I've been watching your channel for awhile now and the thing I've noticed that you're the only one who embraces and feels the most important aspect of a game. Other channels seem to care more about the story or graphics granted everyone likes good graphics and story arcs but the core of each game should be centered around its game like ninja gaiden and that's why I keep coming back to your channel thanks Dan

Agreed. NGB's gameplay was so ahead of its time. Heck, i think it still holds up even today compared to some games. Happy to hear you're still playing it!

I think you if you combined NG2's damage system with NGB the enemies would die too fast. NG2's damage system was designed with the idea that there would be a lot more enemies on screen.
dangavsterGAMES Me too, as long as it didn't get to the point where enemies started attacking from off screen like in RE and NG2. Not that that was a huge problem, but it was still annoying in my humble opinion.
I like more less enemies and better combat, than more enemies who dies quicker. I have finished all ninja gaidens in master ninja, and i still don understand how people like so much ninja gaiden 2 from 360. It just for the blood? I even like more sigma 2 because it is more clean and you see better whats going on. The best ninja gaiden, to me, is NG black. The razors edge comes in second place, and ninja gaiden 2 in third place because i dont like the feeling of the combat. It feels like a Dinasty Warrior with blood, not like the first ninja gaiden where the techniques were important and everithing was more clear. In Ninja Gaiden 2 there are too much enemies, blood, splosions, kunais, etc everywhere. It is very chaotic, and sometimes very tedious. Still great game, but not as great as NG Black. By the way. Bayonetta 1 & 2 needs to be here, if you are a fan of hacks and slashs.
I don't think RE is better than NG2; not even a close competition, but that's just me. However I do like Black the best with NG2 a close second. The only problem I have with NG2 is the goddamn Incendiary shuriken spam. I find the game nearly unplayable on higher difficulties because of it. I haven't beaten NG2 on Master Ninja to this day.
Your vids awesome. Your love and excitement for the game really shines through. Freakin' love this game. Pity you don't use the nunchuks more, but the DS is just as cool. Though the Kitetsu nearly matches the TDS.

Great run, mate. Granted, it's presently 2021 as I'm commenting this tip (which you've no doubt heard by now), but the most ideal way to take out the emperor boss before Murai is to wait for his "skull spider" form to start sending all his skulls in mass, then activate your "Inferno" Ninpo. While Ryu is charging up his fireball, all the skull converge upon him and blow like flys to a napalm bug zapper, and when finished, Ryu launches the fireball at the lead skull. Rinse and repeat (while using Ninpo items) and the boss is toast in minutes. No lie, I thought that that was why you were focusing on getting the "Inferno" Ninpo maxed out first before the others. You're still way better at this game than I ever was at my finest, but I just wanted to send the shout out regarding this matter. Again, great vid, mate, keep rocking on!

I would freaking love an open world ninja gaiden game where you explore with the parkour and acrobatics of an assassin’s creed game but with the combat of a Ninja Gaiden game. I’m so with you on that
I wouldn't say it was the dismemberment or randomness in 2 that makes me prefer 1 overall. I think it's just the first game's depth and breaking up of the monotony via a Zelda-style explorative world that I took as super engaging and easy to become invested in. You can backtrack and even come up with exploits for extra Life of the Gods. Also, despite having some of the best action for a hack n slash game ever, most of those kinds of games are very linear, and the first Ninja Gaiden found a way to incorporate a lot of adventure elements without it being detrimental to what else makes a Ninja Gaiden game great. I think I also just understand that combat system better. I still love Ninja Gaiden II. Depends on my mood
The dismemberment was great in 2 but I hear ya on that with the whole exploration aspect of the game. H&S games are too linear but the gameplay makes up for it. I loved the combat system in 2 because they kept the same combos but also added to them which made for an even more fun combat system. Overall this has to be the best H&S game! Forget what you know about DMC and GOW or Bayo, NG is where it's at!
@@KayNKonami Sigma also has its fair share of problems when compared to NG Black. It's aimed at being a lot more flashy, and as a result you get three issues: 1. The roll animations were changed, so there's now a back flip which introduces a bit of lag for someone who is used to playing NG Black, and the backflip leaves you open to grapple attacks if you time it wrong. 2. There's input lag in general that makes the Reverse Wind (rolling) not trigger all the time. Sometimes, you have to very deliberately push the analog stick to get any kind of response. Surrounded by multiple enemies that can easily take you down individually, you wind up flailing for response from Ryu, and take a load of damage. Plus, due to this same lag, your block doesn't always trigger. I'm not referring to enemy attacks that break your guard. I mean quite clearly holding the block button, and a basic sword slash from a chapter 1 enemy on Normal Mode taking a chunk out of your health. 3. Because of all of the HD graphics, the game has twice as many load screens, and a lot of these in bad areas. Two prime examples: - in chapter 1, when you face the room of the enemies coming out of the walls, there is a load screen for the pit. However, the game's first save room is right past that pit and the game hangs if you come anywhere near the pit. On something like Very Hard or Master Ninja, this is frustrating if you're just trying to save the game. - in chapter 6 (on the way to the church) there is an alleyway with a trio of Black Spider Clan ninjas that appear out of nowhere as you round the corner. The game loads RIGHT when you would try a Flying Swallow or Guillotine Throw, usually botching the move and leaving you open to a quick death if you don't recover in time.
OMG OMG, One of my Favorite Ninja Gaiden Games of all Time. Aside from NES Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, NG Black was the first 3D Ninja Gaiden that I ever played. I loved every moment of this game and had fun even on the harder difficulties.

LOL I load up on elixirs and risk those spider ninjas to get them first thing, in this area, every time. One of these days, I want to try an all nunchuk run from the first point you get them. They're so good for farming essence right there on the clock tower stairs, too.

I could look up other videos, but other NG videos don't carry the level of entertainment that comes from listening to you getting all pumped and feeling like a badass whenever you either pull of an Izuna drop or just clobber the shit out of enemies. Also good to hear you're a fan of Final Fantasy XIII. You should do a playthrough of that.
yo Dan, i was just rewatching this. I have a question if someone makes a letsplay video of a game. How do they avoid copyright strike? do they lower the ingame music or mute it?
If lowering it doesn't help, muting it might be the only way to go. It happened a lot with my Conker videos back in the day, and I ended up having to remove some of them.
One thing (amongst others) I want them to bring back in NG4 is the Fire Wheels ninpo. I know most people don't like that one, but personally I prefer that one over any other in the first game. It's really good against the ghostfish on master ninja (because they appear while fighting against spectral Doku) and versus most enemies. The inital animation provides an invincibility frame so at least it also has that. + it just looks fucking cool with the fire spinning around you while you do badass combos with the sword or the staff. And yeah I know Momiji has a variation of that ninpo in NG3RE, but it's just not the same :c Another thing I want back in NG4 is the Vigoorian Flail ;_; ... and the Tonfas...
After killing the skeleton dragon thing you couldve went back to muramasa shop at the surface out side of the monastery he lets you upgrade it early i didnt know until today
I think I may be the ONLY one who just noticed Alma's image in the stain glass. Or maybe that's in Sigma. Can't see it in this play but I thought that was a cool visual addition.
Ninja gaiden games are allot better then dark souls games that have a silly sword fighting that have no adrenaline to injoy, and the good news is this year they will release this game for the PC
I was hyped by it to begin with, and honestly, my interest was diminished over time and a bit more so after seeing the newest trailer, but I wouldnt really want to pass judgement on the game unless i got to experience and FEEL the melee combat in it. But, unfortunately, since i've no plans to get a Wii-U i'll probably never play the game.
It depends on what time It unlocks on steam for download, and how long that takes (on my slow internet connection). And of course, it depends on what's going on that day. It's not tomorrow either, its Thursday the 10th according to steam.

Hey man, not sure if you even check this channel anymore, but I really think you should play this game again on the Xbox one. It has anti aliasing and it runs at a silky smooth 60fps. In my opinion it feels like a brand new game again. I think you would enjoy it a lot. I hope you see this and decide to come back to TH-cam. I really miss seeing new content.

4:40:50 yes bc once you hit a 30 hit combo it starts to become a yellow essence with hig value especially with the benediction armlet

Someone said it before but yeah you can control the camera. You just click the right thumbstick in to switch from 1st to 3rd camera control.

I think I may be the ONLY one who just noticed Alma's image in the stain glass. Or maybe that's in Sigma. Can't see it in this play but I thought that was a cool visual addition.

Ninja gaiden games are allot better then dark souls games that have a silly sword fighting that have no adrenaline to injoy, and the good news is this year they will release this game for the PC

I was hyped by it to begin with, and honestly, my interest was diminished over time and a bit more so after seeing the newest trailer, but I wouldnt really want to pass judgement on the game unless i got to experience and FEEL the melee combat in it. But, unfortunately, since i've no plans to get a Wii-U i'll probably never play the game.

Man ! you can control the camera by using the right thumb stick you press the R3 it switches how you can control it ,,, at min. 8 or so
for those red dinosaur thingys my tip is to use the dabilaro, doing its only x combo and then y at the end finishes them immediately

It depends on what time It unlocks on steam for download, and how long that takes (on my slow internet connection). And of course, it depends on what's going on that day. It's not tomorrow either, its Thursday the 10th according to steam.

Hey man, not sure if you even check this channel anymore, but I really think you should play this game again on the Xbox one. It has anti aliasing and it runs at a silky smooth 60fps. In my opinion it feels like a brand new game again. I think you would enjoy it a lot. I hope you see this and decide to come back to TH-cam. I really miss seeing new content.

I used the dragon sword on the electric eels and just neutral jumped/horizontal jumped over them whenever they did that side sweep.
