I watched this in 1987 with my now deceased husband. I cried, he watched me. Said my soft heart was one of the things he loved about me. It hit hard because my father was an alcoholic and lived on the streets. There was a woman who took in people like him and got their welfare checks. But she gave them a good home. He got sober, ended up having a stroke and was put in a nursing home. He died a short while later. The woman...Sadie A. was a Saint in my eyes. She gave my dad a home and comfort. That is the type of place these people need...a home, not a hole to hide then in for a night..degrading them.
Its reminds me, how Lucy ended up in her late years from divorce from Desi. Yet, in reality Lucy was a millionaire at this time 85', and happily married to Gary. one year later Desi died 86'. Four years later 89' Lucy dies. Rest in peace. Thanks for the great memories! You two were a terrific team once, and you made millions adore you!
Thanks for posting. I had never seen this film before. I came across this after searching around the internet after reading the 1st episode of I Love Lucy aired 70 years ago yesterday 10/15/1951 Daphne Zuniga looks like she could be the sister of John Travolta 12:59
Idk if this sounds weird or not but the music that's playing during the flashback sequence sounds really sad. Whenever I think of my own memories I think of that music too, I sometimes even cry when I hear it. :'( Probably due to nostalgia I have. Also I feel bad for the cat when she took its food away.
being homeless is absolutely the most HORRID WAY TO LIVE!! THIS COUNTRY needs to do more tohelp homeless people like have more shelters or at least let WOMAN LIVE in shelters longer.
It must have been very difficult for a well respected actress and comedian to portrait a homeless woman in this movie and its true never take everything for granted, money 💰 isnt everything but your health is greater and here in Ontario our health care is mostly paid for by ohip greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the movie as a front line health care worker I deal with people who are homeless or living with friends or in the hospital under the direction of the shelter system
this movie makes you appreciate what little bit u do have.because its people out there do far worse than u

It's horrible seeing people like Florabelle live like this. I hate it. Congratulations, Stone Pillow. I think you've made your point.
I watched this movie when it aired years ago, Lucille Ball is the best!

The answer in 2018 is to arrest the homeless. That is the deplorable answer for everything.
