You can connect to your machine as long as the app is up-to-date. Double-check that, and then follow the instructions given in the pamphlet. If that doesn't work, call us; we would be happy to help troubleshoot that for you! 866-936-3754 .Those are spare pieces, and you can hold onto them if you still need to put them in your filter!
Never use tap water as it contains minerals and can damage your device. Always use distilled water otherwise you can use any filtered or RO purified water.
