Hey! Welcome to another week in the life of a ballerina in nyc otherwise known as the Dance Diaries. I'm an adult beginner ballerina just starting ballet in my 20s and I'm sharing what it's like to live and dance in New York City!
This week was the coziest, rainiest week here in Manhattan, and I spent it thrifting, eating and dancing. I'll be taking you to some of the coolest thrift shops in Brooklyn, showing you some cool restaurants and sharing some apartments updates after thrifting a bunch of home decor. Hi there! I'm Veronica, welcome to my beginner dance journey. When I was 17, I was told by a teacher that I would never be a ballerina. I let that thought control me for YEARS but now, in my late 20s, I moved to New York City and I'm finally starting ballet late. This is a space for me to document the ups and downs of learning how to do ballet in my 20s and show anyone that it's never too late to live your dreams.

I totally get it. New York is very expensive! I saved up for 3 years and made tons of sacrifices to finally get here and sometimes it feels like you can’t step outside without being charged for it 😅 there are lots of lovely free things to do here too though like parks, libraries (as shown in the video), museums, etc!
And, while I always appreciate a sense of humor, speaking from my own experience, I’d be very weary of that sneaky word “can’t.” Words have magical powers and this is just a friendly reminder that there are also more empowering words and questions available to you too! 😘 thanks for watching!
