  • Can you buy a really high quality UK legal EDC knife for less than £40? Well up until now I would have said probably not... Enter the Atlas. A quality slipjoint with a sub 3" blade. It has all the features of knives that cost twice the price and quality materials. Do not miss out on this limited run!!

    I am from Germany and have been looking for §42a konform knives, which is pretty similar to UK-legal. By your videos about Twisted Assisted and especially this one about the Atals I found Twisted Assisted. I just ordered an Atlas with PVD blade and copper scales, I love how this ages, which I have been looking for for 2-3 month now.
    Can't believe that Twisted Assisted isn't known more over here!

    Corr the timing of your video and the release of the Atlas couldn’t be better.
    I’ve been looking for a new EDC knife; black pocket clip, slip joint - not a detent, micarta scales and one handed opening and of course UK legal.
    Just ordered one! £45 is a bonkers good bargain! Thanks for this buddy. Much appreciated

    Are there any disadvantages of this compared to the Junzai?
    Other than the blade and handle shape I can't really tell what the differences are and why there's a difference in price
    Also ngl, I'm not a big fan of the logo stamped on the blade. It might be hard to explain to a police officer how a skull and gasmask differs from "zombie" branding

    Apart from being cool and maybe useful for self defence isn't a non locking mutlitool a better choice most of the time

    • @thatgearguy
      @thatgearguy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends I guess. Personally I dont want the weight of a multitool in my pocket all day. I keep one in my car and a small knife in my pocket. Best of both worlds.

    • @nickdsnik1675

    *Just as Sikhs can carry a blade for religious reasons, shouldn't Christians reclaim their right to carry a sword for religious reasons? As Britain is a Christian nation and does it not state in the Bible - Luke 22:36 that Jesus said "Sell your cloak and buy a sword."? If taken to court, could one swear on the Bible and use said Bible as evidence to support their right of claim? Shouldn't one also buy a cloak, then sell it to buy a sword therefore following Jesus's words to the letter?* 😀

      Let me guess, you're from USA where everyone carries weapons? Nice. Definitely a better setup you have over there. Of course your murder rate per capita is 6x higher than the UK, but it's safer, right..?

    • @GUITARTIME2024
      @GUITARTIME2024 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MPD90 much of that murder rate is gang related (killing each other). For example, my American city of 500k has about 30-40 homicides a year. 90 percent are blacks killing blacks. And what you DONT understand is how many crimes are prevented by firearms in America. I'm not a gun guy, but last I heard, British people can't legally carry pepper spray, and if someone breaks in their house, there's big legal trouble if the scumbag criminal gets killed. You people have zero rights. Don't get me started on police coming to your door about "anti trans" posts. The UK is done. Farage for PM, lefty !!!

    Do you mind asking how much you work with the knife before making a review?
    All I can see is that it is a brand new knife , so...

    • @thatgearguy
      @thatgearguy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on the knife and its intended purpose. In this case about a week of use as it was intended. For the Parry fixed blade about a month of heavy work. Nobody is going to be batoning a slip joint through firewood. They will do light daily tasks like opening boxes, cutting tape ect. That doesnt leave many use marks.

      I don’t know where you live but in the UK we have very strict knife laws which severely limits what you can carry. The blade has to be 3 inches or less, folding & non-locking. Hence why this video has ‘UK EDC’ in the title. The Delica you mention can’t be carried in public for EDC.

      @@johnporterfield7523 the video is referring to EDC. I don’t class things I need for work as an EDC. Sure you can carry them to and from work or for other ‘good reasons’ but you couldn’t carry it in your pocket on your lunch break and head into town with it.
