I don't understand Kneecap potentially getting nominated for Casting. The idea that a casting director did a great job by casting real people in the main roles is very funny, especially since I assume it was decided that the three main characters would play themselves when the idea for the movie came up, and that's not something that the casting director had to do anything about. Should they be nominated for casting only the supporting characters?
Timothee Chalamet could very likely win here. ACU overperformed with BAFTA. It will be released in the UK Fri - and they are there doing promos. Bob Dylan is a previous BAFTA nominee. Austin Butler, Will Smith won for playing real life people - over Colin Farrell, Benedict Cumberbatch.
Nickel Boys is like Terrance Malick for Tree of Life. The Directors branch aren't into stuff like Conclave.
