it’s crazy how i always thought it was so hard to play sikamikaniko based off the older tab for it on this channel. now seeing how you’ve changed it to be open D and G string to a hammer on to the 3rd and 5th frets, it’s a lot easier. i remember from the Funky Monks doc the part where they were making the song, and recording it. you can literally see John play the same open D and G strings, to hammering on the 3rd and 5th just like this tab. so accurate
Honestly I find it harder to play it with the open strings because I have to strum very precise. With the other way it's easier for me to mute unwanted strings 😁 but yes, I watched the video you are talking about and that's why I played it like this
John frusciante. our guitar hero who influences the world with his unique guitar playing style and brings us the magic of his brilliant sound from Fender Stratocaster!
Every song I've wanted learn in the last year I've found on your channel. You upload so fast. Every tutorial is easy to grasp, clear+concise. There isn't anyone else on TH-cam doing this at your level. You are dedicated+meticulous. Down to each piece's tone. Your channel is flawless, thank you so much for the work you put in so that we can watch and learn. You've made it so accessible for guitarist's everywhere and it is so appreciated out here!
Thanks man! Glad you liked this. I should definitely play more songs at the original tempo. I'm getting out of shape with all these slow lessons haha 😆
Just wanted to say you are an absolute legend for figuring out these riffs and posting them here. That chorus of Funky Monks has been a complete mystery until today!
Before I watched this video, yes... I heard the Red Hot Chili Peppers a lot, but sometimes I doubted about his guitar playing, and this video deletes all the doubts I had. This guy doesn't come with anything repetitive or boring, he always brings textures to guitar playing, strange chords between riffs, fantastic solos, and so much more. His style is unique. Fantastic guitar player, I underappreciated him for a long time, and these type of videos makes him shine more and keep people paying attention to his style of playing. Wonderful.
Nikola how do you record guitars? I really like your stratocaster tone. Can you tell me your general settings? Do you use an ampli or a digital system? I really like the bridge tones, here.
Damn bro that was nice 😎not to be bias but that taste the pain was funky as all heck!! 🔥Plz do a follow up on that jam I need to get that in my brain total80s experience who else is with 4:37 ide Venmo for that for sure let me know!!!
Nikola is doing his best job, but I want to give a humble advice. Funky strumming aren't good to learn with tabs. Learn 16 subdivision and try to mute on different subdivision and feel the groove. That's how you learn it first. Tabs ain't the best option.
Not enough people talk about Turn it again, that song is insane
That song is completly solo perfection extra vaganza🔥🔥🔥
Certified banger
sad they never played that live
John just rips through that whole song
@@nkmethlab fuck it they can bring me on stage if they need more guitars I just wanna hear it
John is a genius. One of the most talented guitarists ever.

"unique" yeah not hendrixesque at all
@@Kurtis11266 Yes, I think John is unique, mainly his stage performances. Hendrix was an influence but he played the blues, not the funk.

Wow, Nikola! You're a beast when playing on full speed ❤ You nailed flawlessly all of them with such grace... Power of equality and Sikamikaniko are 💯

Thanks for watching man! Happy to help 🙂
Finally some taste the pain recognition! My favorite song for gym❤
You inspire through my lifelong journey with guitar, thank you so much man. If you made a video about gear/software you use it would be amazing.
Thank you! There is nothing much I can talk about gear. On most videos I use very simple Guitar rig 5 presets through an audio interface 😁
Just realized this one part of 'Taste the pain' must've inspired bass solo of 'Zitti e buoni'.
Mother's milk was a really funky album !
One of the tops
Amazing job Nikola!

I also really like My Lovely Man + John’s improvising at Rock am Ring 04
Holy shit dude that outro on that song sounds so good. I like the outro from throw away your television in slane castle.

You're The Best!!! Too bad i just sold my guitar...
I was hoping to see some stuff off the new albums, like she’s a lover or tippa my tongue, but great picks still!
Rhcp - give it away
Bravo Nikola
Thank you!
I love you
what kind of pickups are you using? sounds great
Thank you! These are the stock pickups the guitar came with. They are called Texas Special
love your sound! you play via computer or an amp?
any video about tone?
Smoooooth fretboard criminal 😁👍
isnt higher ground Josh's riff?
Higher ground is a song by Stevie Wonder. The chili peppers covered it with John for the Mother's Milk album
Can you please tell me what amplifier you are using and what pedals?
Hey, can you do whole song "Taste the Pain", by the way You are f amazing ❤
Предобро! Џон е невероватен талент, но исто сте и вие! Секоја чест! 🤘🏻🔥
Фала Андреј! Баш ми е драго што ти се свиѓаше видеово 😁
yeaaah taste the paaaaaaaaaaiiiiin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It would be great to see the same high-quality lessons on Muse songs in the future
Awesome
What do you for your tone? Pro rig? Please drop if so!
I use only Guitar Rig 5. Nothing fancy 🙂
Thanks 👍👍🌷🌷
Hello I have a question. Which guitar radius would fit the most of John's songs?
You mean like a neck radius? I have no idea to be honest haha It doesn't matter much if you ask me
Taste my pain complete tab pleaseee :(
I need a guitar lesson for Taste the Pain! Been trying to do it for years but I think I'm not that good😢
Fruscante’s spider fingers😮
Rhcp are the shit, John is a very underrated guitar player and so is Josh!
Please do Over Funk
what is the gear you use to get all those amazing classic rock tones ( Beatles,Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Guns and Roses)
Just an audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2) and Guitar Rig 5. Nothing fancy 😁
what monitors are you using

is it only me or Zitti E Buoni sound similar to Taste the pain? I wouldn't be surprised since Thomas is heavily inspired by John
