After watching so many videos, I found yours to be the simplest to follow and it's very straightforward. I also found that using this method has produced a perfect bow knot compared to other videos I've tried which used fancy bow tie methods. Perfect in a haphazard way, if that makes sense.

Until now, I have always made the bow seperate because I was unable to make a perfect bow with the ribbon I wrapped the box with. Thia makea opening a gift more elegant too. So when I wrap gifts that have a beautiful lid because I like it to be an experience when opening one of my presents...this is going to make it how I imagined. I think beautiful wrapping is part of receiving the gift and the gift giving
Jane, have you ever done this? When someone is tying the ribbon bow around a present box did you hold the bow down with your finger to prevent it from slipping? I saw this lady do exacly that at the end of this advertisement for a clothing store in Dodgeville wisconsin and i have not found any videos, images of that trick at all. Its just impossible to find.
