- Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) tries to understand why his girlfriend Lea (Paige Spara) might be upset with him, given that he was honest when he explained what does and doesn't bother him about her body and voice, and learns that total honesty can be tricky. Later, the intern candidates weigh in on his relationship struggles. Meanwhile, Dr. Claire Browne (Antonia Thomas) struggles with Dr. Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann), who has now become an internist, but still wants to second-guess all of Claire's surgery decisions. It’s only a few episodes into Season 4, but I was QUITE impressed with how much Shaun and Lea have grown since late last season! Lea was calmly able to walk away calmly, and Shaun was able to let her, without either of them saying/doing something that they would regret / wouldn’t mean. Bravo!!
For some reason I was actually surprised Shaun brought up "Tequila Stat". I don't know why. That is like one of their most iconic lines.
Shaun still is learning how to reconcile in a relationship, drinking tequila together is a strong positive memory for him, so naturally he tried that first.

lea felt a little insecure here she's not mad. she just needs assurance that shaun still loves her regardless of her flaws, it shows how much she loves shaun and how much they have grown as a couple

My mom actually had students watch when I was born. I was born prematurely and I guess it was a good opportunity to see a premature birth. I was born 5 months early and I think the students were scared for me (well that’s what my mom said). I’m sure they saw how they deal with premature babies and how to help them.
5 months?? Damn I was born 9 weeks early and thought that was super early (I mean it is). Don't think I've ever heard of someone born that early so you must feel very grateful to be alive.
