Also just to add on top of that, (not eNTIRELY sure if this is canon) but there was a Stranger Things comic book that showed Will's point of view during season 1 and it just sorta had Joyce's letters appear as she painted it on the wall. The theory about how the upside down version of Hawkins wasn't created by Vecna but instead Will would sorta explain why that version is still stuck in 1983 since it's something maybe he created?? I don't know, regardless it's a pretty small detail hopefully this sorta made sense pfftt

One expectation that I would incredibly like is for the party to be the main characters again. Mike, Will, Dustin and Lucas to be back together again. Lucas and Dustin basically became the side character. Mike used to be the leader in S1-S2 but is basically called "El's boyfriend" now. I'm glad Will will be more of the main character in S5 as he was ignored by almost everyone between S3-S4. I also would want Mike to have his redemption arc back of being a better friend to Will and everyone else. I hope in the end of the season the party would be reunited again like how they did in the beginning of S1-S2.

I had zero concern for Jonathan until this last season.
He's very close to Will in this upcoming season.
They made him a stoner. And he doesn't wanna go to a better college with Nancy who is leaning more towards Steve lately because of distance.
Thing is... Jonathan's character has developed attributes that DEvalue him to the show. He's grown distant to the main circle of friends.
Yet he remains a highly-emotional attachment to Will... the focus of Vecna in season 5.
Not to mention he's the only one left without a character arch or overcoming personally adversity.
Jonathan is on the chopping block now... we just haven't realized it.

Something got me thinking, that Max will live for the half of the season. She was the only one who got out the first time and survived of channeling her happy memories. If Mas is in Vecna's mind she might be the key to defeat him and reaching out to his 'human' side and force with his good memories, but I doubt that he has one or if not maybe their being close with Eleven since as Peter he was sort of like Eleven's mentor, so yeah that might defeat Vecna and the reason for Max to back to her body for the half of the season

I think Vecna is just evil, through and through. If he had happy memories, they would be of him killing his family or when he killed a bunch of kids at the Hawkins lab.
Max is going to be vital in taking down Veca. I think we'll see her reunited with her body. I'm unsure if I think she'll be fully paralyzed but I'm confident she'll be blind and in a wheelchair.

I don't think Steve will die. It's just they put a lot into Dustins reaction to Eddie's death. It may seem anticlimactic doing it again. I don't think Nancy will be end game with Jonathan though, but not sure about Steve

I think Jonathan will die in S5. They did dirty to Jonathan's character in S4 while forcing some Nancy-Jonathan tandem in some scenes. The only way they can make this happen is to kill Jonathan so they can be together. They do the same for Bob so Joyce and Hopper can be together.

When Hopper dies, Steve, a Fighter class like Hopper, will be elected sheriff. Someone has to defend the town, and Steve cares. He stayed back, not going to community college, watches over the youth, etc
The only thing I truly want out of season 5 is the other parents seeing all of the kids, Joyce and Hoper going up against the big bad superhero style. These reactions are more than needed and seeing them all learn the truth would be so impactful.

i think the upside down isn’t stuck in the past. when eleven made the first contact with a demogorgon, then hawkins was cloned, into the upside down. before it was what we saw in vecna’s flashbacks. its not stuck in the past, just a clone of hawkins at the time of eleven’s encounter with a demogorgon.

the only problem with this is that eleven has no memories of hawkins, let alone nov 6th 1983, although it is possible that the Demogorgon is connected to something in the real world like a person, perhaps brenner, so the Demogorgon would have memories of Hawkins perhaps.

Will sacrificing himself to save Mike or El would be the worst possible outcome for his character. Trite, contrived, annoying. The poor kid hasn’t had a moment’s peace or happiness in this show. Not to mention the optics of killing off the gay character in a storyline relating to his love. I’d prefer they do a fake-out where Will appears to play both sides to ultimately destroy Vecna in the end. Give him the chance to shine and be the hero. He deserves it.

I believe Will is going to sacrifice himself to either save El or Mike. Either he's gonna actually become Vecna's host and be evil for a few eps before he comes back to his normal self and saves everyone or he goes up against Vecna and dies a regular hero.
I feel he’ll sacrifice himself against the mind flayer.
I think they shot a lot of stuff for S5 already. There's that picture of Noah in a harness that never seemed to happen as well
My theory of how henry got his powers: remember the scene where hopper was talking to the russian about how they had to fight with chemical bombs or stuff and thats why his daughter had that illness that’s exactly how henry got his powers since his father fought in the war too
No babe. His dad fought in WW2 & Agent Orange was used in Vietnam (more on that later.) It appears powers come from the mother & we know 001 detested his mom for "doing bad things" & that she suspected his abilities. Perhaps she took LSD while pregnant, like the MKUltra test subjects (this is probably how Kali got powers outside the experiment.) Maybe she had powers she passed to him but wanted a normal life with ordinary, unspecial Victor. Or possibly, she took measures to make them stop, 50's psych style. Yikes. Whatever the case, we know he resents the hell out of his parents, seemingly his mother the most.
Now back to Agent Orange. My dad fought in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive when AO usage was at its' peak. He developed illnesses & passed others onto me & my sisters, all nongenetic w/zero family history. The VA acknowledged AO exposure was the cause & provided compensation until he died 3 weeks ago. He was 74. I bring it up because it was nice to finally see it represented in mainstream media. It not only further developed his character by explaining his headspace of guilt, pain & anger but also represented the tragic reality & negative effects endured by combat vets & their families, respectively. I appreciate it wasn't sensationalized & used merely for entertainment purposes. To credit something that has caused so much real-world pain as the source of a monster's make-believe powers would be exploitative & insensitive.

Hop's biological daughter didn't have powers. 2nd- The idea of it occurred during WW2 but it was never compounded or used. 3rd - I choose to believe that the Duffer Brothers have more respect for veterans & their families than to erroneously & irresponsibly exploit them for fictitious entertainment purposes.

I think Will will display "powers" which he didn't even know he had. There's a lot of hints pointing to Will being a wizard.
Calling it now Will is as powerful as Vecna if not more and Vecna knows it and that’s the reason he is/was after him.
Notice how Henry said to 11 that they can reshape the world however they want, when Henry enters the upside down its a new world full of cliffs and mountains but the town is then formed when Will enters, I believe this is because Will shaped the new reality into his home town since he wanted to go home with his brother and mom.
I believe Henry needed more power to cause something like that and noticed Will created the new Hawkins, I believe Henry was the one who was after Will not just the Demogorgen I also believe Henry was the one who caught Will and left him with the slug infecting him eventually turning him evil in s5
I think it will be another Possessed situation not Will being evil on purpose cause I think he’ll be the one to sacrifice himself to take down vecna

I love this guy’s videos bur he’s so far off the mark about max. Sadie got told at the start of the season that she’s going to die but also not die, so it was always the original plan, it wasn’t a cop out (there is an interview that confirms this)

The Duffers have said that they genuinely considered whether killing her off was a better ending than the fakeout, so no it wasn't set in stone. Sadie only would have been told what their plan was for her after they'd figured it out in the writers room, which the Duffers have admitted wasn't always a clear cut decision.
They said that when they sent out the script for episode 9
It’s a cop out cos it’s simply dangling a death in front of your face to be like “omg no” then just bring them back cos they’re too popular. They did the same with hopper. They make a big impactful scene that would’ve played out the same if he was actually dead…then reveal at the end of the season that he’s not dead and was captured by the Russians. But then they introduce new characters every season and kill them off with no qualms. It just becomes really cheap.
Of course I don’t wanna see max die. But don’t build up this amazing death scene and have Lucas in tears screaming; and max saying “I’m not ready to die” and then have her “die” so Vecna can get what he wants, and then El is like “nooooo” and pull some bullshit magic where she is now not dead.
I’m hoping Max leads an army of all the people Vecna “absorbed,”
inside his (Vecna’s) head to defeat him ……

I think when eleven brought Max back it was too late- her mind had already molded with vecna's...so even though her body is 'alive' her mind is still with Vecna- which is why el didn't see her in the hospital...i think a part of season 3 will either be explaining this- or Max trying to join her body, or El trying to help guide her or figure out how to get her mind to join her body again.
I feel like I'm not complete without season 5 , seems like i live in Hawkins and I'm afraid about my home ,it's just insane, we really need another season.

that bts of "eddie" isn't actually eddie! someone who worked on set said they filmed scenes of pulling bodies out of the rubble & that was one of them! all the scenes ended up being cut but it was just an unnamed citizen

I’m calling two things right now. 1. One of the ending scenes will be Steve and Nancy taking a vacation with six nuggets with them: Dustin, Mike, Will, Eleven, Lucas, and Max. Not their bio kids, obviously, but still within the framework and goes back to his speech with Nancy. 2. The spinoff will have to do with MK Ultra and all their experiments. There is a world of content to be had from this.

I would personally hate it if the Stancy v Jancy triangle is “resolved” by the death of Steve or Jonathan. I think too much time has been spent on that stupid triangle anyway. Ending of with one person because another person dies isn’t true love, it’s default due to the loss of an option.
I also kinda hate that the Byers family is suffering so much, while the Wheelers are only affected by proxy and their lives aren’t fundamentally changing. Jonathan wants to care for his mother and brother and is afraid of being his father, but Nancy is still going to her dream college and feels no responsibility for her family. The Wheelers didn’t even lose electricity after the “earthquake.”
But is Stancy is endgame, I think it’s a garbage thing for the Duffers to make Jonathan suffer more in order to rid Nancy of guilt.
If Will dies or turns evil, the Duffers are either paying tribute to the bury your gays or the gay monster tropes. Both are bad tropes.
It’s true that Will is the opposite of Henry. Henry is a self described predator. He drew the Mind Flayer because his mind created it. Will drew it because it was stalking him. Will himself created a rainbow ship.
That’s what makes this show good because it’s not focused on one thing.
I was onboard until you mentioned making Will evil would be a bad trope because reasons. Why can we not treat being gay as if being gay is irrelevant to who they are as a person or character? Like, why do we have to think about whether or not someone is gay if their character arc is to become a villain for reasons entirely unrelated to being gay?

When brenner is walking out of the room he was in with 010 you can see ten has no eyes
I watched the whole scene again a few days ago, and no we don't see 010's eyes... We just see him lying on the floor, in the exact same position of Brenner near him... That's why this theory is a little more possible than Alice Creel being Karen Wheeler, because we see her closer with her eyes imploded. Plus, when Eddie was talking with Chrissy in the woods, he mentioned he had his hair buzzed when he was in middle school.... Why this detail ?? The Duffers never put details with no reason... So here, there are good reasons to wonder and make theories ;-)

My spidey senses tell me that my favorite Stevie boy is gonna die the next season. Him opening up to Nancy and telling her about his biggest dreams is practically a death sentence! And we all know what happens to the likable characters once they introduce us to their future plans - they kick the bucket faster than they can say "demogorgon".😰

I think there is no way they could get Steve and Nancy back together that wouldnt be a total betrayal of their characters. Nancy clearly would never want the six little nuggets fantasy that Steve is dreaming of and I don't see them compromising in a way that wouldnt be extremely unsatisfying. It would make way more sense if Jonathan learns to let go of the father role he has claimed within the family after his own father left. He himself has stated that he didnt apply to Nancy's university because he didnt want to leave his mom and Will. If they manage to defeat Vecna and Will accepts himself and comes out to his friends and finds a supporting community in them, I think Jonathan will learn to feel free to make decisions for the future that he really wants and he'll go to uni with Nancy.
As for Steve, I think his crush on Nancy is moreso a matter of falling back on an old dream than him actually having such strong feelings for her that he never got over her in the past couple of years. He's been going through so much character development and he still seems to be searching for who he is and what he wants in life and how to get there. I think his feelings for Nancy resurfacing is a way for him to regain some sense of direction and perspective on his future. Ideally, I think, he is once again let down and as a consequence he'll realise that it never really was about Nancy anyway. I think this does set him up for a very tragic death. You know, the character that lost the future he dreamt of gets killed yadayada. I would absolutely hate it, because the implication more or less is that if you don't have clear prospects of romantic love in the near future you're a tragic character. To me, one of the most important parts of Stranger Things is the friendship between Steve and Robin. Personally, I'd really like to see Nancy letting Steve down again, Steve realising it never really was about her anyway, and then after they defeat Vecna, I'd like for him and Robin to leave Hawkins together to live together as housemates in a bigger city and just explore and learn and have fun. And to let him feel that it is okay to not have an immediate sense of direction in life and to just let those dreams take shape and grow over time. (Disclaimer: i do think the six little nuggets dream is real with a caveat surrounding Nancy's role in it. I just also think Steve has no idea how to get there and I think he deserves to explore that freely)

About the Eddie being 010 is actually a great theory. The reason why Vecna made his bats “kill” Eddie but to really make him part of his army

I think the comment 'What if I'm the monster?' foreshadows Eleven getting flayed and her friends having to save her with love (finale?). It's like Vecna and Eleven are opposites - Negativity and Positivity. Eleven feeds off love while Vecna feeds off grief and trauma. Therefore, Vecna's weakness is the power of love and music. Maybe Eleven will see the good in Henry in st5.
What will happen to Max is completely unpredictable but maybe she will attack Vecna from within (she might also see the other victims of vecna) and when Vecna is finally dead, her consciousness and soul will return to her body and Lucas and Max will finally have their date :D.
Am I the only one interested in what Max wrote in her letters? I think I have an idea what she wrote in Lucas's Letter. It's clear she loves him and only broke up with him because she was afraid of losing someone close to her again. I'm so glad Max isn't dead as I love her overcoming her trauma and depression by running to the light and her friends. Hopefully she plays a role in next season and Lumax don't die.

I don't know, 10 was on the floor when Brenner came to. 1 killed everyone of them to consume their powers and only spared 11 temporarily because he thought she would join him. The only reason 11 is alive is because she fought him off.

knowing stranger thing I feel like if Max is coming back to life its going to be a little like Will coming back were Lucas gets a phone call from the hospital and tells the group they need to go to the hospital and this is were its like the will coming back scene were they are in the waiting room then everyone shes closest with (El and Lucas) go running in first and fill her in on season 5. just knowing the show and they said they want it to be similar to season 1 and i feel like that would be very sweet

Hey I just saw your channel the past few weeks and finished Binge watching after Christmas.... Can you make a video explaining the significance of the Clock. I keep seeing it everywhere and it centered around ever fan theory. Is the clock like in Harry Potter [one of the main Horcruxes] that kills off Vecna?
The portal opening oddly reminds me of the bank map on call of duty zombies the one with the bus that takes you around.

I have a theory about why the upside down is stuck in 1983. The day Will went missing was the day that Nancy looked at in her journal so maybe when Will went inside the upside down it stopped the time there because a human came inside the upside down. Another theory of mine also connects to the theory how vecna can see the future,maybe when he created the upside down he created the upside down in 1983 on purpose
there is an issue with the strecher scene. He does not have blood all over his face or him. So its more than likely a cut scene because it did not make sense continuity wise because dustin could barley walk let alone carry him.
Plus Eddie is still missing as of two days later, so it seems unlikely that his body was ever recovered.
He’s going to return even if it’s Vecna using his death as a guilt to her in the mind of Dustin or Somthing he could even be shown becoming the “monster that is coming next” or somthing I think that would be sweet having the kids fight someone who literally died for them
ok but in season 2 remeber how will sayed that the "mind flayer" is killing but what is he killing demo-dogs? no will is seeing 001 killing his parents and the kids

Henry’s father caught in the war . The hopper references how when he was in war they breathed in chemicals that made their kids have awful deformities. It’s possible vecna got his powers from his father and his mother felt those powers when he was in the womb. That would explain why she was the only one who knew Henry was powerful.

i saw a theory that says that 008 will come at the end of season 5 and eleven vecna and 008 will fight, becuase at the start of season 4 we saw that dustin didnt kill vecna with 11 and lucas won the game and his shirt was with numer 8...

I understand where you’re coming from especially when you know the lore of Vecna in D&D like how he has his soul in people and they have to be destroyed for him to be destroyed but the thing is they’ve made him suffer so much in every season, they’ve given him no happiness, he’s even sacrificed his love life, and then he dies? The bury the gays trope gets show’s writers in SO MUCH heat nowadays that it’s happening less and less. And with Stranger Things, a show where an extremely large portion of the audience is LGBT and relates with Will, I think they know that nobody will be satisfied with the ending and everyone will be mad. I don’t know how they’re going to resolve it without killing him but I think they know they pretty much have to.
If Will did create the upside down, it would make sense only a little, because he was the wizard and everything in it is DND related. However, it does not explain the time jump back to 1976 when Henry was originally possessed by the mind flayer as a kid, and led to believe he was the one controlling things beginning the day of "1 vs 11" and her escape from the lab/Will's original kidnapping. Plus it also doesn't explain Barb at all, or why Will was being turned into a tree like Barb. If Will was it's creator, why hide and actually become a victim, and almost die...to many whys. And it certainly does not explain 11's mom's powers and others contacting the upside down during MK-Ultra, long before Henry even. So maybe it existed, but wasn't DND like yet until he got there because it absorbed him and his memories and he needs to remember who else they fought in his made up campaigns to stop future baddies who have already been secretly introduced (GIANT MONSTER WITH GAPING MOUTH/ RED DRAGON BOGG IN ALL OF WILL'S DRAWINGS).

I think that Nancy is going to die, I dunno how to explain things very well but here's how I think this will possibly happen
1. Nancy is conflicted about Barb and Fred Vecna could use this against her
2. The love triangle between her, Steve, and Jonathan, could cause a rift between all three, with no possible way to fix it, she could sacrifice herself and it could create a deep bond between the guys.
3. If the love triangle thing doesnt happen, maybe she would take on a larger role in season 5, and Vecna would use killing her to weaken the team.
Also a quick mention; Henry's mom knew about Dr. Brenner bc she was in his MK Ultra experiments like Eleven's mom. And the "Special skills" are also mentioned in a few of the books and comics, they don't mean anything relating to supernatural powers, but instead it's for insane intelligence or having a very high functioning brain

I can see them making Vecna take eddies body now that his is damaged or destroyed... only for eddie to take control when it matters and stab himself to kill or help kill vecna, thus kind of playing out the kas the vampire betrayal at the same time
The only logical solution I can come up with as to why the upside down is stuck in 83, is that in the real world, there are humans doing things and affecting the future, but in the upside down, there are no humans to affect the future and to change things. Just like if animals took over the real world and all humans disappeared, animals can't change the buildings or do anything that humans could.
