Haha... a worthwhile mic battle. Sounded surprisingly good, especially at that price!

With so many great brands out there putting out XLR/USB hybrids, what mic stands out the most to you? How does this one compare for the money? #micbattle

This product is very worthy of its price. Do you know how PD400X compares to shure mv7?

@@user-gs9xb1yn7b I would say the MV7 is an overall more crisp sounding mic but so much better that it justifies an extra hundred dollars on the price tag.

what do you choose maono pd400x or rode podmic usb? i plan just using the usb

Great question. I am partial to Rode mics in general, but it's hard to ignore the cheaper price tag on the Maono while still getting great sound. I would say that, for me, the tipping point would be the Unify software for Rode. Unless you have plans to use some other mixing solution, go Rode.

3:45 is the knob click very audible in the recording? I listened with headphones and didn't seem to hear it too much

It's not terrible as long as you aren't manhandling the mic when you do it. It's also something that I wouldn't expect a lot of people to need to be doing in the middle of a recording or stream as you will likely set all of that up once and then not need to touch it beyond that.
