Alex Harvey and the SAHB were fantastic. Great shows done with brilliant musicianship, and also some humour.. Thanks for playing the whole thing and not stopping every few seconds to make a comment.
Seen SHAB live in the 70s, rock drama, Excellent. An experience I will never forget, Congrattulations on this vidieo.l try Framed , Next , Boston tea party. not sure if you could get away with Next in these sanatised days
Elok You pulled out a rare bird here. A very unique and obscure band. Would of been interesting to see where they would of gone if we didn't loose Alex Harvey R.I.P Master Alex
Glad you covered this song, Alex Harvey's version was much darker than Tom Jones cut. Alex Harvey's band had a very heavy impact on the Brit bands in the 70's. They will never get the full credit they deserve. While we're on Alex Harvey, check out "Give My Complements To The Chief" There is a great live video of them playing this song on TH-cam.
Iam agree with your Words ... Young Lady...I' ve been a Fan since 40 Years and Iam from Germany.. First Song was..Faith Healer...and than I bought Records ...there is one Song that I never can forget...The Giant Stone Eater!.. its for every Time and the Control of our Humanity and Climate Chance..from 1975! Hahaha. Get down in this Song and found out the Past and the Future from 1975. Lovely Greatings from Germany
Hardly any one knows of Alexander l was lucky and grew up in Cleveland wmms would play him. As add on I have two of his albums hard to find before Amazon, I think I got one in Germany.
I’ve always enjoyed Alex and his band. I like the lightheartedness, the humor. Other songs I would recommend by them are “Tomahawk Kid“ and “Framed” off of their live album and my favorite, “Man in a Jar“
Fantastic live, to add to your favourites, I will mention "There are no lights on the Christmas tree Mother, they're burning Big Louie tonight" as another great track.
That's such a great reaction to an awesome band and superb re-imagining of a Tom Jones' classic! I'd love you tpo react to: "Tale of the Giant Stone Eater" - it's not only an awesome song, but a precautionary tale, years before its time! Well done, Elok!!
You should check out a video from around 2013 or so - The Sensational Alex Harvey Tribute Band-- it's a full concert and the singer is almost a clone of the original.
Great version of this song, nearly 50 years old,but really brought this song(about stalking & murder!) alive✊♥️😍👏👏👏♥️ Many thanks you made an ole woman from UK HAPPY 😃♥️👍😉
Great band I saw them many times, fantastic live. Can I recommend gambling bar room blues from supersonic tv show. Or framed from the rainbow in London. You would like them as you like the dance in this
There was only one lead guitarist that ever mattered to the classic lineup and that was the hugely gifted Zal Cleminson but the whole band was really special. Glad you liked them Elok - you really had to see them live and loud to appreciate how great they were - I followed them to as many UK shows that I could pay for.
So many gems to chose from by Alex Harvey, most are better than this one which was probably there biggest commercial hit. Try anything off the "Next" album eg Faith Healer, Vambo Marble Eye, Last of the Teenage Idols, Gang Bang, Swampsnake etc
Alex said the band was not a Gloss shine Band, they where a Dull matt finish, he didn't want the band to be labeled like led zeppelin pink Floyd They wanted freedom to perform everything with theatre 🎭, Glasgow's artists are never good at confirming Around the same time in our little Glasgow city There was Frankie Miller "When I'm away from you" is one of my favourite songs he wrote, Some of the Biggest recording artists in America where performing Frankie's beautiful loving songs, He also played a bad boy in movies that wouldn't be difficult He was a as Tough as they came That hard street face look, like Alex Harvey A person in the moulding Gerry Rafferty Gerry Rafferty Baker Street one of the most recognizable introductions to a song saxophone Gerry had no interest in being famous, he formed the band, Steelers wheel to record music, But the song "stuck in the middle With you" Was to successful He never wanted tv appearances or hassle of touring So he left the band with before a video recording of the song was made. My favorite Gerry Rafferty song He sang with his family, "What ever's written in your heart is all that matters" also a song he wrote when he played in a band called The Humble Bums 🤣 with and The funniest person that has lived Billy Connolly Song Called "Your Father didn't like me anyway" only audio on youtube not been many nicer songs written ever The Average White Band Who are the sound of disc music, picking up the pieces and let's go round again I will look forward to watching your video reactions Well done in making strides of success from Glasgow Scotland UK

@@ba-gg6jo Thanks for that suggestion. I’ve heard that title but not sure I’ve heard the song but definitely want to check it out now.
Right On!
The intelligence and depth of emotion is unequalled. Did Tom Jones ever display such menace?

The live performances from The Old Grey Whistle Test are some of the best SAHB stuff. Faith Healer, Next, Give My Compliments to the Chef among others

Forget Tom Jones this is the best version
🎸🎸
Name a modern group that ENTERTAINS.
Very much a tongue-in- cheek version! A great many great guitarists passed though this band...check who they are in Wikipedia.
Not while Alex was alive. And let's face it. It was never really the sensational Alex Harvey band without him.
Zal Cleminson still rools.
There was only one lead guitarist that ever mattered to the classic lineup and that was the hugely gifted Zal Cleminson but the whole band was really special. Listen to Vambo, Man in the Jar, Midnight Moses or Hot City.....
React to SAHBs Faith Healer. It's brilliant.
Also check out SAHB Chris's Glen bass on MSG or Zal Clemtson with Sin Dogs.
You're going to be a wonderful adult with such as this to guide you, peace out
sounds a bit like a parody of that TJ song. a really cool and good song of them was "the faith healer". very popular back then.
A better idea of their sound is the song Faith Healer
An unusual band. Very interesting. Perhaps check out Tom Jones version of this from the sixties. A classic.
Love the reaction can you react to DIR RN GREY zakuro live plzz

Hello Scotland!!
THEY ARE FROM SCOTLAND , NOT ENGLAND
Not Alex best but a great song
That's a funny version, but Tom Jones' voice is far more better :)
I always prefer the way Alex sings "She stood there laughing!"
that sucks no gusta...
Some song are better left alone in it’s original form and this is one of them, that was very distasteful sorry
