I have the LTZ had since 2010 and still runs like its brand new the only problem I had was the starter going out besides that that's it I love me Tahoe
i actually like the ls model, im not too picky with having a ton of features, i like functional rather than luxurious... to me when you have a lot of features, electrical, sensors and things, its just too much maintenance to keep up.. i like this trucks body, its slick and looks pretty cool.

I'm detailing an 09 LS right now so this is pretty perfect timing... i'll have a video up as well. Has around 60k on it. No signs of the cracked dash but it sits in a garage and isn't in florida lol. Bullet proof reliability, but yea their interior is definitely not perfect.

the problem is, GM calls it a redesign but it looks more like a refreash. so i hope i dont get disappointed when they show the public the refreashed tahoe.
Best in class gas mileage. Its a base model, what do you expect? Vortech engines are some of the most reliable engines made. Check your facts before you hate on an awesome truck. My LTZ is probably the best car I've ever owned.

It's a rugged utilitarian truck designed to handle tough work for fleet companies, hence the LS model. Sharp edges on the door's cup holder??? Lol. Get real son. If you wanted Cadillac-grade luxury, then maybe you should have chose the LTZ model....or an Escalade.
@bmwmsport11. the 6 speed is optional on every model and you can get a 5.3 that really cone on most of the trucks. you can get any option for whatever you need

He is more of a critic than a reviewer, and I personally like the contrast to Sofyan, who sounds too much like a car salesman to me at times, though he is undoubtedly less edgy and smoother. Hurray for diversity on a channel?
Where's the "Oh no I miss Sofyan" whiners? Weirdly enough I love these SUVs. We had a 96 Tahoe for 13 years and 220k and yes the interior build/materials quality left a lot to be desired the truck ran very well and never let us down. A few little problems here and there but they were cheap fixes that could be done at home.
this base 2009 has a much better interior than a 2013 expedition limited which is much more expensive and it gets better gas mileage than the expedition
i saw a video about the new 2014 silverado and sierra which stated that it will use the same old 4.3 L V6, 5.3 L V8, and the newer 6.2 L V8 (dropping the 4.8 L V8) all dubbed EcoTec with obviously more hp and torque & better MPGs?? hopefully... i thought they were going to start using GM's 3.6 L V6 on their trucks for 2014 unfortunately not the case :(

i guess the 6-spd is a HD transmission? they had to pair my 2500HD with a HD tranny, but the silverado is only avaliable with the 4.8 in 1500 form, which is less HD than a 2500. so just maybe the 4-spd is a light duty transmission.
To say all American cars are junk is a misnomer. Ford has damn fine models for sale. GM has gotten tons better but, left their trucks and suv's to root. Probably since updating their cars was more important.
I've been a couple and they're fine rides if you're not paying the bill and they are newish. As an ownership proposition? Um, no thanks. Would love to see the stats saying that the Tahoe was showing a profit all by its lonesome.

Do some history of GM trucks and you'll see this is par the course. Its an enclosed Silverado/Sierra nothing more nothing less. Don't waste your money on a Denali or Escalade and you'll be happy in the long run.

I knew somebody who had a Tahoe for 16 years straight. They ride very nicely and are very comfortable.

I think a LT is the sweet spot imho. that 4.8L V8 is a joke.

Appalling interior maybe. But these tahoes with the vortec engines are very reliable.
