Wow! I’m really surprised how many hits this really old video of mine is getting lately! So maybe a Mohawk challenge? Everyone who tries to make one posts their own video on YT and drops a link below?
Made some adjustments based off this vid and successfully cut a mohawk today. I measured the width for my forehead and then length for the strip down my head. Folded and trimmed TIN FOIL to the right size and shape. Then duct taped at forehead and nape of neck. Mold the foil to your head shape and press it down as you cut the edges. Used a dab of vaseline to get the duct tape off with no hair ripped out. I saved the tin foil guide in a ziploc for later.
I would like to do a less severe Mohawk maybe a 3 or 4 on the sides and a 4 1/2 on top. Do you think this would work DIY no fading ? Thanks Something to wear with a suit.

Just did mine. Thanks! I didn't have duct tape so I used packing tape. It doesn't stick well to skin or hair, but it at least stayed in place long enough for me to guide the cut. My main challenge is getting the back of the head. My 'hawk is thinner on the back because I kind of messed it up.
The fact that I didn’t think of this kinda hurts me inside... it’s so obvious... I could even do the taper I like to do in the back by cutting the tape to shape..... I guess I have no common sense
When is the mohawk coming back Tomasz? Was a great look. Sorry about the beard (latest video) so why not shave and keep the moustache? Never seen you with just a moustache-would be a great look,
Beard had to be shortened yesterday to get rid of the curly smoldered hair ... but the head hair is also down to zero ... difficult to make a Mohawk nowadays considering the circle in the middle lacking “density” ;)

I wonder if I could use either painter's tape or masking tape. Both of those are easier to remove than duct (Duck) tape.
Should also work although since it doesn’t stretch I don’t know if it won’t flare up on the edges and get torn/cut by the shaver?
