If there is one thing this series is teaching me its that being perma banned for toxicity really gives your mindset and MMR the reset it needed for you to start climbing.
That was my thought too. Although he's jungle so he can time his picks and fights better. There's still mythic passive move speed too. This pick would terrify me still
I feel like this nerf will get canceled out now that ravenous hunter is gone. Because people will just go ingenious hunter instead for the lower cool down on items so the cool down change will hardly be noticed

I think that is the reason why galeforce will be nerfed. Daruis and Garen are abusing it cuz they used to build stridebreaker that had a dash and a movement speed passive but now the dash is gone so they now use galeforce
honestly they gutted stridebreaker. when it had the dash it was great, then they removed the dash it was still good for garen/darius with the 90% slow, but now it's just a trash 40% slow, who would build that shit? and darius/garen have no true mythic. They should bring it back somehow. Maybe remove the movespeed stack on mythic passive and give AH or health or smth instead.

These galeforce builds on chmaps like Darius garen or sett just show how bad it was to remove stridebreaker dash. Just make the dash a longer cooldown like it is for galeforce
In Wild rift you can take ghost and phase rush while taking the normal attack runes for Darius in order to be very sticky and slow resistant. It's very good.
i tried this before and its alright but if youre facing bursty champs its not that good. I used to be a darius one trick and found out Deadmans is the best second item becuase it gives you move speed and slows the enemy and if you build Bork 3rd no ome is getting away from you and you dont have to sacrifice conquerer for move speed
@@bananaman6324 I too have mained Darius for a long time now, experimented with botrk, but came to the conclusions that you become way too squishy to be useful. Plus, the spellblade passive on Trinity/Divine is just too good to give up.
About Final Fantasy being inspiration for League: no, it was Dota, a Warcraft 3 custom map. It likewise houses 5 heroes, with minions and structures. If you look at the map of it, League's map is pretty much a carbon copy with added features. It came out in 2003. League's controls are also incredibly similar to Warcraft 3
I kinda disagree with the "teams having to fight on soul point even though they know they'll lose the fight should be fixed" because i mean like yeah ? teams should be punished for ignoring objectives/being far behind
It just leads into characthers that are stronger late to lose early dragon fights they are forced into else they lose later risking their advantage that they should have. It is also a massive trap because you can have extremly mobile junglers like shaco and kayn just simply ignore them as long as they have vision of them because they will always be in time to respond creating a situation where you are pressured into bad decisions for your team based on your enemies actions that have nothing to do with the objective. Pushing late game strategies into a dragon fight for a non gold reward is incredibly awkward especially because the individual soul fragments are not considered the big reward anyway. And the entire arguement about having to care for the objective falls apart when the RNG just decides that the objective isnt worth it for you by giving you a sub par dragon soul/passives.

The guys point is obviously true (he's better than me by a long shot), but where the W changes help is at lvl 1, as it makes it extremely strong to take as your first ability for cheesing and getting max stacks quickly. Guys 20 seconds nerf on galeforce does nothing, it already has long cooldown so you wont use it twice in fight anyway. I have played this more than 500 games and carried friends to plat in EUW, but your brain will melt when your feeding team mates start pinging your galeforce build. I ran this build with ghost + movement speed runes to run enemy jungle down lvl4 at scuttle, but since scuttle xp nerf you might just give up all early game pressure and play with flash. Pro tip dont think you can frontline 5v5 with this pick and yes you are complitely sub champion without flash. Sooo you are much better off with viego/volibear, but if you want to play league on hardmode - sure play darius.
@@galacticpotata8192 that is not the point, because with or without nimbus cloak your flash is still just a gap closer with large cooldown. The idea with ghost is to have gap closer with 3.5 min cooldown instead of 5 min cooldown as flash. That enables 2.5 min window to repeat gank of one successful gank. So with ghost darius has decent agency early game.
@@nikijoe100 the thing is with nimbus cloak is that it doesn't only work with flash, it also works with smite. Meaning all your summoners give you basically a mini ghost. Plus smite is on an EVEN lower cooldown than all the spells combined.
I really like the idea of that cross over to the DS game but in reality Leagues history lies with Dota because the previous project managers started to try and make a marketable version of the map since it was now outside their control and changing rapidly while icefrog was working on it. I remember always hearing that Icefrog was denied a position on the league team early on because he wouldve made it too much like what dota was at the time. (No idea how true that rumor is). Considering that Dota has been around for a very long time and its ancestor map existed in Starcraft brood war it would not suprise me if the Final fantasy game mode was inspired by it. There was another game that directly tried to mimic dotas style with its own ideas where you had heroes like a walking town golem that you could upgrade individual buildings on just as 1 characther, but since that was a sold game it had barely if any playerbase. Heroes of Newerth also came out before League was finished bein in the beta and partook in both betas for these games, in the case of HoN it just copied Dota heavily and then put in characthers from another franchise the company owned but made those way to strong and various other things that while now would not seem greedy were definetly at the time. (Its mostly forgotten)
Haha! I’m a darius jg one trick! That’s awesome Edit: I watched the vid and it’s interesting how our play styles are similar in some ways, different in others. We both stack drakes and walk away from camps while they bleed. I prefer Prowlers over Galeforce and Randuins over Deadman’s (movement speed is nice but deadman’s 80 armor and AD reduction is better imo). We both camp bushes and look for picks it sounds like. However, I play darius more for early-mid game. If the enemy midlane is aggressive, I gank level 2 (with Q and E leveled) and get a kill almost every time while collecting their flash. Or you can do a lvl 2 lane gank botlane for some cheese if the enemy support is a squishy pick. Lastly, I like ghost with nimbus cloak, so I can get a kill or good teamfighr every three minutes as opposed to flash’s long cooldown. What’s funny is that I actually tried to climb to master with this pick so I could be on this channel. It’s one of my favorite league channels to watch as I’ve always loved off meta, and Darius jg is one of the things i’ve built myself (and it has grown with me! rest in peace strikebreaker dash).
If you want to play Darius and happen to play with friends it's a good idea to play with champions that can constantly slow the enemy as it helps him reach his targets and takes a lot of stress off his shoulders. Ashe, Lissandra and Sejuani are all ready good duo options. I've played with Darius on my team many times while I was on Ashe. Regardless of their skill level it usually ends up with a kill for my team if I can keep auto attacking whoever he is chasing. That bleed damage is no joke.

They should be, it's just a bit too much of a 'game over' right now. If teams are even and 1 gets some dragon sneaks early on - they are actually super far ahead which means less fun teamfights, more pve

I thought it was common knowledge that the creators of league were some of the creators of the Warcraft 3 frozen throne custom map “Defense of the Ancients” or DOTA for short. Then some of them went on to create riot games and league. I’m also old and remember going after elementary school to the Internet cafe by my house and playing WC3 frozen throne custom maps like dota with friends so maybe it’s just me who thinks it’s common knowledge💀

No, these champions were designed to not have dashes, they should never revert strikebreaker.
You could maybe get away with it making them faster but a dash is clearly cancer.
I still miss playing Poppy with the old Stridebreaker. Love the extra cc from the dash that could increase the range of her E. Really fun to play.

Not at all imo. Cooldown nerf just means you need to plan better and high elo players already do that

Is no one gonna mention the part where they think League got the idea from that final fantasy game? I thought it was common knowledge that the creators of league were some of the creators of the Warcraft 3 frozen throne custom map “Defense of the Ancients” or DOTA for short. Then some of them went on to create riot games and league. I’m also old and remember going after elementary school to the Internet cafe by my house and playing WC3 frozen throne custom maps like dota with friends so maybe it’s just me who thinks it’s common knowledge💀
