These types of games just wanna make you watch constantly.
These are the games IMO that make us all love the competition/FREEDOM/families to love this talent and emotion :)...this was a good one ....might go down as a classic later on.....well see how the cougs do it this yr
I don't normally start to watch until round 2 or 3. Usually round 3. This game was awesome
Houston has had to grind out this game, and Texas A&M deserves credit for making this a thrilling game to remember. The Cougars are gonna have to clean things up before their matchup with Duke

That had to be one of the greatest games in March Madness history. What a game that was! The Aggies were dead in the water with just over a minute to go and they somehow forced OT on that wild three. Houston grinded it out but I gotta hand it to the Aggies for putting up a fight. Great game!

Houston finds a way to win. These are the games that champions must win.
Everything that could go wrong went wrong and they still won. Other contenders would have folded if you put them in that situation.

Masterful work to edit out the announcers saying how much Houston was fouling but getting away with… real topic on the halftime show… should’ve been a lot more free throws.. Houston got exposed: if a&m makes their free points they win by 16, let that sink in. Houston is trash and shouldn’t be a 1 seed

The officiating was very much favored towards A&M. The amount of FTs they shot, plus a bogus jump ball call at the end. They had so many chances to win. All they had to do was take advantage of the opportunity given to them by the officiating crew and they didn’t.
As an A&M fan I’ll never forget this game , the Garcia 3 filled me with joy I haven’t felt since Johnny manziel

That jump ball call might be the worst call in basketball history. Investigate that ref, he had money on the game.
From the angle in this video i see it as a jump ball, they both had hands on it before the Houston player ripped it away.
The only thing I see suspicious about it is that the ref called it very late as soon as he saw that the Texas player was losing control but idk 🤷🏿♀️
what about the no calls⁉️ u of h was hacking at a&m but no calls. but they also werent making free throws. a&m got away with some fouls too but still.

Fast forward to now, he hit a clutch free throw for Houston to advance to the Sweet 16! He also had 7 points against Kansas on senior night
Horrible jump ball call by the refs to give A&M the tying bucket. Thankfully Houston was able to overcome that atrocious call.
Imagine if they would have called over the back on the big dunk? Or what about the phantom out of bounds call when Carter stole and broke away to the hoop? Or the phantom foul in OT on 3. Or the 50 other times A&M was hacked driving the hoop with no call.

@@longboarder543 Refs didn;t give us that. Terrible UH defense getting beat all night and fouling did. The halftime show led with how many more calls there could have been. Number doesn't matter. Your team is a foul machine. Lucky A&M missed their FT's.

8 players vs 5. Someone decided to give the SEC a golf handicap, +15 free throws and +4 key players with a 4 point game in OT with more than 1 minute to go in order to make the game look competitive. Giving UH all the credit here as they were meant to lose this game. Whenever they play higher profile conference, the fouls are stacked against them.

The worst officiated game of the tournament by far. 8 VS 5 the entire game for the Cougars. Disgraceful.

God I love this team. Most teams would fold under pressure and basically having your entire starting five foul out. We're not like most teams though, nobody has the heart or hustle that we have. GO COOGS!

Aggies gave it all they have fans should be proud this season fellas played really hard this game.
I've noticed that the top seeds that get a gut check win against teams some would say they should beat comfortably usually make a deep run in the tournament. TX A&M had the benefit of seeing Houston already and were somewhat prepared for their style of play. Duke has not had that luxury and I think it will show because no team in the ACC plays with the level of physicality and intensity that Houston does.

Agreed. It would have been nerve-wracking to see this without the thumbnail giving it away, but it still would have been better. I do my best to avoid looking at the thumbnail, but sometimes I still see it when I don't want to.

Houston could have had 3 guys foul out in the first half if they would have called everything. Houston plays bully ball and finally met a team that drives right into them. Props to UH. Their ability to battle literally the whole game is uncanny. I've got them in winning it all.

Houston fan- you know whats funny, everyone is forgetting we are VERY HANDICAPPED at the moment were as some or most teams still have a good roster; however, that is not an excuse to not still play well and win if any team is capable of doing it, I dont know what happened the last few minutes but possesions like that gives me flashbacks from the Texas game at the Moody Center, Iowa State at Hilton, and TCU at their place (can't remember the name). Keep that in mind as everyone continues to say Houston should have lost. All credits to the A&M though. I know this game was either a revenge game and/or game where Houston was tested. This was the game that was make or break for March run for Houston because of A&Ms strength (your record does not define). I only feared one player on their squad and thank the heavens he did not get to go off like the 1st time it went down because even though we won that game I consider it a loss while locking down the game: Wade Taylor (1st game- 34 pts). Taylor is something special.
Going forward though, given how handicapped we are, I can't see how deep we are going to run. My only prayer is that we DO NOT, ABSOLUTELY NOT have a rematch with Iowa State should we go that far. I do not like the fact that there is almost a mirror version of Houston in the way Iowa State plays their defense and its a horrible matchup.

If this isn't a wakeup call for the cougars, they'll be heading home early. Next week they will face Duke. The one thing they have going for them is they'll be playing in Texas. If the game were being held in North Carolina i'd say Duke wins.

Vs a red hot scrappy A&M team, refs were against them, had no momentum, 4 starters fouled out. 3 of them are your big 3 players. walk ons going in a close game, yet Houston still found a way to hold that. This is why I think Houston will win it all. Only championship teams win games like these, other teams would’ve folded in this situation.
