    Oh wow, that's wild the stuff we take for granted. I don't think I've ever been somewhere where you can't use a washing machine, would definitely be a cool experience going somewhere like that and give you a good perspective on everything that we take for granted!

      Absolutely right! That's what I love about traveling - seeing the world from different angles... also what's interesting is in a lot of the "poor" third-world countries, you realise people are "rich" with tradition, relationships and are much happier... so it definitely puts things in perspective, beyond just the material stuff in life!

    The suitcase you used at 7:33 look so nice, can you share what brand/item that is?

      Hi! It's a Samsonite and it's the spinner (4-wheel) version of this one: geni.us/samsonite-paradive thanks for watching! (I hope it's available where you are)

      Hey Jose! Yeah - many yoga retreats tend to take place in beautiful surroundings... and some also combine them with other activities if you're looking for something more fun. I mean I've heard of 'yoga and wine' retreats (LOL)... but there are also more wholesome active activities you can combine yoga with: surf/ SUP, hiking, BMX'ing, etc. You can have a mooch around on this site that aggregates some of the best retreats in the world and you can filter according to number of days/ what the focus is, etc: www.bookyogaretreats.com/?aid=6438

    Looks like a fun retreat Jaime, relaxing and peaceful! Glad you shared this one with us, might be helpful in the future! You explained everything so well and why we need those, thank you!❤

      It was a much needed timeout indeed… but it definitely took a while to let go of the daily pattern of rushing around to get from place to place in order to get as much in during the day! 😂

    Hi Jaime, I LOVE your videos and actually found my all time favourite, Manduka PROLite mat thanks to your lovely reviews! This video is very helpful for a Winter yoga retreat, but I was wondering if you could possibly do a video for a Summer retreat (with flights instead of driving) for someone who doesn't like to wear leggings or shorts. I am also wondering how one should dress on the 20hr flight to not look like I am going to a yoga retreat even though that is primarily the clothing in my suitcase? Thank you so much, keep doing what you do!

    • @jaimetan
      @jaimetan  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ha! Great questions… and thanks for the video idea! I’ll put it in my list for upcoming videos. For now - I’d just dress comfy for the flight. Sweatpants are always a plus! Nike does “tech fleece” joggers that are a little “smarter” since they’re thicker and hold their shape (I’ve been in client meetings in my tech fleece pants) and are stretchy so can also still be used as PJ’s or for yin yoga. Any clothing that can serve multiple uses is a plus in my book. “Athleisure wear” - comfort first!

    Hi! Why do you carry 3 blocks (2 regular and one unblock) instead of carrying 2 unblocks? Thankyou for your vídeos. Are really usefull for me.

    • @jaimetan
      @jaimetan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because if I’m using the unblok under my spine/ back in supine poses, it’s nice to have a regular block supporting under each knee, for example. Eg. Supine butterfly: I have each knee/thigh supported by a regular block and I have the unblok under my spine/ shoulders.

    • @adrianablancoduran6741
      @adrianablancoduran6741 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much! If i had to choose only carrying two, wich one would be better? Two unblocks or two regular blocks? Thanks!

    • @jaimetan
      @jaimetan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@adrianablancoduran6741 you could definitely use the unblocks as regular blocks too so I’d go for that option. 👍

    Love when you share your thoughts. What brand is your yoga strap?

    • @jaimetan
      @jaimetan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Rita! Thanks so much for watching! The mat strap is by a local Dutch brand called Love Generation and you can find it here: www.yogashop.nl/en/yoga-mat-sling-jungle-love-generation.html I love it as it's really thick and sturdy - great for the thicker/ heavier Manduka mats.

    I’m going on my first retreat ever with my service dog in March. I’m trying to figure out minimalistic packing so I can use one suitcase for me and my service dog

    • @jaimetan
      @jaimetan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ooh! That’s amazing for both you and River! And yes I can imagine with dog food, treats, toys, blanket etc it can certainly add a load more! Perhaps check for other videos on “what to pack for traveling dogs” to get ideas on how others pack for their dogs too? Then you can do a combo between those vids and this? 😬
      Have such a great time on your retreat! 🙌
