I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you explaining what you are doing. So many other bookbinding tutorials on TH-cam have no audio or explanations about what they are doing, so unless you already have experience you have no idea why or what is going on. Thank you, thank you
This was by far the most helpful video I've seen on this:)! Thank you so much, I'll definitely be checking out other videos! I'm excited to start making some cool books
Great Tutorial video. Corners would be great to see again.I would love to hear a little more about leather selection as well. Thanks for your time and God Bless
Ive been watching lately and did my first cover today, pretty cool, what I'm curious is how to do a machined looking tooling perimeter and Gilt line, the hubs and measurements went great, there's not alot of content outside of yours free online , thank you brother, I'm out of Mormonism and new to biblical faith, your videos are great.
Hey, Beau! I'd love to see a follow through from the first Corner vid, seeing how you use the cut out in the liner, to place and glue up the book block and add any endsheets, if you use them to hid that liner area on the book block. Do you glue choose to glue the book block to the spine area? I don't for a rounded spine, but for a flat one, I do. Just wondered what you choose. For ribs, I use a heavy leather lacing, and I bevel the each end, just a personal preference, I like the way that the ends then blend into the cover. Please keep making how-to's, and reference what supplies you're using, please. Thanks so much Beau!! Karen
thank you for this in depth video, I was looking for some method of putting a raised design for leather armor that would be precise and the ability to make it professional looking. Due to the type of leather I was using for the project it meant that I couldn't tool my leather the normal way and had to put sheep and goat leather on top of thicker leather for the structure. IT was a bit of an odd shape being its for a woman breastplate in an archer sort of style; and I wanted a way to keep my leather the same color and type throughout the costume which is fantasy/medieval themed and I wanted everything to be cohesive. (competing in a craftsmanship competition in the master class division in fall and I want things to look professional instead of thrown together and mismatched) also due to the materials chosen I wouldn't be able to dye the leather the same color throughout either; making things difficult due to the types of leather making certain dyes not possible and color limitations within those constraints. I have been racking my brain over this and didn't want to give up on the leather armor version of this character and trying it for the first time. I was about to give up and just do the metal armor version with sintra, but your video gave me the the skills and hope I needed. Thank you so much sir!
Do you have a tutorial on constructing the inside liner and any kind of material in between the outer cover and inside liner to make a really cushiony, thick, but supple-feeling cover?
Hey Rob... I don't think I have a specific video on that but you can see the process when you watch the time lapse rebinds I have produced. Here is a link to one of them... th-cam.com/video/g3XJERXbZOg/w-d-xo.html
Do you have any tutorial on how to do a stitched, leather-lined rebind (like an R.L. Allan binding)? I bought a project bible that I want to rebind for my mother, but I want to try a stitched rebind.

What the importance of the raised hubs
Thanks for Details - do more of this. - from Switzerland Rudolf
Do you have a full tutorial from beginning to end of how to rebind a Bible? Good bless.
Brilliant thank you.
Do you have a tutorial on laying down the corners and getting those perfect?
That is great.

So neat brother thank you
thank you
That's great idea with shoelaces gonna try that instead of cutting strips of leather.
I found your bookbinding video so interesting and easy to follow. Do you have any ideas on what to use for the ribs on a 1" miniature book?
Do another corner video Beau
Hi, thanks for your tutorial. What is the name of the tool with the "spoon" on the end? thx
What is the purpose of raised ribs? Is it cosmetic? Or, do they add some sort of suport to the binding?
Great work will you be adding any design on the cover

Ok now i see i have always used a rubber shoe glue it has a soft flex and never becomes stiff.

What type glue are you useing? Thanks.
Sorry,I'm ignorant! Do the raised ribs serve a purpose other than asthetics?
Not in this manner... Unless you feel they help you grip the spine better
