Its older people his age who gave us punk n rock n roll. Look up ages of og punk bands and rock bands like the stones n zeppelin n shit. I dunno how old this man is but, alot of the old punk bands are pushing 60 or in their 60s already (and older) . Same with classic rock bands Like real classic rock bands.
@@AuntieNita74 My dad is roughly the same age and if it wasn't for him I'd be a twat in a knockoff 'Nirvaina' tshirt 😂 Instead, I have *My Dad*. Literally forgot my sister's name after a coma but wouldn't stop singing 'Space Oddity'.
The first electric guitar was invented in 1931 so they did have electric guitars during WWII. Now, whether or not they had those specific models back then I do not know.
After you know more about the members of the band, it gets even sadder. The man who dies in this video- Mikey Way- is actually the younger brother of the singer, Gerard Way. It not only shows the terrors of war, it also shows a brotherly bond, and it's just so flipping sad it gets me crying every time. Eep! -Lucille
Yeah this is my favorite music video they've ever done. I never could imagine the pain of losing a sibling. I feel like Gerard let himself get so into the acting that he, for a moment, actually felt he just watched his little brother die. His face is so heartbreaking. He and Mikey have helped each other through a lot of difficult moments in their lives from what I've come to understand.
This video will always.. ALWAYS make me cry not only bc it shows what people went through in the war, but also shows how close Mikey and Gerard are, and how they don't want to loose each other, apparently Gee only filmed Mikeys death once because he didn't want to see it happen again Im not entirely sure but it's still such a sad yet beautiful video
The chorus says: "You're never coming home, never coming home Could I? Should I? For all the wounds that are ever gonna scar me For all the ghosts that are never (ever?) gonna catch me"
There were electric guitars as early as 1932, ten years before the US entered WWII, however the war slowed the development of many industries so the electric guitars we are familiar with were not around until the 50's.
This song always hits hard,a friend of mine recently died and this song came on and I just bawled. I listened to this song so much when I was younger but never having any emotions to place with it and now that I have it just shows how beautiful the song truly is and how music can really reach your soul no matter what
This has always been one of my favorite music videos and songs. It really is very powerful (as much of mcr's stuff is). You should consider maybe googling the lyrics of the songs afterwards, as they speak volumes on their own :)
+Weenerd Hills I bet they do- listening to what I can hear and seeing what I can see tells me they have DEEP lyrics- I will check them out, try to read them.
+Lucille Elliott Both wonderful ideas :) It'll be over a week before I can so don't freak out! But i WILL get to them, promise! Take care and have a great day!
Electric guitars were created in 1931 ;) I'm sure someone had probably pointed that out below but I thought i'd look it up myself since I didn't know, You prompted that curiosity! This is one of my favorite songs ever, I remember when it came out when I was in high school. Very powerful indeed. Brings back some bittersweet memories of my first love leaving me to join the army :(
I don’t know how you can watch it with little feeling. All it makes me remember is the friends my parents lost and the ones I lost in the Vietnam war. Depressed no. Learn from it yes.
the guy who died was mikey and that's the bassist anf the brother of the singer and that's why the singer was freaking out because he just witnessed his brother die.
the saddest thing about that video is that gerard’s (the lead singer) orders were what sent mikey (bassist, the person who died, and gerard’s brother) to his death
This song has a pretty big story behind it. This is one of their songs off of their Revenge album, which circles around the aspect of loss. A fact that makes that strengthens the aspect of loss: the guy who dies in the video is the lead singer's younger brother...this is the point where everyone listens to their happy party songs. *wipes away tear* :/
+Kitty Katja I'm a much greater fan of dark songs with depth and feeling and story instead of light and "I love this person!/I want to have sex with someone!". Please, I like a song with THOUGHT.
+NearlySeniorCitizen Yetagamer i wish the young people of today had the same mentality about music like you do. Music is about feelin and actual story or thought, not butts or one night stands
gerard way, the singer, is a pacifist, so it makes sense for the video to be as impactful and dark as it is. there are no winners in war and senseless violence, no survivor escapes without burdens. i think the video does a pretty good job on showing that
Thank you for the love of god someone finally said what I was thinking. Enough with the war, if we all have the same beliefs in a God, and a world where we should have our own freedom. Then why continue taking each other's lives. Expand, learn and grow.
I think that last few moments showed someone suffering the beginnings of PTSD. It is my favourite MCR song, but yeah, definitely not a happy go lucky song at all. Pretty damn honest when you think about it though.
+Masquerade as Sane That was why I felt tears at the end. It wasn't so powerful I broke down in tears, or had tears fall (and when I have to cry I **CRY**- check my past videos- I cry at the drop of a hat) but my eyes teared at the end and I had water behind my lids.
Since you seem to be enjoying My Chemical Romance songs, I have compiled a list of some of there songs that you should definitely react to! This is in order of importance. They are my favorite band, and I really hope you react to these! Note: Not all of these have music videos to go along with them. If they do not, I will say so next to the song. 1. I Don't Love You 2. Disenchanted (No music video) 3. I'm Not Okay (I Promise) 4. Bulletproof Heart (No music video) 5. Helena 6. Sing 7. Planetary (GO!) 8. The Kid's From Yesterday 9. Teenagers 10. Dead! (No music video) I also highly suggest you react to some All Time Low songs! Yet again, these are in order of importance. And, yet again, I really hope you react to these songs! Note: I will still say if they have a music video or not by the song. 1. Kids in the Dark 2. Therapy (No music video) 3. Time-Bomb 4. Backseat Serenade 5. Remembering Sunday (No music video) 6. Old Scars/Future Hearts (No music video) 7. Weightless 8. The Reckless and the Brave (No music video) 9. Something's Gotta Give 10. Missing You (No music video) Thank you for reading through the list! I really hope you listen to all of these songs and react to them! I have plenty more that I would love to see you react to, but I figured that 10 from each band is sufficient for now! Hopefully you love all of these songs as much as I do!
+Tippy Plays MC THAT is a MEGA AWESOME comment and list! Thank you SO MUCH! Will do it all as soon as I can but it will take time- have a TON of new suggestions lately :) Take care, have a GREAT day!
+Lord Aquadian I know- amazing, isn;t it? It's also like how motorcycles were introduced back in like 1910 or something- weird to look at the old B&W photos of old-timey persons on their 1930 motorcycles :)
***** you too! And one more thing, I realized that I was wrong, and the first one was made in '31. And also, could you please react to the video Monument by Mutemath. Its a very beautiful video
+Lord Aquadian It's easy to get small data incorrect- our meat machines between our ears are GREAT but lo, the failings of the flesh :) I will check that song as soon as I can- thanks for the suggestion! And for watching, enjoying, and commenting!
Thank you so much for reacting to MCR :). You should react to "I don't love you", by them. Also, you should react to Melanie Martinez "Dollhouse" and "Little Game" Ben J Pierce. Take care!
I don't get when people say like heavy metal isn't real music its all music pop is just popular so people class something not pop as not real music why it's annoying
"I just wish that we as a species would just stop killing each other" that's tough
That shit hit deep too
It’s nice seeing older people listen to music like this and not say the music is too rock punk and the music of the devil lol
Its older people his age who gave us punk n rock n roll. Look up ages of og punk bands and rock bands like the stones n zeppelin n shit. I showed this video to my WWII vet grandpa when it came out. He watched it and recognized the boats. He's dead now. RIP Grandpa Norman.
enjoy as in "man that was depressing" basically describes the three cheers for sweet revenge album...
I don't know why but seeing his reaction videos makes me happy
I am very glad! That is quite cool! :) Take care and have a GREAT day!
lol same
"damn that was depressing" 😂
The first electric guitar was invented in 1931 so they did have electric guitars during WWII. Now, whether or not they had those specific models back then I do not know.
you are correct of
when they were invented. p.s I'm pretty sure the ones their using in the videos are 1941 models
The jazz box styles, yes. The bass, not so much
After you know more about the members of the band, it gets even sadder.
The man who dies in this video- Mikey Way- is actually the younger brother of the singer, Gerard Way. It not only shows the terrors of war, it also shows a brotherly bond, and it's just so flipping sad it gets me crying every time. Eep!

the coolest old guy ever
Fave part: "enjoy, as in that was damn depressing"
Yeah this is my favorite music video they've ever done. I never could imagine the pain of losing a sibling. Well...that's My Chemical Romance for...strong powerful emotional deep songs
You don't believe in God i don't believe in luck they don't believe in us but i believe for the enemy!!!!
“5 dollar pair of headphones from big lots if you’re in the US”
“Ya get what ya pay for”
Idk why but I legit crackled at that
We know, dude, it hurts. *sobs*
"loose"
The chorus says: "You're never coming home, never coming home
Could I? Should I?

A LOT of the tech we have was made surprisingly a long time ago. Motorcycle culture is OLD. Shucks, they had FAX MACHINES before the year 1900
Wow this guy is awesome an older folk still enjoying this kind of music
This song always hits hard,a friend of mine recently died and this song came on and I just bawled. I listened to this song so much when I was younger but never having any emotions to place with it and now that I have it just shows how beautiful the song truly is and how music can really reach your soul no matter what
This song is so emotional, and oh my god, I cry every time I watch or hear this song
Get this man some new head phones. He deserves them.
the fucking wave transition is beautiful
This has always been one of my favorite music videos and songs. It really is very powerful (as much of mcr's stuff is). You should consider maybe googling the lyrics of the songs afterwards, as they speak volumes on their own :)
+Weenerd Hills I bet they do- listening to what I can hear and seeing what I can see tells me they have DEEP lyrics- I will check them out, try to read them.
Omg, I absolutely loved this video! New subscriber
I laughed out loud when you said "depressing".
I'm also impressed by the song. It's the first time I see the video too. It's good.
I never not once not cried while watching the ghost of you video, its so emotional
I love this video and the song.
Same
+Hannah Duston me too
I think the takeaway can be summed up with the quote “I just wish we as a species would stop killing eachother”
one of my favorite music videos of all time

This songs music video costed the most for when it came out. Prior to this song, the most expensive song to create was Michael Jackson's "Thriller"
You have heard a couple “my chemical romances”
I love that

I don’t know how you can watch it with little feeling. All it makes me remember is the friends my parents lost and the ones I lost in the Vietnam war. Depressed no. Learn from it yes.
My Chemical Romance always had the most powerful music and the best music videos
the guy who died was mikey and that's the bassist anf the brother of the singer and that's why the singer was freaking out because he just witnessed his brother die.
Good sir! You are awesome!
You are officially my favourite reaction channel.
this is one of the greatest music video ever!

He's so precious!
that's what we call "emo" feeling. Even the old ones feels emo when they listen to MCR. The voice of Gerard Way is too powerful ❤
AGREED!! 100%!!
No matter how many times I watch this video I feel the same way you felt. Makes my heart hurt. Ghost if you is an amazing song.

I love this man
Electric guitars became a thing in the 20's and 30's but he's right, they wouldn't have ones like that back then, at least they weren't common.

this made my day
This is my favorite MCR song, without a doubt.
I like them a LOT.

love he's reaction to the song 😃😃
