Make the game better is subjective. I do overhaul combat in my modded skyrim but most of it would be considered vanilla+. I personally find a lot of combat mods, especially those that are part of MCO to be too over the top and flashy for skyrim, and I prefer mods that simply update some animations, without all the movesets. This doesn't mean I think MCO is bad. It just means if I want movesets I'll go play Elden Ring, but over the top modlists take me out of the immersion of skyrim. And I have friends that do not have the patience or the basic knowledge of modding to go through the process of nodding skyrim, and hundreds of hours later they are enjoying the game still. I like both vanilla and modded Skyrim. Now that a groundbreaking mod called MCO has appeared, as someone who likes high fantasy, I mainly use the Virgil moveset for high-quality action that fits the current trend. However, the reason I played Skyrim in the past was because the image of the brave northern Norse warrior with a steel sword and shield defeating a dragon and using the roar looked so masculine and strong. Some people say that the appearance of Skyrim's vampire lord is monstrous and ugly, but I really like the appearance of Skyrim's vanilla vampire lord. Originally, vampires were undead and monsters. They expressed monsters as monsters and made them look scary and powerful, so why should they be criticized? Anyway, what I mean is that Skyrim is good whether it's vanilla or modded
I get what you mean! Skyrim works in so many ways, whether you’re into the high fantasy action with MCO or the classic Norse warrior vibe. The Vampire Lord design is definitely more monstrous, but that’s what makes it stand out-vampires are supposed to be scary! Skyrim’s great whether you stick to vanilla or go all in with mods.
I usually go for a more moderate modded skyrim experience with an a dark fantasy mix into it so my combat is bloody and brutal, i even have a mod to make the death screams more brutal.
@@FROSTGamingVerse so true, I think it just takes me back. And I've never been into the assassin's creed games, so the mods that look more like that aren't for me. That being said, I enjoyed the video and it's always fun to see what can be done with the power of modding.
Smooth’s stuff is insanely good and, well, smooth. Literally the only MCO movesets I use, everything else feels so janky compared to his. And the directional and special attacks feel so natural, especially on the warhammer moveset.
That’s a great point! If the mods could extend to enemies, it’d make the combat way more dynamic. Enemies dodging, blocking, and using more varied moves would really elevate the challenge and immersion. Hopefully, we’ll see more mods like that in the future!

Anyone with a brain knows that the pushback against modding IN CONTRAST with the giving-in to modding BOTH fuel this game's popularity streak into the stratosphere. YOU'RE the one who's "fanboying," over mods. Lmao.
it does but I understand where people are coming from. skyrim needs a dark, cold atmosphere, with taverns/ villages holding more of the "warmth" as seen in these mods. it would be cool if some of these modders went for more of a dark souls type setting rather.
Being honest combat is the one thing I wouldn’t change in Skyrim. I would though give the Morrowind systems back, tell me when a mod is made for that! That way I can figure out somehow how to put it in Skywind😂
I get that! Skyrim's combat definitely has its charm, but bringing back Morrowind’s system would be amazing. I’ll keep an eye out for any mods that try to recreate it-if I find anything.
you know what? even though i love what modders have done with skyrim over the years, i cant help but appreciate how good 2011 vanilla still looks and feels to me. is it out dated? sure, but its not like unappealing or anything
Man this modlist looks so good, can't wait for a wabbajack version to download this because I'm still too amateur when it comes modding skyrim and I lack the time to learn it more.
let the mod community help make TESVI for a decade or so and everyone would be very much happy. I'm no modder, and I'm satisfied with Anniversary Edition, but it would be suffice to say that the next TES game should be more revolutionary and mind-blowing as a game than the last, like Elden Ring is to the Souls series.
I totally agree! The modding community has done wonders for Skyrim, and if they had a decade to work on TESVI, it could be incredible. The next TES game definitely needs to push the envelope, like Elden Ring did for the Souls series. It's time for something truly revolutionary that takes the best of what we've seen and elevates it even further. Hopefully, Bethesda will take inspiration from the modding community and bring that level of innovation into the next game!
There used to be a combination of combat mods that made it similar to JKA/outcast combat, however all the updates broke them.. would have been nice to mix and mash it with stuff from this video.

@@FROSTGamingVerse I feel like it's hard to make solid modlist for first person and third person combat, because most of MCO animations packs, which they are core of 3rd combat modlist for Skyrim, are too slow for first peron combat. I fell like vanilla 3rd animations are little bit faster, which make a good pace for 1st peron combat. Anyway, thanks for response.
As much as I dont like the combat you added, its amazing that Skyrim is basically a base to make it whatever game you like. Me personally I prefer directional blocking games like Mount and Blade or For Honor and... Yeah theres mods to make it like that. Amazing.
Yup this engine can achieve a lot for such an old engine! Directional combat is awesome, and I have tried it in skyrim, however its very difficult to balance when several enemies surround you.
the combat is actually kinda of more impressive from every other skyrim video with about the same title, But ngl i think something no one bothers to mod is the healing system, its really janky and no matter the player build you will always use restoration as your main healing source
Thank you I will definitely check that out! I did make the combat against Bandits more challenging here: th-cam.com/video/ayXha2lRnPk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=C2bIR5Pgx8cW0w0l Using the OBIS bandit mod
Ahh sorry, it is pricey but too be honest if you opt for AMD parts you can actually build a pc that will run this easily for the same price as current consoles now :) Let me know if you ever do look into getting a pc, I would be happy to help.
I think striking a good balance between these two is my preference. I’m honestly not a massive fan of the super flashy MCO combat. I like using a mix of realistic animations like some of the leviathan, vanargand or goetia animations combined with CGO for more of a vanilla plus feel. Kinda opens up things like jump attacks and being able to use a 2 hander with a shield or some magic. And sprinkle some procedural leaning for that extra feel and it’s so much more satisfying than MCO for me. I’m ngl MCO doesn’t feel smooth at all. It feels stiff and clunky asf with tons of clipping and dodgy mechanics. No hate to the list the gameplay look undeniably more modern and probably more enjoyable for most but I’d take vanilla over MCO any day
Mods definitely make the game better but when I get a gaming computer, I’m gonna try to balance the combat because it just seems like he’s beating up on the computer so easily
I've never really played Skyrim but this looks awesome. Is it hard to mod it? How many mods are you running? Is there a 1 mod does all? Wish there was 😆

@@AZs00Buck hey sorry a little lost.
What beeping noise? 🤣
Modded looks better, anyone with eyes can see that as long as they don’t suffer from fanboyism
Anyone with a brain knows that the pushback against modding IN CONTRAST with the giving-in to modding BOTH fuel this game's popularity streak into the stratosphere. YOU'RE the one who's "fanboying," over mods. Lmao.
@@DovahZeux lmao a fan boy in denial, mods are the only reason this game is alive, that’s why Bethesda has been trying to monetize them
it does but I understand where people are coming from. skyrim needs a dark, cold atmosphere, with taverns/ villages holding more of the "warmth" as seen in these mods. it would be cool if some of these modders went for more of a dark souls type setting rather.
@@jackvolkwyn470 there are a lot of mods and modpacks that do dark souls and elden ring combat and makes skyrim a more dark and cold place
I'm glad you like the mods :)
That new mod is insane 🔥
Thank you!
Wow you made my day 😍
Great!
Great post, love the battle mods. Looks like it makes combat easier? Or maybe this player is talented enough to make it seem easier?
It was actually easier, so I improved the difficulty in my update here: th-cam.com/video/ShqaA9oIeMg/w-d-xo.html
@@FROSTGamingVerse looking good!
I’ll keep an eye out for any mods that try to recreate it-if I find anything.
that battle music sounded like some festival dance
Yes unfortunately I had to remove the original song due to copyright
you know what? even though i love what modders have done with skyrim over the years, i cant help but appreciate how good 2011 vanilla still looks and feels to me. is it out dated? sure, but its not like unappealing or anything
Yeah, the nostalgia of the original is awesome too
Man this modlist looks so good, can't wait for a wabbajack version to download this because I'm still too amateur when it comes modding skyrim and I lack the time to learn it more.
Hi there, I don't have a wabbajack list as yet but its in progress, thanks for the support
let the mod community help make TESVI for a decade or so and everyone would be very much happy.
I downloaded Skyrim and it's the best game i played and i have downloaded one mod that is sauron armor one.
Awesome!
I would like to see upgraded / update combat style, not a different style of combat in my opinion, but great job 👍
Hi there, alright I'll work on that :)
Looks great as always!!
Thanks!
Faithful sub right here!
Been a year now hey:)
There used to be a combination of combat mods that made it similar to JKA/outcast combat, however all the updates broke them.. would have been nice to mix and mash it with stuff from this video.
Sounds awesome, unfortunately updates break everything all the time!
Nice Combat and Graphics mod .
Thank you :)
I can still hear the centurion screaming INCREDIBILIS!!!
Haha nice one!
Nice work
Thank you!
Setup looks pretty solid, but I still prefere first person modded combat. It feels more in "Skyrim way" :-D
Yes first person is still awesome.
Theres some first person combat here but only very brief th-cam.com/video/4CDgRWBjTxU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UuSugC-SEMDyZoKn&t=354
Directional combat is awesome, and I have tried it in skyrim, however its very difficult to balance when several enemies surround you.
love it:) will there be a wabbajack version? have you included maximum carnage and some gore stuff?
I hope to make an Auto Installer
the combat is actually kinda of more impressive from every other skyrim video with about the same title, But ngl i think something no one bothers to mod is the healing system, its really janky and no matter the player build you will always use restoration as your main healing source
Thank you, mmm I never thought about another healing system, what do you have in mind?
Like the music...
Thank you, I was aiming for a viking theme
Looks so awesome man. I was scoping your list on Patreon- did you do something with arrow speed I'm not seeing?
Thanks! Dynamic bow animation has an effect that shoots faster when charged
It's no fun having such weak enemies. Use for your gameplays:
"Skyrim Revamped - Complete Enemy Overhaul" or "Revenge Of the Enemies 2016 Modified SE"
Thank you I will definitely check that out!
I did make the combat against Bandits more challenging here: th-cam.com/video/ayXha2lRnPk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=C2bIR5Pgx8cW0w0l
Using the OBIS bandit mod
By the Gods. Can't afford a good PC right now and I'm at the mod limit on XBSX. Still I'll probably be playing until I retire
Ahh sorry, it is pricey but too be honest if you opt for AMD parts you can actually build a pc that will run this easily for the same price as current consoles now :)
Let me know if you ever do look into getting a pc, I would be happy to help.
Thanks. I usually just use my phone for stuff and know very little about PC specs. I'd prefer using a controller vs keyboard/mouse also
I understand,
I also prefer controller.
All my gameplay has been recorded with a controller :)
Modded is better than starfield overall lmao
I forgot how nostalgic LE is ❤
Yeah some of us have been modding so long we've forgotten the original
This is very good but you should have atleast left the iconic skyrim song.......🥰🤩
Yes you are right, I will be making a vanilla+ list soon which will keep the iconic theme songs
INCREDIBILI!!!
YES :)
What are the names of the mods that appear in the video, about the voice dialogue and the action wheel when exchanging weapons? 😊
Make a video of the fight with Alduin in this mod list I wanna see how good it looks
Great idea!
Scrolling through the comment section....
Random bandit: "you never should of come here!" 😂
Haha :)
The debate is on!
@FROSTGamingVerse but seriously, though, what mod you using to overhaul the Bandit camps?
No hate to the list the gameplay look undeniably more modern and probably more enjoyable for most but I’d take vanilla over MCO any day
Vanilla plus definitely retains skyrims original charm and I value it too :)
The graphics are nice. The melee combat too. But i prefer vanilla bows than those automatic aims and rapid shots.
Yes, I am working on the bow combat at the moment, thanks for the input :)
The movement and musics reminds me of Assassins Creed
It does take some inspiration from it :)
Nice video!! What is the location mod for that Robber's Gorge overhaul?
Thank you!
The mod is Ryns: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/64326

Yeah it does a little hey :)
This looks amazing man, what are the bow mods and the item selection mods? that ui looks so clean
I use dynamic bow animtaion!
And edge ui
Mods definitely make the game better but when I get a gaming computer, I’m gonna try to balance the combat because it just seems like he’s beating up on the computer so easily
u got some skyrim in this mods 😄😄
Haha just a little :)
I've never really played Skyrim but this looks awesome. Is it hard to mod it? How many mods are you running? Is there a 1 mod does all? Wish there was 😆
@@cptrockstar3292 modding Skyrim is awesome because you basically make your own game!
Unfortunately there isn't one mod that does it all. I have several mods in this list.
But fortunately it doesn't take alot of mods to get a similar effect
We turned Slyrim into Elder Scrolls 6 before Bethesda released it.
Exactly!
Amazing
Thanks!
I really want a mod that just improve the textures without modify all aspects of the game...
There are plenty of awesome texture overhaul mods out there.
Are you on pc or console?
@@FROSTGamingVerse I am on PC
wait til he hears about witcher 3
Yes big fan of that too.
I want to modify it more with the Redkit which recently released :)
I am a npc from skyrim and I love vanilla, vanilla forever
Good to hear from you Ebony Warrior ;)
This game change my perspective.now I don't like games which can't be heavily modable like skyrim.
Haha sorry, what a about something closer to vanilla?
Can this combat mod accessible for ps4? I didn’t mind the music change, like the combat it was a breath of fresh air
Unfortunately, most of the combat related mods are pc only, but I'm glad you enjoyed it!
that ui is fckng amazing. so shame not many game ui like this
Thank you!
Its called EDGE UI
