Funny thing about Stu, the actors name is Stu Rutherford and he was just an It Technician on the movie with 0 acting experience who was pulled in and convinced to act. So his reactions to the insanity of the other actors are just 100% real. It's brilliant in a weird way and for this movie it just works.
I can't believe I caught this movie on Netflix years ago. It's original, charming, and smart. It was a breath of fresh air. It was like watching Clerks for the first time back in the day.
There was going to be a sequel movie called "We're Wolves", but it got canceled when Taika's Hollywood career took off, he and the guys kept trying to make a spot in their schedules, then they got the offer for the US Series and though they still want to do it they know they don't have the time to male it properly.
You guys are probably also familiar with the actor who plays Bratislav. His names Jemaine Clement. My fav role and the one you guys prob have the best chance of knowing is Tamatoa the crab in Moana. But also boris the animal in men in black 3 and he was in flight of the concords. He's done a ton of stuff. Also he and taika wrote this and they write the show together
There are two tv shows that spun off from this movie. One has the same name as the movie and follows a different group of vampires in the US. Definitely worth watching if you like the movie. It’s become one of my favourite shows. The other is called Wellington Paranormal. It follows the two police officers as they investigate supernatural situations. It’s more low budget like the movie and has that same New Zealand humour. It’s also a very funny show.
This is my favorite movie too! My cat's name is even Viago. I was so worried it would be too weird or niche or dry for some of my friends, but for Halloween last year I invited a bunch of people over to watch it. It was a huge hit! We even ended up getting most of the same people back this year for a rewatch. Great first reaction vid y'all!
If you like Kiwi accents, try watching Flight of the Conchords. It was a series on HBO for two seasons. Jemaine Clement, who played Vladislav, and Rhys Darby, who was the main werewolf, are in it. So funny. Real deadpan humor.
You might want to try Jojo Rabbit (Taika directs and plays Hitler), Our Flag Means Death (Rhys Darby (the alpha werewolf) and Taiki both star), and Flight of the Conchords (Jemaine Clement (Vladislav) co-stars and Rhys Darby is a main supporting role).
Good choice, Stefani! I, myselve, started late with the show when it was nearly at the end; but it became one of my favourites, because it has all the elements: drama, action, mystery, action, politics, suspense, humour, but above all, in comparison to other “action/fantasy” shows it has beautiful dialogues (perhaps an idea to keep more of the dialogues in the edit?) and great acting. Regarding the violence in the show: sometimes scenes are that brutal that you just have to look away. Also it can be hard to watch for anyone with a great feel for justice, you just have to wait/watch for silver linings. If you are already in for a suggestion: another great show that aired around the same time is "Orphan Black", also greatly recommended. I wish you a great journey, you made a good start! Warm regards from the Netherlands!
The tv series by the same name is brilliant and both Tiaka Waititi and Jermaine Clement both direct sometimes write for it and both and deacon make appearances it has huge guest Stars in most episodes and the other off shoot is Wellington paranormal and it follows the two police officers having to deal with vampires werewolves zombies and such things Jermaine Clement and Rys Darby who plays the alpha werewolf wrote and star in flight of the concords it's a few years old now but got quite big and is funny as well if you like that sort of dead pan humour.🇳🇿
all of you are bubbly and very much to life and i like that, which is why I joined patreon. Seems like you from North America..Chicago? the windy city?
If you ever come back this way, I'd love to see your take on the "Wellington Paranormal" TV series, which spins off the story(ies) of the two cops who appear in this movie. Minority opinion: It's actually _better_ than the TV show "What We Do In The Shadows", but it's my opinion. Nice short half-hour format, made some two dozen episodes then rolled up the tent before it went flabby. Just found this channel, and I think I'll likely be happy to catch your reaction to whatever you watch, so it's all good ;)
Loving this movie as much as i did I was wary of a TV show trying to capitalize on the name and I couldn't have been more wrong. The FX series is amazing and well worth the watch.
The girl in the middle has some nerve saying someone will be boring and should not be in a reaction video. Ummm, she sat there stone face a majority of the time. No reaction at all really.

Stu! Stu! Stu! Stu!...
He also did some of the vfx for the Waititi Thor film(the scene showing the Valkyries fighting Hela).
Hey TH-cam! This is our first ever reaction video! Thanks for checking us out more to come very soon! #winteriscoming

One of the best movies. Glad they liked it.

The show is quite different but in the same style and is still great.

Werewolves can eat chips
He also wrote and directed _Jojo Rabbit_ which is one of the best films of the last decade. Recommend.

This was our very first video ever lol so definitely some nerves we were working through!
