what do you think of the omega de ville? i am not a watch geek but a design geek (architect) and somehow i liked the de ville the most.

@@lolollolol5654 Its a good watch, his is a vintage model and you can actually find them for a pretty good deal used. Vintage Omega is a bit of a minefield, lot of dial swaps and things like so something to be aware of. The Deville is a classic, still made today.

That's why I was never a big fan of Rolex, most people get them so they can show off as opposed to having it for a practical reason. My father has a few and I feel for me I just need one that speaks to my style
Well said! I am also here to learn how to invest after listening to a lady on tv talk about the importance of investing and how she made 7 figure in 3 month, somehow the video taught me nothing and left me even more confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas on how to invest for retirement

I respect the fact this guy actually wears his watches. He has stories for each time piece. He actually is an enthusiast rather than someone looking for attention or thinks Rolex is the only good brand out there
A collector with true down to earth reasons and stories in obtaining them. Something many of us can relate to or aim to do. Hope to see him in more films Gentlemen was a very good follow up!
I don’t know why he thinks watch geeks and snobs would look down in this collection…it is a solid stack of wrist wear; and is great when he can relate the watches to life events and can speak to why the character of the watch fits him.

Very cool that despite having the same derivative watches as other celebrities - 5711, Rolex GMT - he still has more original pieces. An older Tudor - before their in-house movement - he was hip to Tudor a while back.

To clarify the difference between Automatic and Manual - they both have main springs that slowly unwind to power the watch. The difference is that an Automatic watch's main spring is charged through the rotation of the rotor

Yeah he didn't go with the most obvious with Rolex, he also has a Tudor which is still a Rolex family member but how much you want a bet people don't know about it. And I just LOVE the IWC dials, simple and yet beautifully done

Cool! Very down to earth guy, and great collection. Each watch purchase seems to be very thought through and intentional, not just some rich guy buying the most blinged out, most expensive pieces, so you can tell the passion is legit.
