I worked for 17 years on Karl Mayer tricot knitters both 2 and 3 bar machines, 28 and 32 gauge. The machines I worked on were much shorter than the one in this video, I believe they produced 168 inch wide material. I did everything from threading in new beams to full retooling including all new needles, sinkers, yarn guides etc. It was a very meticulous and slow process to make sure all the parts didn't run into each other. It was very challenging and I enjoyed working on them.
