    Here's an odd idea: instead of killing off James, have him find a job in Alaska or in the south, where he strikes it big and becomes super-rich. Then he comes home to his family a huge winner. But instead of moving his family out, he rallies a bunch of people to invest in the projects. Over time, the projects transform from a ghetto neighborhood into one of the top hotspots in Chicago. The point: instead of moving to a nice, posh neighborhood, James Evans practices what he preaches: remembering and respecting where he came from, and paying it forward. Instead the Evans family turning their backs on the ghetto, they revamp it into a thriving region that becomes envy of Chicago. Kinda like what Captain Sisko did on Star Trek: DS9. When he got there, it was a run-down, abandoned worthless outpost. In a short time, he turned it into one of Starfleet's leading outposts.

    Personally the remake done of this show last year was horrible. The original episodes can never be replaced this show is a classic sitcom

    • @BooDotBoo
      @BooDotBoo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What remake? You mean that show where they redo a few classic episodes? It’s not supposed to be as good; I think it’s just reintroducing the show to new audiences, just with well-known current stars, since all those older shows are still on the air through reruns.

    I dig the show but Janes Was right. They went too far with the JJ stupidness, which took away from showcasing a strong black family.

    • @BooDotBoo
      @BooDotBoo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Weird, because I don't remember JJ's "stupidity" as much as them being a strong black family. He was being a pretty typical teen/young adult (we ALL have that one sibling or cousin or whomever who is just always acting a bit wild and crazy)... which would be part of a strong black family, so I don't get why that's always looked down on. Just seems weird y'all didn't expect the kids to act like, well, kids. A strong black family doesn't mean everyone is uptight and straight-laced. It means you love each other and help each other through thick and thin... that came through VERY well in this show or it wouldn't still be so beloved.

    • @deeg8849
      @deeg8849 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BooDotBoo come on, you know what I mean. Remember I dig the show but JJ was supposed to be a minor character but as his humour/silliness got popular, the scripts changed and shifted away from more meaningful storylines. Nothing to do with uptight or not. Cheers

      I always figure it's because they hadn't gotten a taste of the high life yet. They were coming from the ghetto so almost anything would have been better. I'm sure, if the show would have kept going, they would have upgraded to a bigger house, probably a mansion.
