Agreed. Would be a much better bike without the KIPASS system, wouldn't it? I think the next version of the machine might in fact have KIPASS removed. We can hope anyway. :-)

It's an easy job to replace the battery's in the tire pressure sensor.....

BUt if the main 12V battery goes dead it will unregister the TPMS at least it did on mine. The main battery was dead for over a year while the bike sat. Also the TPMS batteries were dead before the main battery died and it is possible the previous owner had TPMS disabled. I bought the bike. I replaced the TPMS batteries but they did not come back on line. There is no TPMS warning, just a straight line where the PSI should read. Now I need to take the bike in just for this, and in the event the TPMS sensor no longer works, they stopped making them for the 2009, making a dealer visit a real crapshoot. I may go in, pay hundreds of dollars of shop time for nothing, almost not worth the gamble. Anyone else in this predicament have a good outcome?

Hi, James. It is not that simple. See this link on my website, www.motorcycleproject.com/text/concours_page.html
