I do like the ending as it kind of seems like a full circle. Season 1 starts with Freydis and Leif going to Kattegat and finding Harald there, and season 3 ends with them leaving together, again leaving Harald behind. Still wished for another season though
Absolutely baffling decision to end the show here considering the most important battle in England’s entire history is only like 15 or something years away at this point… like how are not getting a Vikings show up to 1066 which effectively ends the age of Vikings as it’s known?
They also left out major real events in Harald's life like escaping the infamous sea chains of Constantinople or the semi-legendary feat of capturing 50 forts during his time as a Varangian, and that he might've even fought in the Holy Land before the First Crusade. I would've assume we'd get seasons of his time as the actual king of Norway and end at Stamford Bridge. Weird place to end indeed.

If that happens, I hope it's not as rushed a movie as Seven Kings Must Die was, a movie whose story was enough for one more season of The Last Kingdom...

There won't be a 4th but Netflix has set precedent for ending a series with a movie. Maybe there will be a final movie concluding at the Battle of Stamford Bridge
I honestly don’t CARE what people think about the seasons of this series I think in my personal opinion, was great up until this ending. What I care about, is whether or not, we will get another season. If not, then it’s disappointing for this to end. What people don’t realize is that this series has SUCH potential and for it to end like this, it’s truly a tragic.

Almost true, Harold Godwinson was killed by an arrow to the eye at the battle of Hastings (14/10/1066) and Harald Hardrada was killed by an arrow to the throat during battle of Stamford bridge (25/09/1066)

GREAT. Sad HARALD didn't meet his son. Maybe there will be more. HOPE SO. LEO SUTER was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.
