    I have the generic version of this kayak... the Perception Pescador Pilot 12.0. It has the exact same pedal drive... but without the feature of being able to step on a foot toggle to cause the drive to auto-retract.
    I will say this after 3 years of purely salt fishing and running aground many hundreds times on things like sand and oyster bars... that drive is built like a tank! I did take it apart and pack it with marine grease the day I bought it. Other than that All I have done is a fresh water rinse after every trip.
    If I ever upgrade... it will likely be to the Wilderness Radar.

      MySuburbanHomestead that’s good to hear, man. How’s the fishing been?

      @@SeriousAnglerBassFishing Meh, Since I bought the kayak I have moved 3 times.
      The few times I went fishing down in Mobile, AL it was amazing.
      Virginia Beach was hit or miss. A lot of water types to try out there. Summer seemed harder but decent. Didn't have time to figure the area out really.
      Now, down here in NE North Carolina, I may have found fishing paradise. It has Fresh, Brackish, and Gobs of inshore/near shore options. I have only been once so far down here though out at Manteo. So only time will tell.

      @@SeriousAnglerBassFishing You know it! There is an insane amount of inshore waters here. I just need to figure out how far the salt oriented fish go and the fresh water fish go.

    Nice video, thats alot like my Radar setup. You mentioned moving your rudder control to the otherside...on mine it didnt have the tubes to run the cables so I stuck with it on the left. I have a few other things on mine, a 7" Lowrance, and the Boone Dox Landing gear as I am pushing 60 with several surgeries and this kayak likely approaching 200#. I put the Wildy deck pad on an old Tarpon and it wasnt long and it started pealing up, have u had any issues with that?

      Keith Moore I haven’t had any issues thus far and I’ve been beating the hell out of it. I do make sure to clean it every few weeks but I’m out 4-5 days a week and has been awesome. I am looking to get a Lowrance Elite 7 or 9ti on there. How is yours mounted? And I NEED to get Boone dox, would make life easier

    Looking at this kayak or a hobie. Any comparison thoughts?

    • @SeriousAnglerBassFishing
      @SeriousAnglerBassFishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lyle Casteel guess is depends on what factors you’re trying to compare

      @SeriousAnglerBassFishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lyle Casteel I have never used a Hobie drive, but knowing many people who do have it, Wildy is a little more heavy duty, you can beat up on it. But hobie is also faster and more efficient. That’s my opinion though!

    Hey man I’m just wondering.. how the hell did you install your garmin striker 4 to the flex pod? I’m having some trouble with it right now because it doesn’t come with a vertical mounting bracket.

    • @SeriousAnglerBassFishing
      @SeriousAnglerBassFishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ayyo Patty I used a GoPro Mount for my transducer haha, then the graph went on top of the pod

      Eigbrett Outdoors same screws that the garmin striker 4 comes with?

      Ayyo Patty just a simple suction cup mount I drilled and apoxied into the bottom
