Do you know how many decades have been in history? We’re talking BILLIONS. I don’t think the 90s was better than all of them or a golden age. I’m sure many people disagree and have a hope for the future, or they thought the last golden decade was decades ago. It’s also based on your location in the world at the time. If someone was going through a war, I don’t think the 1990s would be so great... like the Rwandan Civil War, Afghanistan Civil War, Kosovo War, etc. If someone’s family died or if they were in a famine. It’s like if someone said the 1940s was the last golden decade. Germans might think so, but the Jewish would not. It’s based on location, age, gender, ethnicity, religion, perspective, etc. It’s COMPLETELY subjective. Everyone will always have a different opinion, and the people who favor the 1990s for some reason think their opinion is above everyone else’s. I personally disagree and think the 2000s, but I can try to have hope for the future. It’s a matter of opinion, but you can’t state it as fact :)
