As said definately pin the lock plate. I'm working away for the next couple of weeks in Newcasle, controller door operator upgrade, Schindler QSK8 with L & L linear, if you've got G mail Mike will send a couple of photos across to show you how we have to mod things to fit, Shorts DMG controller and Beringer valve. ? GAL seems to have a lot of problems. My childhood elevators are Schindler 500A with ECI door equipment, and with wear & tear comes issues. It's reasons like those why I prefer Linear door operators. How many issues have you had to troubleshoot with newer Linear door operators?
Definitely pin it with a self tapping screw
Pin it with a tek screw in the middle?
that or drill and tap a 1/4-20 wizz bolt as a set screw in the middle

I really don't have a lot of linear door ops that I work on and all the new stuff we put in is GAL harmonic stuff.
