We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Strasbourg, France on August 2020.
Stasbourg is the capital and largest city of the Grand Est region of France and is the official seat of the European Parliament. Located at the border with Germany in the historic region of Alsace, it is the capital of the Bas-Rhin department.
Our guided walking tour is about 4.35 miles (7 km) long, starts at Petite France, ends at Orangerie Park and covers most attractions and historic sites of Strasbourg.

I cannot believe I have walked these very streets. It was such a privilege, my mom is a fucking hero, working herself out to the bone just to get me and my brothers the very best of this world. It is surreal. I'm from Brazil and I honestly believe I'll never have the money to travel out again but I'm glad that Mom gave me the chance. Incredible.

Beautiful, and often overlooked, city
My wife and I took the train there from Paris for one overnight stay(I had done the research and we loved what we saw), and I really believe our time there was more memorable than anything in Paris. And we LOVED Paris. There is just something about the beauty of Strasbourg that captures you and never lets go. We hope to return to France one day and this time we'll spend 3 or 4 nights there. Absolutely loved it. I woke up at 5am after our one night there and wandered around with my camera. I basically had the city to myself. Never forget it. The cathedral and the square all around were empty. It was surreal, magical, and memorable. Highly recommend anyone who ever goes to Paris, to be sure to make time for a visit.

In my opinion, the city is very underestimated. I was not in France, but from what I saw, one of the two cities in France that I like the most (the second is Rouen). I like Paris and Amsterdam much more. By the way, it's time for you to go to Rouen.

This video is 4k, of course, like all our videos on the BookingHunterTV channel, but it looks like TH-cam's 4k resolution processing system has a big problem at the moment. Some of our last uploaded videos have this issue.
We have already sent them a request to solve this problem and we can only hope that they will solve it as soon as possible.

@@BookingHunterTV no problem. I asked this question of another walker- and you're one of the best- and he said TH-cam can take several days to put out the 4K. It makes such a difference on our 4k TV or even on my 2K computer monitor. We were in Strasbourg for an all too brief visit in 2018, and it brings great smiles to my wife and me as we see the bridges and buildings that we remember. We were only there one night. Next time we're shooting for 4 or 5. I've read some articles about Strasbourg that there isn't a lot to do, but it is so stunningly beautiful that we could easily spend that amount of time just walking about, enjoying the beauty at every turn. I'll keep checking back for the 4K, but this was a beautiful walk. Thanks for taking us to faraway places in these stay-at-home times. It will be a difficult Christmas for much of the world, and it does us good to walk with you in such a beautiful place. Perhaps you will be back in Strasbourg or another French town when the Christmas decorations are all up. It would do our hearts good to see such holiday beauty at Christmas. Please try!

it looks like a german city and the name also sounds like a german city
of couse, the Alsace region was german at least 2 times in modern history and both cultures are similar. some people here also speak Alsacian, a language that look a lot like german. A lot of city's and village's names sound german (finish with -heim or -œft)

It was German until Henri de La Tour d’Auvergne, vicomte de Turenne (a french marshal) kikcked the Germans out of Alsace in 1675 at the battle of Turckheim.
It was Straßburg for 700 years, a south german town such as Nürnberg, Augsburg, Freiburg ... Louis XIV robbed it. Until today the german roots are denied, the german language and the alsacian dialect despised and suppressed.

Used to be. The architecture gives it away. And the surrounding towns and villages used to be German as well. Many of their names end with ‘heim’.
Straßburg was German for over 1000 years until the French committed ethnic cleansing in Alsace-Lorraine and never got punished for it. Does „Straßburg“ sound any French to you?? It IS German!
@@linajurgensen4698 Alsace was originally an independent region. Then it became French in 1681. It didn't become German for the first time until 1871. And that's it! (apart from a few exchanges during the world wars). Alsace was French for 286 years, and German for 50. That's the reality and we'll just have to live with it.

Whoever says 4k doesn't look any better than 1080p only needs to watch some of these walks to see the difference!
