- THE REMIX. Some folks earlier in the thread were thinking that it might be cool if this wonderful video were intercut with some of the relevant bits of Day9 daily #100, and I thought it might be a fun thing to take a stab at, particularly after I had some trouble remembering some of Day's descriptions of WCG 2005.
Obviously this is not meant as a replacement or improvement on the original video, which is basically flawless and immaculately edited. Instead it's just sort of a neat experiment. Hopefully the original creators are cool with it, if not I'll take it down.
Some relevant links,
The original video: • Footage of Artosis, Da...
Day9 Daily #100 (cued to when he tells the story of his brother's qualification for WCG 2005 - seriously, take the time to watch this again): • My Life of Starcraft -...
watched it for the plott
that pun was pretty Tasteless
damr1990 he's here all Day.
So...it turns out that seeing Day9 cry actually makes me cry.
I for sure would cry too.
Day[9] made me do it
T.T
when day9 laughs, you laugh
when day9 cries, you cry
I admit not being as emotional about this as you are, but I find myself watching this over and over again. Simply because starcraft. Starcraft man.
Artosis has left the game.

This video is amazing. Seanny's legendary daily #100 and the actual video of those things he explains and also his most significant win... this is just amazing. Hands down man.
"Actually Im gonna go talk to them right now" And so began the making of the first half of the Archon.
With a wink, nod, and what learned men would call luck but fools knew as Providence, it was captured on film.
Epic! Seeing the story from different viewpoints as it unfolds, having key moments described in Sean's own words, experiencing footage from the games themselves ... this is just beautifully done, and maintains an excellent pacing. Kudos, sir!
Oh I remember watching this Day9 episode like a year ago or so, didn't know how the tournament actually was other than what I heard from his video, so thanks for uploading this.
I can't get enough of this footage. Brilliant and also very touching.
Wow it's been so long since his #100 daily, jesus. Time moves too fast.
considering your comment is now 7 years old. yes, yes it does :(

I keep coming back to this because this is such a great beautiful story, but its also a major turning point in the entire scene with tasteless and artosis starting casting careers, and propelling starcraft to be the prime esports example and basically making the entire scene of esports from nothing
Wow. perfectly edited man. thanks for spending the time to do this.
God Day9 was such a qt
I've watched this video a few times in the last year and it hits me with feels every time.
The brotherly love between Sean and Nick gets me every time
Damn Day9 with the feels
I love how this is an example of how games can bring people together. Just because it's a competition doesn't mean you can't be friends and it doesn't mean you can't work together to build something greater out of the situation. These guys all work together and support eachother now, so awesome to see. GG Plott brothers and Artosis you guys are bouse.
More people need to watch this video, it's very touching
props to the man who edited this toghether. Its like a whole extention to the #100 daily
gave me the nerd chills
Wow, Day[9] looks so young! And he knows everything about the game xD
Wow great edit, my man! Especially for someone who doesn't have the time to watch the whole thing on Day9's channel. Anyway even if I had watched the whole think I would still enjoy watching your edit, great job!
I can't believe I was watching these games in 480p back then and didn't realize it was low quality
Your monitor was probably 800x600, so it looks decent
the last part with artosis is so nice. Really shows how much of a good guy he is.
artosis kinda cursed himself :D
TEARS STREAMING DOWN MY FACE. So cute, the relationship between tasteless and day9 is so amazing.
Wow great job, this is like the "documentary" the original guy who uploaded the footage wanted to make :D
not really, but still much better than just watching it in the raw form
I had no idea Day9 and Tasteless were brothers damn
+Jason Fontaine of course they are, you fucking shit
+NAPSTERUK00 you are idiot ?
NAPSTERUK00 sorry bro
They're known as the Plott brothers, you should look up their masturbation story its really funny xD
Such fantastic personalities these people have.
Is it just me or was this really well edited until the last 4 min or so? Feels like you lost motivation there in the end. Still great cut, thanks! :)
If tasteless didnt get paired with day9 first round he would most likely would have pass round 1 and wouldn't have went up to start casting and would have never been spotted as a caster. And then the Tastosis casting archon may not have ever happen. They may not have released it then but what happen here was a key moment is Esports history.
hits so close to heart... you can tell they took the game with so much passion. wouldn't have any other people casting my games of sc2 than these three.
10:26 - The infamous Artosis Alien Pinky.
Thank you very much for this edited version!
"Maybe I can do it in Singapore or something, actually I'm going to go and talk to them, I'll brb".
And thus began an era of English Starcraft casting.
2 peoples parents obviously didn't love them when they were growing up, this is a piece of fucking esports history that nobody can forget
I shed man tears in this video.
This was really well made! Good job!
This was great :) Felt the goose bumps at the end
This video is amazing , great job man!
Amazing edit
This is beautiful.
Thank you for this :D
Thank you for this! Loved to see this.
What a great video! I recognized the guy who beat me in Miami, the protoss badass, pyrrhus
This is a fantastic editing job. +1
Artosis' accent, lol
Plott brothers, and soon artosis, making history which becomes a legacy across the fucking planet in eSports. Amd artosis paired with Tasteless was recipe for success for so many years. Tastosis, the casting Archon!
Lol redbull makes him throw up and now he is the face of Redbull in Starcraft 2
you make me smile, you make me cry, you are... THE BEST... DAY[9]
Wow... this story was just beautiful...
Day9 and Tastless... Wow.. epic brothers!
"the bunker fell like butter"
OMG this is so good! im heartbroken and happy at the same time
I scroll down because this is really touching and im ashamed that i wanna cry for wathcing this...
I drove 50 miles to be in the WCG 2003 qualifier in redondo beach California and this video is the best Day9 video i have ever seen. I had no idea that he had 350 apm. Nor that he played to as high of a level the game i played from 1999-2003.
Have to say that is such a great feeling knowing that Artosis is now living his dream, he has had a harder life then most.
Awesome documentary
young day9 ^^
i remember watching daily #100 , it's my fav i saved it ^^ such awesome touching and epic tales........
If that was now it woulda been like " i work well under pressure so it aint no thanggg no humpty dumpty" i love day[J]
Well edited.
10/10
Enjoy the 99% like percentile
Damn man...... that bunker did fall like butter
this is a nicely made vid bro
What a little sweetheart artosis was... contrary to what he's become LOL
God I feel HORRIBLE for Artosis I just want to hug that poor man.
Very well made
Poor Artosis :(
13:00 minute casting- You can hear the disdain for Tasteless in the other caster's voice. That sting of "Ok, I get it- you just replaced me. Fuck you, I don't care anymore."
This is such a good video.
Starcraft was so beautiful back then.. the game and the community
oh man how i missed that music in the end and those sound effects ingame... sc2 is great, don't get me wrong... but sc is still my first love!
great video editing!
lol mick foley makes me chuckle every single time
Day9 looked realy nice in 2005. Now he most changed of three and looks like near 40.
Sean vs tasteless... waow.. its like a movie.. like brother vs brother.. WAOW.
And then, few years later, sadtosis was even more sad because he lost that one, crucial pylon...
How am I just seeing this now?! I've watched Day9's "my life of starcraft" twice in the last 13 years but never have seen this behind the scenes footage. You can see Artosis still salty AF after a lose but more conservative and less jaded here. The hair styles, dyed blue hair and frost tipped I remember those phases, there was also the gelled up cowlick look as well. Good times. Cable internet was becoming a standard and flip phones were becoming a thing. I feel blessed to grow up in that rare time where technology was just taking off. Now a days everything is completely fucked and people are so sensitive, i feel like the whole "everybody get's a medal" point in time was the begining of the end.
I got choked up.
Made me think of my brother and I. :,)
Dat tooth tho
That's a heart broken Artosis.
You're a champ bro!
1:29 THE KNOWLEDGE AND CONFIDENCE...
How did I not hear the Sonic Adventure 2 boss theme in the background the first time I watched this?
I've never even played SC2 and I found this touching :))
This is brood war not sc2
Sick job
I've wanted to do the same thing. I don't have the resources.
Good job on the editing. Feels like a documentary. well..it kinda' is. xD
I'm happy that Day9 Artosis and Tastless can make a living at SC2, after working so hard at SCBW.
Good job, bro!
All i see in this video is a bunch of freaking cool people all around
Happy Birthday Sean
15 years later artosis looks identical
this is so epic!
@mrstone56 IK right, damm, the last part with artosis really got me..
and Tasteless is like the Han Solo, and Artosis is one of the Empire guys in the grey suits?
i like the editing :)
sniffle, so beautiful
Tasteless' voice is so different. did that change from smoking?!
@soradakey oh yeah, didnt realize it was a replay
Feel so sad for Artosis :(
I wish they all were playing as a pro gamer right now :/ this was touching
love ya d9
One of the best and most inspiring things I've ever seen in my life.
Such a game video! possibly make another when the time comes?
@penquinftw yes. he played around 350 apm at that tournament.
