I have a tip for camping. Use a large tarp to cover your tent and truck area. Tie the corners off to far trees and use and old tree or something in the middle of the tarp. Stand the old tree up with a towel over the end so it doesn’t tear the tarp. You’ll have a huge area to camp under and keeps everything dry from morning dew

Tornado: find a ditch, culvert, etc. The most important thing is as much side cover as possible. Don't get under anything that can be picked up like a bathtub toy.

I was riding around NC Gamelands last weekend, doing a little video. and a guy in a Taco w/RTT came up to me and Said "Hey, Your Sir William, I love your Channel"..... Total Fail, but you have fans out there ...LOL
How were you able to get the radar to show on the info screen on your rig? I’ve tried to get MyRadar to show in Apple car play and looks like it’s not an option.
I use Gaia : bit.ly/2I1McCG that said you have to find your own trails. As far as legal anything thats a public road is legal (there are alot of roads that are technical and off-road believe it or not) also anywhere on public land. In that app there is a way to turn on layers that show public lands all the roads through there are good. Then there are private off-road parks and orv or ohv areas that you can find online. Hope this helps, just get out and explore.
you need to try some real adventure. Ditch 2 of the wheels, a roof, climate control. all that junk in the back and get a helmet and have an even better time on the same routes. BRAPPPPPP

Years ago I wanted to pick up a military surplus K5 which had the diesel v8 but the State of Colorado grabbed them all to use as snow plows

Not that I can remember. I did hop off once or twice for food gas etc
Perhaps it just wasn't as grown bring February so it looked much different. But the area by the river that you went to I did not find.
I believe I found that while off trail looking for camp.
