How well do those condensate adaptors work with an internal pump?

Very well as long as there is no head above the unit limit (600mm on the MHI FDUM). This condensate pipe flowed horizontally so no head.

How do you clean the filters?

There is an access port on the side, 4 of PZ2 screws, undo, replace or clean the filters.

Normally it works with valves.. it wont work properly without these valves, to reduce airflow etc
