      they confirmed there won't be any necromancy auras, atleast on launch, but you can use marks to buy aura resets for auras that affect all styles like mahjarrat or invigorating

      Yeah, what lillildipsy said. Marks of war are still useful to stock up on for aura resets and the like regardless! Even if there isn't a necro aura (which they said there wont be)

      I missed that, my bad! I just assumed if they're gonna have a T99 prayer at launch it'd make sense to have an airs to use as well. Luckily, I have a bunch of aura refreshes from TH, along with reaper resets.

    New data like the hit chance and ability clarity is so freaken nice as it helps you also know how much your upgrades are helping and learning minimums on mains for things like ironman.

    So new players are gonna have a even harder time getting those combat levels up... Most people who think this is a good idea allready have lv120/200m combat exp. If they just did this for Necromancy this would be Okej and their goal of slowing the progress of Necromancy would be achieved. Hope this will not scare of potentional new players.
    I dont mind since i allready have a maxed alt, and a 5.6b main.
    But this will be hard for new players. Time will tell, anyways Nice video!

      2.5M xp/hr is now 1M xp/hr?
      It's still fast.
      Honestly I feel like its completely fine to crunch numbers, they dont always need to go up - take the hunter rework as an example, they nerfed hunter from 2m to 1m, and its still an amazingly balanced skill because of that crunch.

    I maxed last dxp and plan on getting 120 herb and arc with the next one. Super hyped for Necromancy wont race for 99 but will be playing a whole lot more.

    as much as i like the idea of turning the auto fire off, i wish it wasn't a feature. what really appealed to me about necromancy combat is that i was under the impression that revo and full manual users would be on an even playing field, and would not impact dps too greatly. this would entice non pvmers to get into pvming. but from what i understand now, its just like any other combat skill in that you'll never be doing good dps unless you go full manual.

    50 hp per 1000 hp is insane, though. Low levels used to be like 100 hp per 30 xp. Why is it such a huge increase? It's going to make the low levels of the other skills brutal.

      It is basically the same xp rate as Old School (OS gives 4 xp per 1 HP or 40 xp per 10 HP, new RS3 is 50 xp per 1000 LP which is the same as 10HP in OS). So basically, welcome Old School rates, where it takes hundreds of hours to max out a combat skill

      @WolfBackGameing No, it does the exact opposite. You get the same XP per LP of the monster whether the monster is level 10 or level 1000. This means for optimal XP rates you will want to fight a low-defence low-offence high-health monster in the new system, just like in Old School where players kill level 15 sand crabs at very high levels

      @@exantiuse497 if you think they are going to have some level 12 monster with crazy high health and low damage your insane. They are doing this to get rid of everyone grinding out one monster and spread people out. they will absolutely set higher level monsters with more HP, RS3 has always been about PvM Progression since Evolution of combat. They do not want 30 people sitting at abby demons grinding out 99 in a few hours. the calculations have already been done and most of the current meta spots will drop by 60% or more in xp/hour and higher end monsters will increase.

      @@WolfPackGameing Please, check the upcoming changes on wiki. Exantiuse speaks the truth. This update is literally all about pushing people towards easy to kill monsters with good spawns, including the abyssal demons you mentioned. Whatever calculations you're referring to are outright wrong when creatures such as Abyssal Lords are nerfed so much that they're literally Abyssal Demon xp/h after the nerf. This change will just make people camp Demons/Abyss even harder than currently. Boss XP is dropped to abysmal levels so you should never go there etc.

    I think the Tank armor might have some more use than people think. IF your sacrificing 50% of your hp to extend your summons duration.. and your in a boss fight you might want to consider the extra hp that tank armor provides

      It has to have an outfit bonus, or else it's just not gonna be that good. SS and Deflect Prayers would sustain and keep you safe while sacrificing your own HP.

      @@MeOnStuff ifølge you use powerburst og vitalitet, you will love 10k hp instead of 5k, but you will also have 10k left instead of 5k . Meaning its free ;)

    The VERY FIRST thing I asked for after EoC dropped all those years ago was a return to damage-based XP drops. Imagine being to train combat on basically any creature you like instead of on one of maybe 2 or 3 viable creatures. This is the best change they could have made.

      WYM? This change ensures you'll need to train combat on specific high HP low defence&offence monsters, like Old school players who kill sand crabs up to 80s and beyond if they don't do slayer

      @@exantiuse497 Except OSRS players who kill sand crabs are idiots because the best way to train is always with slayer helm. 126 combat on OSRS btw. There is also a very wide array of things you can kill before a combat level of 80. Not to mention, this is coming with a defence system rebalance, so you're also wrong there. People won't be worrying about "high hp, low defence" unless they're post-max players going for the most efficient rates possible.

      I think we’re all forgetting that 50 xp per 1000 damage is only ever so slightly higher xp than OSRS. It’s hard to picture being able to get anything more than maybe 350k to 400k xp per hour even with mechanised chinchompas. That being said over 500 hours to 200m xp is no longer going to be attainable for people that work 16 hour days six days a week

    I'm glad I didn't go too hard to farm ushabtis. I figured that I'll be fairly quick so the higher level stuff wouldn't be super crowded when I got there and I could farm ushabti for lvl 99+ stuff as I was at the spot. That being said, I always wondered why they did away with HP = combat XP and i'm glad to see it back. Honestly seems like they are nerfing the combat XP rate as a whole though so this race might take longer than expected.

      Yeah, i didn't go hard on ushabtis as i wanted to wait till the last week to make sure nothing else was said haha
      Yeah, it'll be slower overall - but the race was going to be reduced XP artificially, so it would have taken longer because of that anyway - now they've just rebalanced it all across the board instead of artificially only for necro

      @@MaikeruRS Thinking more deeply about it though, all the mobs of the last 10 years pretty much have been designed on a system not based around HP. So the fact that they now all give XP based on total HP makes them take a huge hit and actually end up being worse than low level mobs. Doesn't seem healthy for the game, they need to revise the 50xp/1000LP ratio for higher level slayer mobs.

      They're mostly for bossing. Just increases your adrenaline bar a bit.

      They are mostly for bossing.
      Adrealine potions are huge though. In the conventional combat styles, the vast majority of your Damage Per Minute is from the berserker/sunshine/death swiftness rotation. With the adrealin potion you can fit more tresholds within the time that berserker/sunshine/death swiftness is active, vastly increasing your damage output.
      On top of that if helps you put out damage at right time in some scenarios.

      I disagree big time, i personally feel like it should never have changed from the old system when EOC was introduced.
      This makes everything much more linear in progression

      @@MaikeruRS IMO, that's part of the problem. I think it'll end up being better to fight damage sponges in AoE than any other type of content. There will be lower and lower incentive to fight creatures with mechanics, especially as drop tables become further outdated. RS3 is a much different game than OSRS and you should be rewarded for your effort. There's a reason that swarm fishing gives less xp than frenzy. One takes a lot more effort than the other. I believe combat and every other aspect in the game should be like that.

      @@XyntakLP Yeah, for example Gemstone Dragons take a huge XP hit and XP is basically all they had going for them so that you could bother dodging their annoying mechanics. Their bones are worth more but why not just go frost dragons instead, you'll kill more and no annoying mechanics to be bothered by. Speaking of which their exp is also more than halved.

    Very nice video, I appreciate your acknowledgement of people just thinking when trying to do full manual. It takes a long time to develop the pattern and even more to adapt to some specific situations where your pattern isn't optimal.

      It's at least for necro to start, but if the other styles don't have it, there is no way they don't port it over after the release sometime to the other styles too, yeah. Same as the tooltips showing actual damage numbers not just %, that was confirmed to be ported over to all styles eventually :D

      @@MaikeruRS The MOBS... tf kind of question is that. the entire meta for xp has just changed and they decided to do it after i just spent time effort and money to put mobs into the slayer dungeon.. and dont get me started on announcing praesul codex late and changing it so clan xp boost doesnt work. they should just remove all xp boosts from working. their logic makes no sense. I suppose when your life is this game and you have the funds to not care and buy your way to easier grinds it doesnt matter as much.

    The combat exp rework definitely was a flat out nerf, there was no balancing to it.... Call it balancing is just copium.

      The only reason people aren't going full riot mode is because all they see is nerf to ED3. People are so oblivious to all the completely unwarranted nerfs that come with this patch. Boss xp is so nerfed you're actively hurting yourself sooo much if you wanted to go for something like boss logs while training necromancy. Even worse, the whole change basically tells you to get 120 necromancy before you even begin to think about bossing.

    I was kinda bummed to see all the necromancy summoning was built into abilities. I guess this means my legacy iron account is kind of a dead challenge regarding necro. I was really hoping to find fun ways to use it but it looks like I’d have to train a 99/120 skill just to get a bone shield.

      Necro will still have that "basic" as your legacy hit, so it wont be much different to other styles if you then include ultimates and such.

      @@MaikeruRSNot much necromancy being done with an autohit. Ah well, I appreciate the response. I figured the legacy accounts would run out someday. I’m just glad I got to archive most of the feats and speed kills and enjoy the time. I was naive and thought Jagex might make it fully playable one day, especially to attract OSRS/Lost players but it seems they’ll keep trying with this. I hope it works out for them once they figure out what they want to do with combat.

      @@NightInBh Im pretty sure they already figured out what path they're taking combat in since they've been updating it for 10+ years now with 0 to no updates to legacy combat, and it's pretty obvious since it's launch that legacy wasn't gonna be something that was further updated, the name is LEGACY for a reason.

      @@NightInBh Well, they are addressing on the fact that they're making EOC even more seamless, I never saw any indication they were going to try to appease/attract OSRS players via simplifying combat, because, at least for Jagex, it wouldn't make sense since OSRS already exists, it wouldn't help them in any way since all it would do is transfer the players from one of their games to another one of their games, their push is to attract old WOW players, at least in my opinion, since the game styles are similar.

      But it's not that crazy to imagine people like to take time off from their normal lives to enjoy a game and have fun - racing is fun to people.
      I know a lot of my friends who have busy lives, but took a week off to enjoy the game. Don't think that's sad at all
