Well when your countries minimum wage doesn't cover cost of living for a single person then when you have a job that pays TRIPLE that and it's STILL not enough, that's how you get in that situation
There's so many unanswered questions here. It says they were roommates but, did he move in with her or did she move in with him? How old was he? His wife said " he had 4 kids" not "we had 4 kids". If it was her house she should have just kicked him out. If it was his house she should have just left. There has to be a lot more to the story unless she is a complete mental case.
