I had the oportunity to see her a few minutes in 1992 during an opening of Antoine's Tzapoff art exposition in Xalapa, and what a memorable moment in my life, she was stunning, amazing and charismatic lady, so gorgeous, so kind to everyone in that place, it was a moment I cherish to the date, she is still a mega star, she was wearing earrings showed in this video, thanks for posting it, the only thing I can say is Viva Maria Bonita!
When it comes to real quality jewelery there is no such thing as too much or gaudy.

El collar de campanas de coral, unas joyas de esmeraldas que pertenecieron a gloria Swanson, serpiebtes victorianas, perlas sus joyas grandes igual fueron subastadas en Sotheby's en los 80's y las joyas que se subieron al últimas no eran esas exquisitas piezas faltaron muchas joyas!!

I am glad that Cartier jewelry recovered those necklaces that were Maria's inspiration. Thus, those jewels remained in the correct place and not in the hands of his butler, who inherited his entire fortune.
About 20 years ago there was an exposition of her jewels by Cartier here in the Bay Area.I believe it was either the Palace of the Legion of Honor or the De Young Museum.Among the jewels was the crocodile necklace.Unfortunately I found out about it too late and I missed it.

Whenever she entered a palace or a mansion she made a grand entrance. Her strong temper made her to be noticed and everybody would gossip about her. A reporter once said "in a country where every woman is named Maria, paper readers would know when the headline said "Maria did it again", they were reading about Maria Felix. In terms of style having the great couturiers and jewelers, made her a sensation and she could carry a dead rat as a scarf and people will applaud her. These are interesting pieces, but not something most women would choose because they take up the stage…instead of enhancing the beauty of the woman.
