I went to a garage sale this Sunday morning. Got there nice and early. Bought my toddler some wood toy trains for less than $10. Later on took a walk to see if they were still selling anything but they were done. There was a big box filled with items and they labeled it FREE. inside was a pretty table lamp I had admired earlier that day. I lugged it back home and as I was cleaning it I realized that the lamp shade said Waterford!! I couldn't believe it. I'm very excited to tell you my awesome find!!

@@LadyMaryBeth I couldn't believe or understand it. I didn't knew if they what they were giving away and didn't care or if they got a present, didn't like it and never bothered to look up the name. But I will treasure it!

1970 jag XKE v12 ENGINE. Standard transmission fast as heck. My ex and I used to love English sport cars in the 1960s and early 70s but I could only afford a triumph TR 6 which was fast as heck too.

I began a milk glass collection in my twenties. Most of what I have is Fenton. Back then, green stamps were a gold mine. It was fun collecting the stamps and exciting when one finally reached the required amount to go to the Green Stamp store to purchase the longed for item. They are still treasures to me today. I stopped yard sale visits years ago because I live in a condo and my space is limited. Perhaps I should reconsider. I have a set of pressed glass dish’s (I think) and cups purchased in the 80’s that have lost many pieces. Perhaps the hunt for replacements would be fun since my children are grown and I do have the time. I am also interested in ironstone, but I understand many people are! Thank You for the ideas!🙂
Thanks for coming along for the garage sale. Uploading another one tomorrow from this same neighborhood. Yes, I agree that you should be on the hunt for your pressed glass pattern. I remember the stamps! We cashed them in and I still have a hand held Simon Says game from 1980. Have my mother's Better Homes & Garden 1968 edition cookbook and sterling candleholders that her aunt got her using green stamps. They need to bring them back.

That one sale was a manly one with the car and electronic parts. The owner was gushing over his Jag. Bet he had good times driving around in it.

I ordered the matching pedestal base on eBay. Cost more than the punch bowl, but it makes it a showstopper. A pink sherbet punch would be perfect for Valentine’s Day! 💗💗💗

For sure! Cotton and linen are the best napkins. The ultra soft vintage napkins I find at flea markets in Germany are heavy and luxurious.
