One of my favorite games of all time, in case you can't tell by my gamer tag. It was such an accomplishment for me to beat it on Master Ninja. This runner plays it on a whole other level than i ever did Good shit man!
Oddly enough for me I consider NG to be in my top games of all time that I have owned and collected over the years. I say oddly cause even though they are my favorite to play and watch I still havent beaten any of my ng games! I own all versions practically even the Atari lynx version! I miss the acrobatic flipgrabs! The hockey masked muscleheads were a pain! Only ng game I beat was ng for NES! Only cause I emulated my copy and had save states! I hated dying near the endgame cause it would make me replay way to far back! Owned NG nes since release day. Paid $49.99 for it! I was in 5th grade! I saved for almost 3 months! Anyways since NG2 and 3 r.e. recently became reverse compatible I installed them immediately on my xbox x! I now am figuring which version first? NG black or NG sigma. I know the differences but I will not play both. For original feel people tell me black. I have been indecisive for weeks now and havent even started. I am finally gonna bite the bullet and play n beat all of em!
For phantom fish, equip nunchucks/flails, tap weak attack several times, just don't complete the combo, neutral jump, hit light attack once, drop to the ground, rinse and repeat until the Karma timer shows you've completed the enemy wave. You don't have to move around because they all come for you in waves, and so long as you keep steadily swinging your weapon, they can't attach to you at all, makes farming them for essence almost too easy.

Hardest damn game I've beaten. I haven't even touched Master Ninja. Beat it on Very Hard, threw my hands up in the air victoriously, and fell backwards onto my parents living room floor just mentally drained... and this is one of my favorite spectacle fighters of all time.
@@mugenfiji0327 I wouldn't say he sucks he just needs to time the bosses attacks and get more training in ngb. But some ninja gaiden fans do overly hype up players that is not good.
You probably already know this but for those who dont an easy quick way to kill alma is to inferno ninpo when shes about to throw her first pillar or on start up. You will always knock her out of the sky and can wail on her. Only takes like 4 or 5 on master ninja to kill(depending on et or just niritti)

Great run but I have to say, enemy combat could use a little refining imo. I know this isn't a super competitive category but you could save alot of time by cutting down on menu usage as well... That being said I'm just a nobody who can't even beat it on master ninja, so do what's comfortable to you, y'know? Again, great run. Loved watching it. I look forward to seeing improvements

Please feel free to do your own runs and add them to the ngb leaderboards on speedrun.com and show how a real pro pulls off these runs. Much like every other trashtalker that has showed up, I don't think you'll be doing anything.
Smoke bombs are available at any shop. They aren't available in the original Ninja Gaiden. NGB is a remake in a sense. It's basically a refined version of Hurricane Pack 1.

Oh...this is the first game I can’t beat the boss. I can beat master ninja in ninja gaiden2 and 3,but this game’s hardest mode is like hell! Especially... Alma is too fucking annoying and almost have no weak points. See her fly and throw big stuff on your face all day long🤬🤬🤬
People are so impressed by these 'runs' but forget the player spent 1000's of hours being an anti social hermit playing this crap over and over and over just to 'achieve' this and the only prize is no friends ...

I just beat this game yesterday and the worst enemy in my opinion is the phantom fish and those cat people you face in the 4th boss mission
Ghost fish yeah, they are horrible. I've beaten this game dozens of times (Mostly normal difficulty), but those remain the worst.

This was done on Xbox One. I'll be updating this run with a faster time later this month. Goal is to improve the time by 30 minutes.
