I believe investors should prioritize under-the-radar stocks, especially given the current volatility of the market. With 35% of my $270k portfolio tied up in once-prominent stocks now plummeting, I'm left feeling uncertain about how to proceed amidst this turmoil.
Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder.
Opting for an inves-tment advisr is currently the optimal approach for navigating the stock market, particularly for those nearing retirement. I've been consulting with a coach for a while, and my portfolio has surged by 85% since 2022
This is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? i'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation
Rachel Sarah Parrish is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment..
Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
Everyone’s been preaching investing lately as a source of passive income but with a 70 hour weekly jobs and limited knowledge of financial instruments, how can I actually stay on top of things, I see every TH-cam video saying BUY BUY! But when and how do I sell for profit at the right time?
I also think everyone needs a Margin of Safety in their portfolios and just remember, It's time in the market versus timing the market.
Well all i know is that you cannot go wrong taking profit at near high. No one ever went broke taking a 10% loss. It's best if you consult with a fiduciary advisor to get informed buying & selling decisions
De-risk your portfolios, shore up your core holdings, and take some profits while balancing your portfolio allocations. I’d also suggest you go with a managed portfolio, but even those don’t perform so well, so it’s best you reach out to a proper fiduciary to guide you, that’s what works for my spouse and I. We've made over 80% capital growth minus dividends.
I've been considering getting one, but haven't been proactive about it. Can you recommend your advisor? I could really use some assistance.
I'm cautious about giving specific recommendations as everyone's situation varies. Consider independent financial advisors like "Kristin Amber Landis" I've worked with her for 9 years and highly recommend her. Check if she meets your criteria.
As an investing enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?
the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.
I agree, having a brokerage advisor for investing is genius! Amidst the financial crisis in 2008, I was really having investing nightmare prior touching base with a advisor. In a nutshell, i've accrued over $2m with the help of my advisor from an initial $350k investment.
Please can you leave the info of your lnvestment advsor here? I’m in dire need for one

Thank you for this Pointer. It was easy to find your handler, She seems very proficient and flexible. I booked a call session with her.
I bought a good amount of TSLA and SOFI today, I'm focused on the growth of my portfolio this year
The same here, My TSLA is for long term holding, last weekend My portfolio made it to $20m total, started from $1m, investing weekly dividends in long term ETFS that’s my route. to the moon.
Are you a pro? how did you achieve this
No I'm not, Katherine Elizabeth Humphreys is behind my growth, look her up or make proper research for one who is suitable with your goals.
Kath is wonderful, Im happy seeing this recommendation, she looked more beautiful in person when I saw her in New York.
She's destined to be one of the best traders of her generation when compared to her peers. Great job!
I love it that you are analysing different types of companies that you dont own in your recent videos
I agree
It's like some stocks are flying under the radar despite their potential. It makes you wonder when the market will catch on to their true value. how can I invest $100K smartly to secure my future?
It's frustrating when market inefficiencies persist, particularly with undervalued stocks. Consider consulting an advisor for smarter investing decisions.
The market's instability makes DIY risky. You don't need to find the next NVDA to succeed in investing. Opt for top-notch ETFs, dividend aristocrats, and a trusted advisor. I've turned $95k into $17k in annual dividends, a major milestone.

*Sharon Lynne Hart* is the licensed advisor I use. Just search the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment.
100% agreed, my so called target retirement fund in 401k had absolutely terrible return compared to sp500. I moved all to sp500 but biggest regret of my life I didn't do it sooner..What else is best way for me to invest $100k in a non-retirement account?
I would avoid index funds, mutual funds, and specific stocks for the time being. Right now, the best option is a fixed income of 5%.
you need a certified financial planner straight up! personally, I invest in ETF's and also love investing in individual stocks. yes it’s riskier but am comfortable in my financial environment
Right, a lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. During the covid-outbreak, I needed a good boost to stay afloat, hence researched for advisors and thankfully came across one with grit. As of today, my portfolio has grown by 25% every quarter since Q3 2020.
I'm intrigued by this. I've searched for financial advisors online but it's kind of hard to get in touch with one. Okay if I ask you for a recommendation?

Joseph, from someone who has to navigate the health care system on a daily basis, the health care system in the US is not great. If you are a patient, the health care system is unreliable in many ways. Most recently, I waited for an appointment for 8 months only for the doctor to cancel the appointment 4 weeks out, without any warning and without offering me a rescheduled appointment. I have to go to 2 different drug stores to get my medications due to supply issues. In my state, 8 hospitals just went bankrupt and are being investigated by the government. I really don't think people understand how bad the system is unless you have to use it on a regular basis. The U.S. health care system is in crisis and if you get denied regularly for medications you need, only then do you begin to understand this. I don't think I will ever invest in health insurance companies because one of the ways they maintain their cash is by denying patients the medications they need to live. This is dystopian at best.
I also work in healthcare, and have learned over the years two things. One, there is no “health” in healthcare. Second, the older a person is, there is no “care.”
As a European, believe me when US healthcare is a JOKE. Its literally a running joke over here 😂
@@Rockingstarsur only falling apart in about every other aspect😅
You're talking about the US system in isolation. You need to compare it to everywhere else.
The US has better cancer treatment programs, hospitals, and surgeons, than anywhere else in the world. You can look up any list from virtually any rating system and the US will occupy 80%+ of the top rated 50 medical programs in the world. People travel from all over to seek treatment in the US.
Here's from one ranking system: "The United States remains at the forefront of cancer treatment, boasting renowned cancer hospitals, cutting-edge technologies, and leading oncology specialists. The country's extensive network of research institutions and clinical trials offers patients access to the latest innovative therapies and treatment options. With personalized care and multidisciplinary approaches, the United States continues to attract medical tourists seeking top-quality cancer care."
You will find the same conclusions on virtually any type of treatment.
One anecdotal story of you having an appointment cancelled is not strong evidence to the contrary. You can compare wait times from the US to Canada and Europe and you have far longer wait times on average outside of the US.
People often conflate medical treatment, technology, and doctor skill, with the billing and insurance system. The US has its issues with billing, but there's not a better country for full medical treatment.
I'm sure there's not going to be any consensus on this topic (everyone has their opinions). But most ranking systems done by most organizations rank the majority of US institutions across the board higher on average than other countries. I would propose that data as being the evidence behind my claim.

Thanks for the detailed Adobe breakdown!! 💯 been on the fence about starting a position
Got MSCI at 458.01$ and UNH at 439$ few weeks ago 💯
Impressive, very nice

If you're bored and looking to research some random tickers.. These are my small/mid sized favorites as of May. I'm curious what people think about these or just some of the home builders in general?
HCC, PHM, MLI, NVR, MHO, ACGL, SM, DHI, MTDR, RMBS
Been holding ADBE for months... not moving at all. It's like a big rock.
same here.this dip is a buy for me
Great choice. As for me I go for MSCI, ADBE and finally to UNH
Hey Joe, what an amazing video. Your videos are always amazing with a ton of value added. Thanks for all the content!!!
Loved the backseat driving discussion.
Great video! What do you think of ULTA at this valuation?
Big buy. Started to increase after a long time.
i've been buying non stop, specially since they announced their partnership with target
Thanks, Joseph.
Thanks so much for the content Joeseph.
Historically speaking Bitcoin doesnt do much immediately after the halving - but it does do impressive spikes and tops out around 18 or so months afterwards. No one can time the market, but I'd say it's worth considering entering a position at current prices and if further dips occur, just add to your position. Over the long run, there is a higher probability to the upside than the downside, .It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.4Bitcoin to a decent 18Bitcoin in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
I appreciate the professionalism and dedication of the team behind Linda’s trade signal service.
Trading with an expert is the best strategy for beginners and busy investor s who have little or no time to monitor their trades.
It was quite challenging to understand the different trends on my own until i found out about Wilburn. Trading made easy.
What I appreciate about Linda Wilburn. is her ability to tailor strategies to individual needs. She recognizes that each investor has unique goals and risk tolerances, and she adapts her advice accordingly...........
Productivity is never accidental; it is always the result of careful planning, dedication, and consistency.
Thanks fir the video. I like the way you pick stocks. Are you buying any if these fir your portfolio now?
You do a great job.
Great Job as always Joseph.
Have you considered owning Novo Nordisk or Eli Lilly?
Enjoy every episode. Thank you so much!!!
Excellent video! Thank you for providing the thorough explanation on Adobe's business. Interesting points on MSCI too - I wonder to what mergers the CEO is referring. All great stocks, thank you.
This is for sure a banger of a video love it already
bought MSCI, UNH, but also sBUX! ;)
thx for re-enforcing my buys!
grate material!
bought the dip on united health. glad i did
From my observation and historical market pattern, there might be a bit of turbulence in the market coming up, but here's the deal: Trying to guess what's going to happen next is less important than spreading your bets when trading and thinking long term. It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady...managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Walter James Henry, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape....

Great seeing you also looking at UNH. I’m already in UNH. Quite lucky to get the last bottom, before the stock moved higher on earnings. So a little + right now. Planning to hold for a long time, fundamentals looks great!
Always appreciate some great MSCI coverage. I still see a very long growth runway for this business, and I'm glad you brought up the temporary retention rate issues
Thanks for covering MSCI and noting the situation on the retention hit, as I hoped for! Another banger, Joseph!
I learn so much from you. Thank you.
Thank you Joseph for putting on the jacket. Last video was a little distracting without it 🙏🏽
Good video!
Just bought adbe on the dip a couple weeks ago
I own UNH - I’ve been buying dips below 460. I’ve been watching Adobe for a couple years… I kept looking for more of a discount but I might just have to buy a share and DCA in at this point.
Interesting. I bought both ADBE and MSCI in the past month. Another to look at that is down is ADSK.
Loving it 😊
Just before this video Sam Altman announced it wont be a search engine... lol
✅ True
"not gpt-5, not a search engine, but we’ve been hard at work on some new stuff we think people will love! feels like magic to me."
- Sam Altman
*️⃣ What Sam Altman said is that it won’t be a "search engine" in a traditional sense. This doesn’t rule out a service that gives you answers like Google does - but skips the tired list of links (full of ads) and simply provides the most likely answer, along with some sighted sources - allowing customer to do further research, if necessary.
Joseph - there’s a part of United’s business you might appreciate. They essentially are also a bank via Optum Bank which holds HSA funds for employees. So they also earn interest income. Didn’t know if you knew that.
I work for the investment arm of a large bank. We are looking to cut some of our index licenses and MSCI is one on the chopping block
Been buying Adobe and MSCI so thank you for the extra confirmation bias 😂
Joseph - thank you again for creating great content! I am your fan! Can you please make a video on Portilos? You are the restaurants stocks expert & although this is a great business & food, stock has been struggling. If done right this could be next chipotle in next 10 years.
Great video Joseph as always. Had a quick question on using DRIP. Do you reinvest back into same stock that paid the dividend or do you buy something dipped in red? Thanks you for your time and please anyone else who sees this all advice is welcome thanks
Great call out and analysis of adobe JC! It’s now the top stock on my radar. Keep us posted on your evaluation of adobe and if you purchase shares.
When you showed Adobe's chart and said they switched to a subscription business model, it reminded me of what is happening now in CISCO. What do you think?
Great video Joseph! Great take on companies which you don’t own, I like these kinds of videos a lot!
Regarding the Apple topic: It’s a provocative ad, nothing more. Actually I liked the concept. The only reason I knew this is going to end in a shitstorm is because society is just way too soft nowadays.
Hello Joseph, I have a question. What software do you use to draw those useful lines and writings on your screen?
Thank you for your videos. Could you please do a review on NDAQ. Or maybe a comparison video of NDAQ vs SPGI. Thank you
I bought recently MSCI, MA and ULTA this week.
Thoughs on uber after the sell off?
Common theme here is greedy pricing results in lower unit volume. Forgetting the customer first approach.
@JosephCarlsonAfterHours any chance of reviewing EXPE? You recently talked a lot about ABNB but curious about competitors
Thank you for reviewing Adobe!! Idk if it’s from my previous suggestion but it was much appreciated!!!
Can you talk about AXP stock and why it isn't in your portfolio.
Once again demonstrating why you are one of the BEST stock market TH-camrs out there. Excellent video.
Great video! And great minds think alike, as UNH has been one of my larger positions as of late and I'm considering buying MSCI. I'm also happy to see some acknowledgement of behavioral reasons why buying opportunities exist, as this aspect is totally underappreciated. Keep them coming!
I actually initiated a small position in msci
Thanks for the video. I've been thinking about ADBE and V. Your synopsis of the company and the fact it has dipped has led me to choose ADBE. I owned it before and turned it for a quick profit. Dumb!!! Wish I would have held.
Hi Joseph,
What is your opinion about Reddit & Coursera?
My borrowed conviction is heavy with ADBE
Hi Joseph do you still have the story fund portfolio? Would like to see updates
at 3:05
You should do a video analyzing TOST and CAVA, also DKNG is interesting. I know that you like to look at profitable companies with long track records, but these are very interesting companies that are heavily being pushed by secular trends and could have tons of growth potential as they become more profitable. Just curious to hear your opinion.
I second this comment fullheartedly. I see potentially for fantastic growth quite quickly in these stocks.
Msci is slowly becoming one of my biggest holdings
I agree that many people are considering NVDA as the "Stock of the year." However, I'm curious about which stocks could potentially become the next META in terms of growth over the next decade. I've allocated $200k for investment, aiming to retire comfortably.
I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.
Facing a similar situation, I sought advice from an invęstment advisęr. Through portfolio restructuring and diversification with good ETFs, S&P 500 and growth stocks, I've turned my portfolio around from $200k to over $800k in a few years.
It appears that your investment advisor is highly skilled. Could you please let me know if you are still in contact with this advisor and, if so, how?
Carol Vivian Constable is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
My needs are kind of unique and complex. I'll contact her nonetheless, and I hope I'm able to make something out of it.
The retention drop because of CreditSuisse / UBS integration (and a couple more).
How about CRM, you didn't mention that it dropped close to 8% recently
Yes
A risk with MSCI is that they need data from exchanges to construct their indexes, for example a competitor might get an exclusive contract for the data. I think that's probably mitigated to some extent by MSCI supplying analytics to exchanges. From the annual report, "The Trove team - now known as MSCI Carbon Markets - currently analyzes around 15,000 carbon-credit projects around the world and supplies that research to corporates, investors and exchanges.". It's also possible that exchanges wouldn't want to inconvenience MSCI's clients, who span a wide range (Asset owners, Asset managers, Financial intermediaries, Wealth managers and Corporates).
I bought the drop on SBUX. Still only a few percentage of my holdings tho.
You don't need to overreact to this iPad commercial. The ad is fine. People need to understand the commercial. It's not attacking your nostalgia.
Thanks for the UNH and Adobe suggestions. I've owned UNH before, it's a great div stock and a top health care provider. I'll be keeping an eye on them.
Adbe and Unh, both seem pricey though think still much upside.
Just a note on healthcare here. Healthcare here is more about treating metabolic messes and unhealthy people and prescribing drugs actually rather than preventing issues and getting people to lead healthier lifestyles. So treatment or surgical fixes are good and efficient, but we need more on prevention side and nutrition and lifestyle improvements.. medical field is behind the latest studies mostly (esp on nutrition and evaluating bloodwork) and still just worry ab cholesterol vs bigger issues or source causes like inflammation, insulin resistance and oxidative stress which is the real source of the higher LDL. Anyway, if it were a prevention type model, then it isnt profitable.. they want to sell drugs for Pharmas - need unhealthy people!
Do you plan to buy any of these anytime soon Joseph?
bought Adobe when the video was first released, now is -10%, thanks mate. I will hold on into it just to remind myself i shouldn't trust TH-camrs analysis.
This is no hater comment, i still think your channel is very informative and i will keep following.
Can you please analyze Ulta, it’s sold down a lot and for no reason.
it sold down because the CEO said that demand slowed down way faster than expected. i also have a big position in it but i dont worry for it atm. In the long run i expect them to rise up again and they may even jump up ~10% next earnings (i think the 29th?).
Adobe is a great company with pricing power for sure, appreciate the insight on legal risk involved... MSCI is not cheap tho....
Bob and Howard has always undermine their successor, prima donna CEO...
Honestly thought ulta beauty might feature in this. Down to 400 from 540
Do you think adobe is going down over worried about AI making some of its features obsolete?
Joseph Carlson to me offers the most high value free content. The videos are no-hype informative input and I get to pick up some way of thinking myself. In fact, I bought into MSCI and United Health myself throughout the past few weeks. Thanks!
Also, your comments and your past video about Starbucks is spot on! I see all finfluencers jumping the bandwagon on Starbucks but I really dislike the past numbers and the lack of support the current ceo has. Seems like he’s already burned and likely to either step down soon or drag the company down this way amidst total confusion. I’m wondering if all the finfluencers are wrong or if I am.
MSCI & UNH 👌📈
lol
You are never evaluating your picks whether they are trading in fair value or not. Why would I buy adobe at >40 PE ?
Thought you were talking about Iger while Chapek was heading disney when you brought up an old CEO.
rly good analysis on those stocks, but one question open for me on MSCI is the high debt they have. i mean its maturity is till 2029 but why do they need so much debt while generating so much cash?
The examples you used for Netflix and Amazon make sense, however, it moved with the entire market. It just so happens that Netflix and Amazon started dropping at the end of 2021 while everything else dropped which coincidentally was with a ceo change. It ran back up the same time everything else did at the end of 2022 so technicals actually have more to do with it.
I think intel is starting to look interesting below $30
Of these 3, Adobe seems most promising to me. Curious - what about the rest of you ?
I have a big stake in UNH. Really good company.
I have Adobe Acrobat 2017, the last standalone version I believe, and I dread the day I'm forced into the subscription model. 😳😖😱
I like google because of TH-cam but what possible outcome from their trial. The company looks like msft in 90s ironically enough.
Very good video! Thanks a lot for the info.
Here I give you my top 4 stocks that are good investments in the long term and they are down from their tops as well:
-IBM (Fundamentals are good and the growth potential about Quantum computer can't be negligible)
-ADSK (Fundamentals are strong and they are still growing)
-LULU
-EXPE
This AMS66P is a revolutionary project and amazing technology.
That's kind of an interesting thought... You didn't want to learn a new product so you were willing to pay more. How much would Adobe need to increase their price for you to choose to learn a new product instead? If there is a threshold for what you aren't willing to pay before switching to a new product, aren't you delaying the inevitable and paying more overall in the long run while STILL having to learn a new product later on?
Schultz is not just an ex-CEO. He’s also the largest individual shareholder of SBUX. Isn’t he the chair of the board or something like that? I don’t see a problem with him criticizing the new CEO for his horrible performance!
Every time Schultz leaves, Starbucks goes downhill. I think he is frustrated with a stubborn CEO who is in denial. I watched his interview, and he thinks his strategy is great; people just don't understand how great the $9 coffee is. People are pushing back, and Schultz is exactly right, IMHO.
You are missing the point ! Reed and Jeff are also not just an ex-CEO, also the founder & largest individual shareholder of their company. Like Joseph said, if you have to criticize, do it privately. Public criticism makes it 10 times harder for the new CEO to do his job.
@@davidzfr that is true and I don’t think Schultz isn’t aware of that. If Schultz still decides to publicly criticize and humiliate the new CEO, I hope he’s already decided to fire him 👋
Why you’re not in a C Suite
3:38, hey Joseph I've noticed a pattern of you talking about companies this way that sort of annoys me. While it is true that you don't own any ADBE now, you did own and sold it fairly recently (~ a year ago, i think?). I think in your preamble, you should mention this fact. My first reaction to ADBE in this video was "Wow Joseph is interested in Adobe again? What changed?", but you didn't really answer that question and I think that is some very important context in understanding your analysis.
I remember corridor digital dropping a video ranting about how Adobe is getting less relevant and buggy, replaced by alternatives. Would be cool to see your reaction to that video. I thought their opinion as a small media company was really interesting
AMS66P technology is ahead of its time. This will be huge!
Defy who’s expectations?
