It has to be really difficult to believe in your product *that* much, though. I think that's what really helped them succeed. Most people would've given up on their product after the first failure. It takes a lot of strength to believe in something that much.

Thank you for sharing Justin. I knew the story of Airbnb & Michael however I didn't know the full story. So connections do help! You said you need to have a good story but someone has to listen 😂. Can I tell you the story of my startup
It is so f...g cool to know that you turned from an ordinary student into part and parcel of few interconnected legends, which will appear soon in Hollywood movies and you will become a hero to follow by huge number of boys in schools all around the world! :) Applied to YC, want to live all these emotions by myself (all mentioned ups and downs:))
I wish I had a cool story like this to tell lol. I have helped over 100+ people get into the construction unions here in NYC but never nothing close to a billion dollar company lol
Oke of the things that they heard from customers in NY was to remove the mandatory breakfast by the owners. This helped a ton as well, that’s what I know
Excelente historia Justin, en esa cena les dieron el empujón que todo emprendedor necesita cuando está a punto de darse por vencido. Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you. -Russell Simmons
I seem to be pretty early today. Thanks for the upload and sharing your story's Justin! Greetings from an at least 12 hours of flight away. Hope you're doing well. The US seems pretty cool, when it comes to chaotic tech startups that overrule the world. Love it!
I forgot to mention that I took the severance package in 2018 leaving my company with 18 years of sr engineering experience and six fig income to find my own startup and failed :) what a crack head! but only crack head can understand what it means to give up, fall behind, in order to move forward! keep those raw and wonderful stories coming to inspire us! thanks! :)
Brian Armstrong, engineer from Airbnb, went on to receive $150k in startup capital from y combinator. Maybe through some butterfly effect you guys helped to inspire that as well.
Justin, thanks for sharing this. I'm building a live shopping marketplace now and this video came in timely. I also sent you an email. Would be great to have your thoughts on it.
