Folio Style 3 TUTORIAL - Interactive Mini album/Folio in size 6x8" or 6x6" (Trifold folio)

In this tutorial I am going to show you how to make this album style which is a trifold folio with pockets, flaps and a swing feature. To decorate the album I used a paper pad by Action, which is a local store here in Germany.

That was one of the best tutorials that I have every followed. I really enjoyed making this album and I loved the order in which the tutorial was done. I will certainly be making more.I have only one small issue. When I bought the templates etc on Etsy one of my main reasons for buying is because it said the album was 6x6, and I had some 6x6 papers that I wanted to use but realised after buying , that the album was actually 61/2 x 61/2 and my 6x6 papers were just a little bit too small. But I do have lots of other sizes of paper so was happy in the end.

You are right the album and the basis pages are larger than 6x6 inch. Sorry for the confusion. But it is actually the perfect size to use up 6x6 inch paper pads still with only adding one two or three sheets of larger papers for the cover to decorate. But on the Inside the papers being used have to be exactly 6x6 inches with only the Cardstock being a little larger to give it a nice border around the pattern paper. I chose these measurements so that the 6x6 inch papers wouldn’t have to be cut down. With a 6x6 inch album cover the Inside would have to be smaller which means all papers would have to be cut down by at least half an inch and it would also mean that 6x4 or 6x6 inch fotos had to cut down. Just a short explanation for the measurements but I totally get that this was a little disappointing to you. Glad to hear it worked for you in the end and you enjoyed making an album with the guides and tutorial.

Love this tutorial….where did you find the notch punch for the pockets?

I got it from Action, a Store here in Germany and it came with an envelope punch board. I think we r memory keepers also sells envelope boards and this always includes a Notch punch. So far I have never seen it being sold individually though. But it’s so worth it :)

not quite sure which punch you mean? The one for the notches on the pockets? this has been part of an envelope making set, which I got at Action Germany.

Love your album… are you using 12” x18” cardstock for the cover?
Thank you Donna! I am always using a3 size which is very common to use in Germany. It is 11 3/4 x 16 1/2 inch. So 12x18“ inch would work fine :)
