Glad you like them! I have one coming up about things to do off-resort like the cenotes, Playa del Carmen, and some of the Mayan ruins. Unfortunately I didn't get to go to any of the theme parks this time but I've heard they are really fun. Hopefully if I go again I can visit those.
For men, it's pretty much just long pants (even jeans) and closed-toed shoes. For women, pretty much anything except beach clothes. You definitely don't need to wear dress shirts or pants or anything too fancy like that. Jeans + a golf shirt + shoes are enough for men at the a-la-cartes. And at the buffets you can wear shorts and sandals.

No, anyone at the resort can dine at them for free depending on how many a-la-carte meals they get.
