IN MCU DOESNT FIT MY CRITERIA”
I don't think mcu spidey was ever fixed in the first place, this was his origin story
“The ending reminded me of my favorite part of Spiderman 2”
Proceeds to cut to an ad for “the all new Subaru forester”
What I love about the ending was not only his own classic suit but also similarities of seeing Spiderman PS4 happening now.
"Sorry tom Sony's
got your ass and you're gonna be spider-man till you're 40. "
Lol this quote from the video was super funny.

Each Spider-Man movie becomes longer, and longer with the origin, and to be honest, I love it.
I love how right at the end of the movie where he goes to the coffee shop as spiderman but leaves as peter parker, the framing changes from superhero widescreen to the dynamic black bars that remove about 20% of the screen and it makes the movie look like a korean drama which just fit the coffee shop so perfectly
Technically, he's still an Avenger. Just none of them know his secret identity or how to contact him anymore.

Keep it up on your work and this video and channel
10:35 they mean the plan was to have peter learn to become the Peter everyone knows and loves.
Your new show look lit af ngl.
My thoughts exactly. I loved how they set up Tom's spider-man to be free from the avengers/iron-man dependence. His journey is just about to begin.
Beautiful movie, beautiful video man, you just increased my love for spiderman.
Finally, Peter Parker is depressed. I can die happy.
That's literally me by the end of the movie lol, Peter's now living a shitter life for our comic accuracy pleasure.
Peter must be depressed, thereby making him relatable, also thereby making him a true Spider-Man that embodies the everyman caricature in fiction as envisioned by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko
The ending almost completely addressed the grievances I had with mcu Spider-Man! I really hope Tom Holland keeps doing more movies!
I love how the original goal was the keep his loved ones knowing of his identity while every one else doesn’t, yet the movie ended with him not even having his loved ones in his life
He gave up his dreams to save the universe. What a shocker.
(JK I loved the movie)
With all the rumours that was coming out, I predicted that no way home would be a movie about how Tom Spiderman was going to be put in a very bad spot and in the end becomes his own Spiderman (since so far, Tom Spiderman has been a wannabe ironman in all seriousness. He looked up to and wanted to be like Tony) and that the other Peter Parker's would show him what the true meaning of Spiderman is. I wasn't far off. I would never have thought aunt may would have died or that Tom Peter Parker would have been erased from existence and I got to say, I loved it
the last moments was just like if you make a new world in minecraft but instead of a pickaxe he crafts a spiderman suit
The fact that this whole trilogy was an ongoing origin story impressed me a lot.I love this movie because Peter finally felt and saw the ramifications of his decisions regardless of his friends backing him up and learned from alternate versions of himself on how to become the better person.Him sacrificing his happiness for the safety of others he cared showed the level of self sacrifice I was looking for in this trilogy.
what do you mean finally? Peter's decisions cost him a lot in homecoming
@@garywebb2432 Same in Far from Home
@@garywebb2432 And in Far From Home, if he hadn’t given Mysterio E.D.I.T.H. none of No Way Home would have happened
Yeah...it's a great trilogy
I see a lot of Spider-Man lover trolls getting butt hurt to easily by my facts about this movie lol. Suck it up snowflakes😘🤣, here it is. Only the uneducated people thought this movie was good when clearly it was not if you were paying attention to it lmao🤣. Kevin Feige manipulated a lot of idiots to go see this garbage in theatre’s and robbed them taking their money lol. Glad I watched this a home for free🤣. This movie is a👎👎👎. Mess up number 1, it’s 100 percent fan service instead of a enjoyable movie which kills a lot of things. Mess up number 2, they made Dr. strange look stupid when clearly he is smarter than Spider-Man and can take that box away from him like it’s nothing. Only in Kevin Feige’s dumb little mind that Spider-Man can beat Dr.Strange in his own meer dimension🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Mess up number 4,This movie is really all about Spider-Man getting into MIT which is definitely a dumb way building this movie around. Why didn’t he just go to another college? Not difficult to do lol. Mess up number 5, the pacing in this movie is atrocious. It drags on during multiple parts for way to long and the action in this movie was so bland.mess up number 6, what was the point of curing the villains, only just to send them back to their time line and die? It just doesn’t make any since. Previous Spider-Man movies was way better than this garbage🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is not my favorite Spider-Man movie but it IS the perfect set up for a really REALLY good Spider-Man movie
This movie didn't "kinda" fix Spider-Man. No, it saved MCU Spider-Man. Can't wait for the future of the character!
I can see that you are another student average mcu fan, sad when it comes down to this.
@@eliasfigarzon9813 Been reading Spider-Man for the past 19 years, i'd say i know my fair share about the character.
Dude when toby stopped him from killing green goblin that was so perfect he said so much with just a look. So perfect
