    I’ve never used a planner just a regular notebook that I track things in but this year with a middle schooler I feel like I need a planner so I have been on the hunt for a good fit! I like what I see here.

    I love how logical you are! Your presentation of the pro’s and con’s with a calm, no nonsense voice is just refreshing to me. I’ve had to fast forward so many of the other presenters when they talk about how pretty the pages are over and over again or when they go off on a tangent 😂

    We’re on our 2nd year using this planner. We love it. I’ve never had an issue with the coil breaking.

      That is great to hear! My planner is also holding up really well so far this year.

    I really like how sturdy the pages are and the pockets. It's a bit bulky so I can't carry it around but it's a wonderful planner. The Bible Verses can't be beat!

    I've also been using this planner for 5 years now. I couldn't do without it and highly recommend it.

    Love the idea to take out pages you don’t need to make it slimmer! Thanks for this walkthrough!

    I love this planner! I’ve used it for 3 years now. My plastic piece has never broken but I probably don’t use mine as much as you do. I’m using it more and more each year as my homeschool days get busier

    I’m wondering if this planner would work well for multiple kids? I’ll have two schooling this year and I’m having a hard time seeing if I could fit both of their daily plans into just 6 slots 🧐

      Definitely. I use it with three kids! It works really well. I just use their initials to keep it organized, which is on their sample pages. I hope that helps!

    I love the look of the current year planner. Wish I had gotten it! 😢

    This will be my second year using this planner and I absolutely love it. I’ve considered getting something thinner but I haven’t found anything that comes close to what this one offers.

      I agree! Though it is a little big, it still has everything I need in a planner. It's still my fav!

    I used the Mardel planner this year for the first time. The coil on mine broke in the same spot, and I really wish the weekly pages included Saturday and Sunday as well. It has worked for me but having to rethread the coil each time I open it is a hassle.

    • @homeschoolpeace

      It definitely is a hassle to re thread it! Maybe in the future they will change up the coil! I still love using the planner but a new coil would be awesome!

    I wonder if there is anything you can do before the coil breaks to prevent it from breaking? I don't have the answer and I'm just thinking out loud while drinking my morning coffee. Maybe bending it down?

    • @homeschoolpeace
      @homeschoolpeace  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Thanks for the idea. I wish it could bend it down. The coil is plastic, not metal. If it was a metal one I bet I could bend it. The plastic coil will just snap again. Thanks!

    I love the contents of the planner, however I had one last year and it had frayed tabs and the cover started looking awful after 2 months of use. I was really hoping that they changed the card stock cheap cover and tabs, but it doesn’t look like they did😩

    Great video, Cass! Do you fill out the weekly pages before beginning the week (like a Sunday evening) or do you fill it out after you've completed school for the day (as a way to record what you actual did)?

    • @homeschoolpeace
      @homeschoolpeace  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thanks! I fill out the weekly pages before the start of the week. I typically plan one to two weeks out. I will write out the day plans over the weekend or in the evenings. I then check off as we finish the lessons/activities for the day. Hope that helps!

    Hello,
    First time Mardel customer! Upon looking at their website I found that they have an undated one along with the dated 22/23 edition.
    Do you think you can get 2 years out of one planner if you use the undated one? Or does it seem to be single use only?

    • @homeschoolpeace
      @homeschoolpeace  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would not be able to use it for multiple years. Definitely a one time use.

    I don't think it's anything you are doing to make that coil break because I've used A Simple Plan for years and every year I have the same problem with the coil. That being said, I really love the planner itself. I wish they would change the coil on the planners though.
